HKS EVC Boost Controllers

HKS EVC Boost Controllers

DESCRIPTION

The EVC may be the ultimate in high-tech boost control. It uses a computer-regulated solenoid to accurately adjust turbo boost from the comfort of the passenger compartment. Select the maximum boost you want with the push of a button. Electronic control of the wastegate means faster turbo spool-up, too, since the wastegate stays completely closed until maximum boost is reached.

Model Reviewed: 92 Eagle Talon (=Mitsubishi Eclipse)

Strength:

small cockpit box (easy to find room for it)

Weakness:

$600 but it can't control boost creep.

Generally works ok. Easy to install. Seems to have a very high quality control valve. Oddly, doesn't correct for changes in barometric pressure. Real easy to adjust boost from inside the car... just turn a knob.

Similar Products Used:

Joe P manual boost controller (works just as well, can't control boost creep either) but is only $49.
