Lower deeper sound than the two chamber flows, Sounds different than others much better

Weakness:

Longest flowmaster 22 inches long and they cost a little more than the others but they are worth it.

Very nice and mellow on the road but when you get on it the sound is great. I have dual 70 series on a dual 2 1/2 inch system and it is great. Everyone has two chamber flowmasters and they all sound the same but my 70's sound different. They have a lower deeper sound and much less interior noise than the two chambers.

two chamber flows on a nova, too loud and sounds like all the others, Magnaflow on my suburban too loud also and it was a glass pack style which blew out.

Model Reviewed: 2000 Winnebago Minnie Winnie motohome, Ford E-450 chassis, 6.8L V-10

Strength:

It's not too loud, which is a desirable factor for an engine which, like in our heavy motorhome, is performing under full load most of the time.

Weakness:

None noted.

Although the motorhome only had 15K miles on it, I replaced the orginal muffler with the Flowmaster 70 for several reasons: I wanted a little more sound . . . but not too much sound; and, I wanted to get rid of some of the exhaust heat that comes through the driver's floor. Both goals have been achieved. I recommend the product for other motorhome owners.

I installed a Flowmaster (three chamber) on a 5.9L Dodge Ram pickup I owned and was very pleased with it. The sound was "just right."

Strength:

Nice sound. Not to loud in the interior, but when you floor it you truly do hear it then plus you also feel the difference in the power gain. Great for your SUV or truck for towing.

Weakness:

No lifetime warranty.

If you are looking for more power with a more aggressive sound other than your stock muffler this one's the on to get. Iv'e also installed a 3" mandrel bent pipe to go along with the muffler. A must have!

Magna flow. Too loud at certain RPM's.

Strength:

Very quiet. I started with stock and it was quiet but I wanted more power.
I went with a dynomax super turbo muffler, got great power, but it made a droning noise. The 70 series almost as quiet as stock and I still got a power increase.

Weakness:

I have left the 70 series in my truck and even though it is better than stock, does not compare to the super turbo from dynomax. I was very sad the
first few days and I noticed a substantial loss of power both at the bottom and top end of the rpm spectrum.

I guess you can't have it all. If you want lots of power with a droning noise go with the dynomax super turbo. If you want quiet go with the flowmaster 70 series. I have a dodge ram 5.9 with 3" exhaust and headers.

Terrific but subdued Flowmaster sound with minimal interior resonance! I am not a kid, but have a two year old in a baby seat and my wife loves to drive this car. It sounds great on the outside yet can easily hear the radio and talk on the inside!

Weakness:

Not the cheapest Flowmaster but worth every penny. People get in my car and say "Flowmasters are too loud, what kind of mufflers are these?" When I tell them they're Flowmasters, they can't believe it. They cost me $220 without the pipes or installation.

I would recommend them to any where they would fit. I about to use them on my Barracuda.

Strength:

Good sound, a little improvement on horsepower, fair price

Weakness:

Wow. What a difference. The 70 series is designed to have a nice mellow tone without excessive interior sound. The muffler performs just like the manufacturer describes. The muffler has a nice tone when accelerating and climbing hills, but gets very quiet at cruising speed. This product is perfect for someone who wants a performance sound that doesn't drown out conversation or the radio inside the vehicle. I would recommend this product to people who drive the vehicles on a daily basis. The constant droning sound of other louder mufflers would probably irritate most people on long trips or commuting to work.

Similar Products Used:

Stock OEM muffler. Let's face it. The mufflers are purchased primarily for the sound, not fuel economy or power gains.
