I have had AMFAM for 3 years, and in those 3 years I have had absolutely NO problems. My agent has been courteous, well informed, and has even bought me lunch when someone broke into my home.

No weaknesses. The adjustor and agent were both on the ball and answered every question I had.

This is far and away the BEST insurance company I have had or ha to deal with in regards to claims, service and cost. I've read a lot of the reviews on this site and cannot believe the issues everyone is having. Maybe it's the agents or DM's that you all are dealing with you should be upset with. Could be quite possibly that they are "skimming" off the top to line their pockets. But as for the company itself....TOP NOTCH!!! Couldn't have asked for a better agent or company to insure my home, autos and life with.

I was hit by a lady who clearly wasn't paying attention. She admitted fault and gave me all her information and in return, only took my cell phone number. When American Family sent an adjuster to look at my car, he mentioned that "any idiot could tell she hit you." He said that american Family was at fault and that they would be paying for my car. When I talked to the agent handling the claim, she told me that there was no proof of who hit who and she was denying the claim. American Family is a cheap company that charges too much for coverage!

We invested over $6,000 with American Family something we could borrow against. Well we are in dire straights at the moment and figured we would borrow some money against our investments so we could keep our house. They Closed the account and basically kept all our money and whatever interest it had made! We would NOT recommend AMFAM at all. Totally disgusted.

We also had insured our vehicles through them to which cost us almost $500 a month. Things got tight for us so we cancelled, now we pay less than $200 a month for the same coverage!

My agent Brad Albert and Tracy in the front office is wonderful. Very attentive to my needs. Brad let me know the pros and cons to the policy I wanted. And the price was mind blowing. What I was paying for just auto insurance w/ SF, I am now getting auto and renters insurance for 21 dollars cheaper.

I was with state farm and every month I got different amounts withdrawn from my account. Every person I would talk at the office didn't have matching prices or stories when all they had to do was look in the system at my policy.

Auto was in excelent condition until a American Family Insured Backed into my vwehicle.

AmFam will only use used or rebuilt parts on all vehicles they insure or thier insured hit.
Adjust claimed they warrenty parts in brochure they left that is only for their customers.

Had a real round and round with the claims peoepl and the adjuster, what a piece of work this company are.
Claimed that they would be improving my vehicle by putting on new parts as aposed to used part.
Infomred them auto was fine until your insured struck the vehicle.
When inquired if agents inform new customers that they only use used parts got nothing but dead air.
Will be informing anyone who will listen this is a bad comapny.

American Family Insurance only strenghts are not paying claims..they are strong in this area

My home was broken into on Dec. 13, 2009. I lost any and everything of value. American Family Insurance pretended to be so on point. After several calls to the claims adjuster Jennifer Shluess, no return calls was ever made back. Then they finally do call do the phone interview make you believe that all is well. I get a call then from some guy in Texas offering to provide replacement items instead of cutting a check (after I've paid 3yrs into this Home Owner policy and had them previously on another home where a claim was never filed in 9yrs). I tell the guy no, afraid of recieving refurbished stuff, I want my check. Today is now March 16, 2010 still no settlement of claim. They tell me the claim is closed until I provide receipts or some form of proof of documention showing I had the items on the claim. Who the hell has receipts or manuals for items purchased in 2007 and this is 2009-2010. So basically they called me a liar telling me none of these things were in my home when clearly my front double-doors still has the damage of the break-in visible in the panels. This is the worst insurance company ever. My policy is up in June 2009 never again. I will also be reporting and bad mouthing them on every forum I come across because its not fair. Insurance companies make all this money from money paid in and no claims ever filed. Then when something does happen all these years ya think you're covered only to find out the ones you've paid your money to has decided naw, we're not paying!!! Yea really!! Know that God see's all and the people behind the little people who are running these boggish establishments are going to have to give an account. You've been warned..

Company has very week workforce as their staff doesn't need any educational background. They hire people with no education but by race. For any position they don't need education ( I am really surprised by this). I think this is the only company on the planet that don't recognize education.

Ok here it is I have had home owners insurance with them for 5 years never been late and payment is always 15 days early Just recently my roof in my house has started leaking so I call my insurance agent and i make a claim, only one problem they will fix the inside but not the roof that is the main problem, run dont want get another insurance company fast...

This agent did not properly explain the auto policy or options available. I called to talk with him about he was rude and yelled at me. He kept cutting me off and I cannot believe such poor customer service. I could get better service from yellow key.
