Strength:

Cheap compared to most other name brand mufflers. Straight thrue design gives better HP than a stock muffler. Looks very good.

Weakness:

Does not have a deep tone and is raspy even with stock pipes and a resonator. When the engine is warm it sounds decent.

I''ve had this muffler for a month already. I have a header on my car and this makes the muffler sound horrible without a resonator. Once I put a resonator the mufflers tone sounds decent, even on the stock pipes it sounds just a bit raspy. I wish it had a deeper tone, I think magnaflows sound much better without a header on the car.

Thrush turbo muffler. It sounded a hell of a lot better than my magnaflow but I felt an increase in hp when I swapped out the turbo muffler for the magnaflow. The thrush muffler sounded very deep, eve

Strength:

Cheap, sounds deep and really good!

Weakness:

???

Have the muffler and a cherry bomb glasspack on. Feels great, absolutely no sounds to annoy me. Quieter than stock but gains a lot of power. I''d say you need to get a glasspack/presilencer for this type of straight through muffler.

Strength:

such a clean tone... such a clean tone. deep and strong upon acceleration, barely noticeable above 75mph. very inexpensive compared to most other applications. i felt that power improved slightly throught the low powerband.

Weakness:

that they don''''t come stock on cars.

try to understand that i am one of those people that has to see to believe. just had the exhaust installed 40 minutes ago- and everything you''''ve heard- is true. the tone is extremely clean and powerful and acceleration is easier and a little quicker than before. my jaw literally dropped upon startup. i love it. (cost was only $200 installed, but i bought them lunch out of appreciation)

Strength:

Price, beautiful construction and appearance, mellow sound, additional power. Unique appearance.

Weakness:

Not a bolt on for the car owner.

I looked hard for a Cat back system for a 3.2TL and those I found were all over $600 over the internet, plus shipping. I heard good things about Magnaflow and found discount prices at Husker High Performance Exhaust at http://www.exhaustproslinc.com/abexpros.html. For a grand total of $276 at the door, I got two mirror finish stainless steel Street Series M-14832 mufflers and four stainless steel hanger brackets. At the local Walt''''s muffler shop it was a $140 job to fabricate a 2 1/2" cat back set up to the split junction of the exhaust at the axle. The mufflers sit perfectly, sound deep and mello without being irritating, and I get questions on them from rice rocket jockeys to old men in straw hats driving Cadillacs.

Strength:

Great Sound, Much better performance

Weakness:

For some reason mine makes a terrible smell?

Very well constructed, Nice high polished canister, great sound, improved exhaust flow tremendously b/c of the straight through design. Much louder during the low and mid rpm's, not quite as loud during the high rpms, but thats where the intake comes into play.

Looks great. Nice deep tone.

Weakness:

very loud and intrusive at midrange. 2200-3000 R.P.M.

Great looking product. It appears to be very well made.It has a great sound at idle and at highway speeds but is pretty loud around town. If you a nice tone and plenty of it. It might be worth a look.

Strength:

Improved low end torque and high end torgue. Car accelerates like a dream. Gives my four-cylinder engine a low end rumble while idling.

Weakness:

Very loud during open throttle acceleration.

I recommend this muffler for any Mazda protege' owners. It does improve performance 100%. I also have 2 1/2 piping from the catalyte converter to the muffler. Plus I am using a K&N drop in filter for increase air flow. You will be pleased!!

Model Reviewed: Street Series dual4-inch tip

Strength:

-deep tone
-VERY well constructed
-LOUD!

Weakness:

-loud enough to attract cops at WOT
-no bragging rights.. a lot of import people dont respect your exhaust unless you paid 400$+ from some japanese company

While i paid a total of 260 (muffler, plus stainless pipe from cat-back) for the street series on my 93 ecort, it makes a world of difference, especially compared to the old RedneckTech(tm) cherrybomb/chrome tip combo i had before.. the low end torque that had vaporized with the cherry bomb returned, i got more high end HP, plus it's a lot louder (but not particularly high pitched.. the cherry bomb was much more whiny). i'd recommend it to anyone with a small engine looking for a loud, lower sound than all the h-boys out there.. peace! The point off the overall rating is because of the propensity to attract cops at WOT... Other than that, it's impeccable

Smoother acceleration and nice deep tone

Weakness:

none

Gives a great deep tone. Smoother and better acceleration when floored. I spent a total of $350 for the muffler and the middle piping plus installation, which they did an excellent job in. I'd recommend this for those who want a little extra power with just the right sound not too loud yet noticable. Happy with the money spent
