No agent, but it really isn't a big deal. Also, for a while there my rates kept going up even though I have a spotless driving record. Seem to have leveled off.

Started with GEICO in 94 because they would insure my home also even after Andrew. I recently had my Explorer stolen so I had to put in a claim. They took the information, explained the process completely and after three weeks of not finding the truck a check was in my hands. They gave me a fair value for the truck, and I am now driving a new one. No complaints and my rates did not go up. Give them a look.

No personal service, so you have to take good notes. The experience of the operator can DRAMATICLY change the cost of a quote, so make sure they're reading the screen right. I've called a lot.

I've got a 97 Ford F150 XLT msrp $27,000 and a 1996 Mazda 626 ES msrp $24,000 and for full coverage 100/300 and a $500 deductable my annual premium is $1411.00 (I'm also 29, my wife is 26, good drivers, yada yada)
I am a serious scrounge hound when it comes to things I pay out every month, and after an exhaustive preliminary search and periodic check Geico remains the cheapest by a long long way. Last winter my sister, who also has these guys, got rear-ended another driver and her rates shot up. But even then Geico remained lower; she checked around. Car was a total loss, and they had a check to her in five working days after the accident. They're cheap here, big time. Just don't get in an accident, but that's good advice anyway.

i called for a quote and they told me it would be $2840.00 for a six month policy for two cars with same coverage i have now. but i only pay 3277.00 a year through progressive. thats a increase of 2,403.00 a year. how would i save 15% with them..... bad company. false advertising.

would not recommend them.

This company is a joke. I called for a quote, they quoted me $1300/6 months, I currently pay $700 with Allstate for full coverage. Also, the people answering phones do not have extensions, so it's impossible to talk to the same person.

There are a lot better alternatives. Allstate has competitive prices and very good customer service.

-Wait! i said, I pay $590 for six months for the same coverage where i am at right now.. This cant be right!
-He replied in a rude voice "thats not possible"

(He ended up yelling and directly calling me a lier, then hung up on me) I never in the conversation raised my voice at him or was rude, just shocked!) I called back to report him and got the same attitude from another rep. I have never been treated like that in my life by someone in custumor service.

I have a flawless driving record for the 3 years that iv beed driving, im 19 now. It must be that they dont want to insure young drivers?? Or just lose custumers??

They quoted me a price on the phone... sounded good compared to others so I agreed. The paperwork came to me 1 week later. The rate WAS RAISED BY $400 DOLLARS!!!!

This company is terrible. I called about that rate change. Twice. Both times the agent said, "Yeah, I see that the policy was changed, but I'm not sure why." Needless to say I went with a new company within days. One with a better reputation. Spread the word... GEICO = Bad idea!!!! Do I have to give them one star?

$5,200 comes out to $866 a month! WHATS UP WITH THAT?? iv only had 1 wreck. Other than that my record is clean. I pay $125 a month where im at now and even that is high.

A freind of mine was with them. a few weeks after he joined they raised his polocy $125 after it was already paid for the whole term. he got a letter saying he would be cancled if it wasnt in within a sertain date (couple weeks) he didnt even make a claim or anything. We both leard from that how geico can and will push the legal limit on polocies. id hate to immagine what they would do on the service when you need them.

The remote non intrapersonal concept. You cannot see the rep you are talking to. I took a quote from these guys about a month ago just as a comparison, I am a 20 yr old driver w/ a perfect record.

The quote they gave me was outregeous it was around $1080-6mo while my current rate is $640-6mo. I don't recomend

I shopped around, and found their rates comparable (I'm in my 30's and have a good driving record) to other companies. Because I work pretty long hours, it's nice to have a 24 hour call center to handle changes, answer questions, etc. I don't really have any complaints about the service.

Great customer service and rates.

I've been with Geico for over 10 years with little to complain. In the past, I had an accident and had no problems with my claim. My car was also hit while it was parked in a lot. Again, the claim was resolved expeditiously. However, this time, I had to drive the car to a satellite office for an adjuster to assess the minor damage. Thank goodness the office is only 15 minutes from my home.

I recently acquired a 2000 Saab 9-3SE Convertible and decided to compare rates. Progressive quoted me a rate over $3,300 while Geico quoted a rate of $1,400 (same coverage on both quotes).

The customer service reps are very attentive and pleasant. They were also helpful when I placed my claims. I'm not sure if ANY company can be rated 5 stars but this comes close!
