Strength:

I think the super chargers biggest strength is the quick response it has, you can be driving in fourth gear and dump on the gas and the car will take off like if you dropped to second gear. And if you are driving in fourth and you do drop to second gear you'll brake the tires loose like theres no tomarrow. Also the torque goes up alot not just the horse power, you can have four friends in the car with you while you drive, three in the back one passenger and your self five people total and the car will still be fast of corse not as fast as if you were alone but fast.

Weakness:

The biggest weakness the super charger has is heat, it heats up fast and heats up alot. And when it gets hot the car does'nt make the same power, I was able to see that on the dyno.

I have a 93 Honda civic hatch back with a B16, all motor I went 14.5 at palmdale on slicks. After installing the jackson racing super charger I went 12.7 on slicks and 13.3 on street tires at Fontana, which to me is a big difference. Also my car went from 182 wheel horse power to 220 wheel horse power, just with the super charger. Of corse I had to change my ecu program and I also had to run VP C14+ fuel because my compression was 11.2 to 1 (remember I was all motor first) but the car ran good on pump gas I just could'nt race on pump gas because it would lean out, but I could drive on pump gas ever day.

I have always like an all motor car but when you put a super charger on its a whole different ball game, its not the fastes thing out nor the best product but if you decide to go super charge the fun

Strength:

Alot of added power. The supercharger proved to be reliable and provide more power than expected. Contrary to most things you hear or read, the supercahrger seamed to perform alot better once the VTEC kicked in; The engine seemed to put out decent horse power at low RPM's but when the Cams changed over to VTEC at 5000 the car pulled extremely hard and let out a GROWL like it was about to take off!

Weakness:

Although this kit is supposed to perform well enough with stock components, I feel that the supercharger kit needs additional support to maximize its possibilities and its reliability; like the MAP controller, a Boost Timing controller, added fuel delivery and ignition system.

I bought a Jackson Racing kit from a Civic Si to retrofit onto my Del Sol VTEC. I didnt really have any problems installing it, especially since I had taken the the engine out of the car. After making a few custom parts and some modifications the supercharger fit nicely. Overall the supercharger performed excellent; however, I did buy a few extras to make sure it worked better. I used a full MSD ignition with a blaster coil, a MSD boost timing master, a cartech FMU and the Jackson Racing MAP controller. I never ran the supercharger prior to the installation of these items, so I dont have any comparison as to how much these items helped; other than from knowing what problems other people were having with their system. I also ran a Centerforce stage 1 clutch, a higher volume fuel pump, RC 310 injectors a AEM adjsutable fuel presure regulator, a oil cooler system and a FAL cooling fan. of these I would at least recomend a stronger clutch as I have heard of some people wasting the stock clutch.

Over all I really like the Jackson racing system. So much so that I bought a kit for my under powered CRV. Havent installed it yet, but the guy I bought it from said it made a tremendous difference.

Hard pull very smooth and seems reliable gas mileage doesn't change much a definite buy

Weakness:

a very weird noise, and really loud when you cross kingsoopers or a neighborhood, or those late night sneakbacks and your parents find out because your jrsc is screamin at the garage.

From a stock power of 145hp jrsc bumped me up to 198hp matching that of a TypeR a very good and smooth pull when you felt youv'e been wronged by a domestic or a bad boy import. jrsc will put you ahead of the game, especially when the other person stares at your tailights and you would laugh

Strength:

Excellent quality, good predictable power and torque throughout the entire RPM range.

Weakness:

Jackson Racing could have better technical support. Otherwise the kit delivers a solid 40% increment in HP. The other good point JR does not make any claims of wild HP or torque I respect that. Other manufacturers will promise the world and fall short. The one clear weakness is that the kit can not be intercooled.

The Jackson Racing supercharger was a good investment for my car. It provides smooth linear power. I no longer need to downshift to pass slower vehicles. The quality is fantastic and it looks like it belongs in the engine bay. The kit will not give anyone 13 second time slips but it will provide a spirited sporty feel to any Focus enthusiast. I have had no issues with the kit and my car is running very strong. At this time the current offering will give about a 40% improvement over stock and with the addition of a few modifications the car will be closer to 160 WHP and 135 Ft. Lbs of torque. This power is good enough for high 14 second time slips at around 90 MPH. Jackson Racing is developing a new boost upgrade that will give a max of 7 PSI for a reliable 180 WHP.

