Strength:

Nearly impenetrable 3 ply sidewall, and longevity.

Weakness:

Loads up in sticky mud, and a bit hard on the highway...you can't have it all. BFG is really running the price up now that everyone has found my tire!

I have run with these tires for the better part of 15 years. Nothing can touch them with respect to function, durability, and value. Although Goodyear has made a recent atempt to join the rank of a production All terrain tire with a 3 ply sidewall, there is no real comparison to these tires. Properly rotated, I get a SOLID 55K miles per set with BFG ATs. It's a shame that they are not standard equipment on all 4 WD vehicles. My first stop with any new truck is to the tire store to peel off the Goodyears which I know from experience will pop in about 400 miles of offroad use.

The tires become SLICK VERY fast in mud. They dont clean very well either.

These tires are good for the on road tires. They arent very good when you get in too slick mud.

Strength:

These tires are very aggressive for an All-Terrian tire. Plus they handle well and look awesome. I have about 3k miles on mine right now and i notice hardly any tread loss. Tho any tread loss I may have is due to me smokin them a few times.

Weakness:

There are no weaknesses in these tires.

I have had these tires (31/75/R16's) for a couple of months now and they are great. I havent really gotten to take them off-road yet but they do pretty good on wet pavement. I dont see how any of you could say that these tires are noisy, they are very quite. Let me tell you, you havent heard noisy until you get a set of SuperSwamper Thornbirds.

I had a set of 30/75/r16 Firestone Steelex All-Terrains. I got stuck so easy in these things. The BFG's are much better

These tires are awesome. All my friends laughed when I told them I was going mudding in my s-2000, but hell I showed them. They handle great on the rocks and snow as well. Definitely the best tire for an S-2000.

Great Offroad Looks Performance Grip pavement even on wet roads Next tires, MTs Sound Great when you peelout, so loud :)

Weakness:

White lettering fades off quickly if you drive in sand. Not that bad though.

GREAT TIRE!!! Blow my stock ones away. I have recieved my compliments because when they are greased up they look GREAT. These tires are awesome offroad, I had lots of fun with them in the sand dunes. They are not even loud on road, I''ve heard much worst.

Model Reviewed: BFGoodrich A/T T/A KO

Strength:

Long treadwear. I expect about 90K before I replace them. Can''t be beat in Deep Snow. Have held up really well on rough Michigan potholed roads. No broken sidewalls or punctures. Most durable tire I have ever owned. I will be putting another set of these tires on my Ford this fall. The stengths greatly overpower the weaknesses.

Weakness:

Stiff Sidewalls can over power a lightweight short wheelbase vehicle causing a significant loss to high speed handling. I also had a set on a 00 Model Ram 2500, the stiff sidewall didn''t affect the handling of the heavy truck. My 2dr Explorer wasn''t made for performance handling anyway, so no big deal. A slight loss in braking on wet pavement over regular road tires. The Long Trail T/A would probably be a better choice for anyone who desires on-road performance.

I purchased four of the BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO for my 91 Ford Explorer in Nov. 99. Size 31x10.50R15. I had them installed on my Explorer at 247,000 miles in Nov 99. I now have 297,000 miles and have about 50% usable treadlife left. I will probably replace in Nov 02 with a new set of four BFGoodrich All Terain T/A KO.

Strength:

They stick to anything

Weakness:

These are some damn good tires, and anyone who thinks they are too noisy on the road shouldn''t have them anyways, cause If you can hear these tires over your truck, then you have no use for them on your, what you call a truck! These tires are made for trucks and trucks should be big mean and loud...as well as your tires. If you want a quite ride, buy a car or some street tires!
