Strength:

-loud deep sound -full stainless system looks real good staring out of under the bumper. -should give good hp gains when combined with the right products(header, hf cat, intake, etc.)

Weakness:

-high price -people will hear you coming even if you don't want them too.

i just installed my tanabe super racing medallion cat back yesterday and i LOVE IT!!!!!. the install was a direct bolt on set-up and it only took about an hour. i have to say that this exhaust sounds better than anything that i have ever heard, IT IS VERY LOUD compared to other exhausts that i have used but that is one of the many things that i like about it. the sound is very deep and not buzzy at all like most other 4cylinder systems out there(p.s. your neighbors will hate you once you have this exhaust installed due to the deep sound it puts out). i highly recommend this exhaust to anyone who doesn't mind spending the extra money for top of the line performance products. this exhaust combined with my aem intake puts out a great race car sound and after i have a high flow cat installed with the jdm 4-1 header i'm about to buy i expect some pretty good power gains. buy this exhaust! don't settle for the cheap immitations. watch out for the cops and there tickets for noise pollution( yeah, it's that loud) because they will pull you over if your not smart about knowing when and when not to give it the extra gas

The exhaust is kind of an ass to put into the cat...I think it's design for the Si (2.3) models....Nice deep tone....hella of lot lighter than stock....easy to install....car accelerates smoother....it screams at VTEC

Light.. loud.. sounds great!!!! pretty easy to clean.. doesn't rust easily.. and very easy to install!! People will look at you with envy..

Weakness:

A bit much... is loud. so be forwarned.. not too loud.. but louder than fireball or greddy sp. If not tighten down has tendancy to rattle some bolts loose.

Great exhaust!!! I wanted something with some balls and this definitely has them! Fairly light.. breeze to install.. and sounds awesome on take off!! When v-tec kicks in with my CAI it sounds great.. the revs seem to just blip with ease and the car begs to be reved. My friends were jealous of the sounds and look (he had a Fireball) and then bought the Super Racing Medallion and has NO regrets.. If you want a shiny ass can that sounds tight, is lighter than stock, pretty loud but increase in performance.. get this!! The super racing meddalion!! If you add a header it makes it a little louder but sounds awesome with the stock header. Oh. and you get a silencer with it.. but you will never want to use it.. unless you are a wuss.. then get a greddy SP..

Similar Products Used:

Greddy Sp (too quiet, heavy, and rust really fast!!!), Fireball (lighter than the Tanabe, quieter, but too quiet for me) On a scale of sound Tanabe is the loudest, then Fireball and then greddy sp. Qu

Best sound on the market! You will make alot of people jealous!

Incredible! This is the best exhaust for my car! I am a die hard Import enthusiast but I always loved the sound of the exhaust on an american muscle car so I bought a flowmaster exhaust which was designed for imports. I did feel a bit more power but it sounded stock! I got rid of that for the Tanabe and this is amazing! It doesnt sound like those Ricey immatations either. You gotta get this! I had to special order this from ImportAve.com cause its not on their site but they hooked me up!

-DEEP (deepest exhaust i ever heard) -Does NOT sound like a can of bees -Frees up rpms -Looks dope from all angles -Polished from the cat-back to the canister -Louder than anything around!!! -Lightweight only 26lbs

Weakness:

If you have a lowered car i'd be careful. The canister sits pretty low. Other than that.. No Weaknesses!

I purchased the Super Racing Medallion ( the upgraded version of the racing medallion). Installed the exhaust yesterday! Let me just say this is by far the deepest exhaust I've ever heard! Looks soo dope from the back! It sits slanted with the oversized canister that puts chills on everyones backs! When you start it up, it gives a low deep growl, and idles like a caged up dog. When you accelerate it's louder than a semi-truck. You'll love tunnels & goin under bridges! It really frees up the rpms. There is less hesitation when I go WOT now. And sometimes when you let go off the gas, you'll get a backfire noise!! I LOVE IT! TURNS HEADS EVERYWHERE I GO. Worth every penny! After 3500rpms it pulls like crazy! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! Remember to get the SUPER MEDALLION!