Eating Domestic for lunch. High speed acceleration. Loud BOV sound. NO INTERCOOLER NEEDED NO PISTONS NEEDED NO RODS NEEDED NO LAG!

Weakness:

NONE

These jackson racing super chargers are the way to go. no need for rippin up the block to replace the pistons and rods and having to sell your kidney to pay for it like turbo's. the jrsc does not spool up and create pressure on these components just raw hp and NO LAG ANYWHERE ACCROSS THE POWER BAND! I instantly felt a difference in power at high speeds especially. JRSC 5 Stars!!!!!!!!!

Awesome power and torque. Can be upgraded with proper performance parts. More safe and reliable than turbo.

Weakness:

Warranty/Repair work not done in a professional manner. Numerous complaints heard about same thing from others. Don't be fooled into thinking that you can just buy the SC and be done. You'll probably find that you need to get the boost controller or the map controller to protect your motor from detonation.

I purchased this unit already installed when I bought the car about a year ago. After about 4 months I began to notice a roaring noise at idle. I took it to my mechanic who is the best around here when it comes to Honda racing or performance. It turns out the pulley bearing was bad because the nuckle head who installed it tightened the pulley belt too tight. We sent the unit off to Moss Motors who does all work for JR Superchargers. After paying $600.00 to have the main bearing replaced it was sent back without being touched. We sent it back again and they retuned a unit that was not even mine. They sent me a unit for an Intergra GSR. Although it would fit, the unit performed worse than the first. It put out no boost, my car detonated and my check engine light stayed on. Enough with them. We sent it straight to Eaton after numerouse complaints. From start to finish I was down about 3 months! Eaton did come through for me. They sent me a unit that was better than the original and better than in stock form. I now have a rebuilt, like new unit with a 3" pulley putting out around 12 PSI. I did have to geta JR boost timing control unit though because of so much boost. It would always detonate if I did not. I still consider this a mistake even by Eaton but I will settle for this because my car has so much more power. I have around 240hp at the wheels. The other mods which I recommend if you plan to run a smaller diameter pulley are: colder spark plugs from JR, JR Thermostat, a 3" Cat, Redline Water Wetter addative, a Kamikaze Header with the 2.5 collector, a 3" Cat, a Thermal R&D 3" cat back system, RC 310 injectors, a stronger clutch like ACT or Clutch Masters. If you do plan to get JR supercharger know this. They are very good if you get a good unit. What I mean by this is that there is about a 40% chance that your unit will have problems or have some sort of abnormal noise. This was told to me by my mechanic. The warranty support is less than satisfactoy to. Probably because Moss Motors specializes in Mazda. If you can avoid it don't buy one used unless you know for sure that it has never had problems. They perform excellent otherwise. Oh and don't tink that you can go beyond 12 psi with out serious modification to the unit itself. It can only handle 15000 rpm in its stock form.

TORQUE! Looks nice in the engine bay. Wont require the maintenance of a turbo. Pulls hard and lights the tires up. Sounds wicked at WOT.

Weakness:

Instructions are too vague, need better diagrams. Requires some modification of a cold air intake system, since the throttle body will sit differently. Will need to drop loot for a clutch and possibly even a LSD.

I got my JRSC for 1700 bucks from a buddy of mine. He only had it for 2 months. He also threw in an AEM FPR and STR Fuel Rail. The installation took me forever..a whole weekend. Mostly because the INSTRUCTIONS BLOW. I mean, it pretty much says, "step 1, remove old stuff...step 2, install supercharger". Pretty vague. As for the use...so far, its AWESOME. So much more torque its not funny. I also have an AEM CAI, DC 4-2-1 Headers, and Thermal RD Exhaust with a straight pipe, and the performance is really amazing. It feels like a whole different car. THe sound when you really punch it is wicked. Especially when you waste some Mustang.

Weakness:

The cost really does hurt, and the intructions don''t help much, alot more pictures would be helpful.

This is a very great product,my hatchback feels like a DOHC v-tec,but with power in lower RPM ranges. I feel like I got my moneys worth with this product. I just got my Civic dyno this weekend and with a AEM cold air intake, and a Greddy SP exhaust system on this supercharged Civic I produced 145HP at wheels and 120 of torque on 5 Lbs. of boost. This civic is non-vtec. Will update later when I add a DC sports 4-1 header, adjustable cam gear, and a Hondata stage 3 computer upgrade.
