Model Reviewed: Impreza Gt turbo my99

Strength:

T04/3e hybrid is the best combination for my car. Boost starts from 2900rpms superpowerfull until 7000rpms. 12.59-70 1/4 mile times repeatedly and 4.4 0-60mph. 1.4 bar of boost.(20.58 lbs). Equipped also with Cuzco front mounted intercooler, Apexi super AFC, Hks evc4, Greedy 8 spark plugs, Hks super filter, HKS external wastegate .72, Apexi ITC, HKS turbo timer, And of course AV Gasoline

Weakness:

No weakeneses at this time, but probably will see some shaft and/or bushing weakneses.

Price paid was $1250.00. I would seriously recomend it for the 2001 impreza owners who want to kick but now in the US. Also for current Impreza owners you'll see this is an excellent combination for bottom end and top end speed 260 kph sound good. Better upgrade brakes...
Also a good choice for Exclipses, Vtec engines, sorry not for Rx-7's.

after trying Greddy td60-20g, but not better. Heard some good things about Australia's AVO Turbos, far better than vf-22 and vf-23 STI turbos.

Model Reviewed: 2.0 DOHC cosworth

Strength:

For its size (TO4E compressor and .63 ex housing) it spin up surprisingly quicky. Quality is awesome. Have had it over 30 psi, and runs 26 psi all day. No signs of oil in the intake, and very little shaft play. Positive boost starts at 3400 rpm.

Weakness:

Would like to try a ball bearing design (Turbonetics or Garrett) to see if can reduce spool up time. Absolutely imperative to use an external wastegate. (good but expensive) Old desgin compared to Garrett Ballistic or HKS GT turbos.

Recommended, but watch out for the new Garrett and HKS ballbearing turbos.

Similar Products Used:

Turboboost (UK) T35/T3 hi-flow hybrid: This is a very poor product indeed. Gap between compressor blade and housing is ENORMOUS (about 2mm!) and compressor blade had metal "flashing". Weak top end. Spool up time is only OK for this size of turbo. (about 3,500)