Strength:

sound is excelent, looks great, I paid a good price I even got the wrong system, I recieved the super race medalion instead if race medalion, I dont care, its a better deal. if I could it would have 10 thumbs up

Weakness:

if your a wuss it might be loud, but I love it. it does vibrate a few things loose, but they are all easy enough to fix. and I cant believe that some ppl pay what they have for this, or are stupid enough to have someone charge them to put it in

the exhaust is great, I currently have a stock body and I think it fits with everything. the sound is EXACTLY what is bragged about, I even had my doubts before I installed it. The system was a perfect fit, and took 3 hours at a putzy pace. after 3000 rpm there is a definate change in horsepower its not big but its there, and in rev time, the needlt flies, under 3000 I have not losses at all. and as for tickets, I havent gotten any, and I dont even thing the cops care here

Strength:

The sound is absolutely gorgeous. Such a deep fat sound! really does free up upper rpm! whether there is power increase or not, hard to say..i think there is slight increase in power in the upper rpm.

Weakness:

where the hell did my lower rpm power go? there is a difference...slower acceleration from idle to about 3000rpm....after that the power is great...but to lose lower rpm is dissapointing..should have got the hpyer medalion instead i geuss. mabye this exhaust is good for turbos, not for my base RSX. but the sound is great..haah....and also since i rev it so much i'm eating up all the gas...but it's so fun..heeh..

First of all, the sound is great! like what everyone has said, it's very deep! i don't find it obnoxious, and i will never put the silencer on. Next, the thing looks real big! i have the Type R body kit and the exhaust still looks real big. Power wise, it really freed up the upper rpm. i can rev and rev and the car feels so much less restricted! but, WHaht the hell happend to low rpm power?? it dissappeared. i heard about getting a large exhaust will decrease low rpm power, but i didn't know it was this noticeable. ohwell. i geuss i should have gotten the hyper medallion instead.

stock exhaust: looks small and ugly, and no sound, but at least i have some low rpm.

Strength:

Very impressive sound....sounds like it can haul some serious arse, and it does....the permormance is definately there 3500 rpm's and up into vtec. Quality is excellent and it's light weight. Looks great. Very stylish and intimidating. I think it will look even better when I get a kit.

Weakness:

None so far....we shall see how it lasts in the long run. Some say it's too loud. Not for me, but opinions are varied. No tickets thus far, and I have passed by several cops....just go at cruising speed and not WOT and you shouldn't have a problem. Hell, you shouldn't go at WOT by cops anyway, unless your a moron. My cousin's roomate is actually a sheriff and when I pulled in and rev'd up, he came over to my window and said that he would give me a ticket if he didn't know me....but even he liked the way it sounded, heh.

I have not the words to describe how freak'n awesome this exhaust is. It is simply amazing. It fits like a glove on my prelude, although it does kind of look like a cannon sticking out from under my bumper, but that's not a bad thing at all....it looks really mean and stylish. The craftsmenship is superb and the construction of it is top-notch. Very light. And although this has been stated many a time on here, the sound is great...a low, deep rumble, not whiney and high pitched, nor like a can of PO'd bumblebees. It is loud, don't get me wrong....but it sounds clean and not annoying. Some have said that it drones on the highway, but the sound was very quiet to me...but then again I keep my music loud. Ordering from speedandstyle.com is the way to go, only 490$ shipped and it arrived in 7 days, although it did not come with the metal polish like some have said, but that's no loss for me. If I want it, I'll go get it somewhere. I paid 75$ to get it installed and it only took 20 minutes, I smoked and watched them do it.....to make sure they did it right, since it's not my usual shop and it looked very simple, as if I could have done it myself with the proper tools. I got raped on the price there, could have waited a few days and spent only 40$, but I was too eager to put it on. I hope it lasts in the long run, it did come with a 2 year warranty. I recommend this to anyone looking for great sound, performance, and looks. It's the whole package.

I use a custom made intake if anyone cares....and haven't got my DC header yet. Stock....but that's really no comparison at all.
