Strength:

Suds up real good in cold water and easily washes built up dirt and road film away.

I like the waxed look and shine left after washing my vehicle. I get comments like
"did you have your truck detailed?" It really looks great, even my wife gives her approval. I highly recommend Zip Wax by Turtle Wax for it's protection to keep your vehicle looking like it's just had a $75 detail job.

suds up really good even in very cold water, removes dirt with ease,do not need to use alot, just a cap or planning on spending time rinsing the car more often. Also stays sudsy even when the water is filthy.

Weakness:

Not good at removing bugs or tar.

Great product for the money.

Strength:

extends the life of regular wax applications, gets places you can't get to with regular wax, protects exterior rubber and trim.

Weakness:

Not a stand-alone paint protectant (doesn't have the ingredients to "feed" the paint, remove oxidation, etc.)

I've been using zip wax for about 40 years to keep my vehicles clean and the outer surfaces protected. I use a proper wax twice a year, Spring and Fall, and zip wax the rest of the time. The zip wax get into cracks and crevices that I can't get to with regular wax plus it protects the rubber around the glass and so on as well. I keep my cars for years, then generally give them to one of the kids. My son has our old 87 Chevy Van and follows the same routine (as he does with his Jaguar) and it still looks great. We had a water spotting problem too, but that's our hard water from our well. We bought an in-line filter from an RV store and that fixed the problem. It's probably the water, not the wax.

Several other brands that seem the same, though aren't always available and seem to charge more for their name.

Strength:

I used to spend 10 bucks at the wand wash and now I spend less than a dollar doing it my self, getting all the nooks and crannies along with some exercise and fresh air.

Weakness:

One guy commented on water spots. I have gotten very few. If you're in a rush then yes you'll get them but if you wait for the majority of the car to dry by it self and then you dry the rest with a soft towel... you're lookin' like a million bucks. Though it's true when he says the water spots are more difficult to get off than they should be. I should note that I don't know what it's like to wash in the sun as I wash my car in my warehouse. Even in my warehouse the soap on the car dries very quickly so I've adopted a technique of washing one little section very well and then spraying it down and then moving to the next section.

Great stuff especially considering the price.

None in fact. I was faced with a wall of stuff that all looked the same to me. I have a bottle of Turtle wax sitting in the shop that I had used way back when and that came to mind when faced with the 34,500 different waxes in the store so I looked for Turtle and sure enough, it was right in front of me.

Weakness:

Need to have container that sprays clear water then soap and then again the clear spray

After washing my windows with Windex Outdoor wash it was time to wash the car. I thought that seeing the Windex bottle does sich a nice and complete job on the windows I would give it a try on the car. I filled the bottle with the Zip wax and proceeded to wash the car. NEVER did I dream I would get such a great car wash and in such a short time. For a soon to be 74 year old grandmother to be able to wash a car and have such great results is unbeliveable. Did you ever think of changing your was container to look like the Windex Outdoor Window wash?

Strength:

cheap price

Weakness:

(see review summary)

one word: SPOTS. damn spots everywhere. especially on warmer days when it dries faster, and you dont get to it with the towel fast enough. these spots are also very difficult to get off, you might as well wash the whole car again.

Strength:

It works to clean and protect. It does its job.

Weakness:

It doesn't give a show car shine. You have to soak bugs for a while to get them off and it ignores tar.

I've used it exclusively for many, many years on all my cars and vans. It was the only thing I used on a Jeep Cherokee for 11 years--it still looked good when I sold it. Same for several vans (ever try waxing a van?). I haven't waxed in years.

Strength:

Good results. Usually you can find it at a good price. Doesn't take much to wash a car.

Weakness:

None really. This is good wash.

I can usually find it on sale at Walmart or the like. I would definitely recommend it. I have never had any negative results from using this product.

Strength:

Good cheap car wash liquid that doesn't seem to strip the wax or leave wet spots.

Weakness:

None.

Would recommend if you get a sale price. Works just as good as some of the more expensive car washes like Mother's or Mcquires. Suds up nicely and seems to clean effectively.

Similar Products Used:

Similiar to other car wash products but if you can get it on sale it is a good bargin.

Strength:

Inexpensive, doesn't strip wax from car.

Weakness:

The 'built in' waxing properties.

For the price, this stuff seems to do a good job of getting the car clean without stripping the wax from the surface. Sheets of of the car pretty well, making it easier to dry. I don't really have any use for the built in 'waxing' qualities of the car wash. I can't imagine depending on that to serve as a wax job.

Nothing, really.
