Borla Cat-Back System Cat back Exhaust Systems

Borla Cat-Back System Cat back Exhaust Systems

DESCRIPTION

BORLA exhaust is built of aircraft-quality T-304 stainless steel -- stainless inside and out, not mild steel, not aluminum, not coated aluminum, not just wrapped with stainless on the outside for show. Coating techniques, such as aluminizing, can somewhat prolong the life of mild steel, but coatings suffer at the weld points. And, comparing aluminized steel to T-304 stainless steel is like comparing gold-plated metal to solid gold! T-304 stainless steel has the highest chromium content, making it the most resistant to corrosion and therefore the most desirable material for a long-lasting exhaust system. Note: Only the flanges are not stainless. Available for most all popular US, Japanese and European car applications.

Strength:

Tone; loud when you want it, but not too loud; stainless steel; awesome chrome tips.

Weakness:

Expensive.

Worth every penny! I would recommend this to anyone looking to make their Mustang sound "mean". Not extremely loud, but it really kicks in around 2,500 RPM and sound great at WOT. You might as well make your V8 sound like one.

Strength:

Sound and performance

Weakness:

More dificult to put on in this application then most other. IT requires some cutting of the old Exhaust.

Gives a deep sound to the V6 which is hard to do. Going to get it for my 02 expedition.

Strength:

good quality,easy install

Weakness:

not the sound I wanted, flowmaster is louder

I have the rear section kit for my camaro, both tail pipes exit at the driver side.Summit had a special, so I had to get a Borla at this price. It sounds nothing like the adjustable kit for 4th generation F-bodys.In my opinion it has a medium-high rumble, slightly higher than a flowmaster at idle and wide open throttle. If anyone is thinking about getting this set-up, spend the extra money and get the adjustable system.

Strength:

Nice finish, good deep sound. Perfect fit.

Weakness:

only the price

I have to say the truck does look better with it, the sound it's great not to loud, but enough so you know it's there. About increase power I do not think it makes a lot of difference may be 5 to 8 more hp. Overall this product is great a little expensive but you will enjoy the sound and looks of your vehicle and you will get notice.

Strength:

Stainless steel(million-mile warranty). Nice exotic-looking tips. Dyno-proven rear-wheel horsepower gains.

Weakness:

Cost. Sounds AWFUL without cats or when heavily modified IMHO.

Replacing the old Random Tech cat-back I first had on my '00 Z28, WOW! Waaaaay louder and more aggressive sounding. Kinda quiet at idle, but very noticeable at cruise. And of course, nascar-like scream at WOT. Overall, has a very "unique" sounding rumble to it. The fitment was great and the car seemed to rev-up a little quicker. Unfortunately I had to get rid of it shortly thereafter due to needing the money. Sounds fairly good on a stock LS1 but better on the LT1. Oh...Do NOT run this exhaust without cats(unlike you like RASP)!

The Borla exhaust doesn't have a real deep sound to it but also doesn't sound like every other American V8 on the road either(Flowmaster, SLP Loudmouth, etc...)

Strength:

More power, smother when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear, deeper stronger sound than factory, Doesn't stick out far or look bad, not to loud in the cabin, doesn't rust under heavy mudding, hunting and snow/rain

Weakness:

not polished, not as loud as flowmaster

The borla stainless steel cat back exhaust with a square tip is what I purchased. I was very impressed and am planing on buying borla stainless steal headers
