Strength:

Good street traction, good driveability.

Weakness:

Wears very quickly, very dangerous in the rain.

They are good tires for traction but you might be beter off with the Nitto drag tires, probably bite about the same but the Nitto's wear better and are better in the rain. If you live where it rains often, I would go for the Nitto's.

Similar Products Used:

Hoosier Quick Time Pro's- The Hoosiers stick much better but driveability suffers.

Strength:

Good street handling and ride quality, not spongy like a bias-ply. Great traction at the dragstrip, very stable at the top of the track.

Weakness:

Wear out quickly and become only good for track use (no tread)

I would definetely recomend them. My car went 12.55 at 106mph with the drag radials. My 60 foot time was 1.74, dead hook! And this is in a 4000 lb 396 Chevelle. Best time with slicks was 12.73 at 105 and 60 foot was 1.79. Also, my friends car runs low 11's and he ran his fastest pass of the day on his drag radials. They work best on my car with 16psi and a nice dry burnout, DON'T ROLL THROUGH THE WATER BOX! I spun every time out of the hole when I went through the water box first. I think they are superior to slicks because I drive 60 miles to the track on them, race all day and then drive 60 miles home without changing my tires. You only need slicks if your going really fast, like mid 10's or better. Other then that, get the drag radials.

Similar Products Used:

Goodyear slicks, I went faster at the track on the Drag Radials then on real slicks. Also the drag radials are a much more stable ride through the traps, as with a slick the car sways alot over 100mph, Drag Radials are cheaper, and have very good street manners.

Strength:

Great street traction. Also, very good at the drag strip for stock classes.
Fairly priced for the sizes available. Nice ride. Look great.

Weakness:

Can't get a lot of miles on them. Not very good if you get caught in the rain.

Highly recommended. I found the best performance on the street with real rubber tubes and 20lbs (hot) air-pressure. It's a pleasure to drive with full surround radials. (all 4-positions) I have Z-rated Comp T/A tires in the front. I have used these tires at the track as well. I bought mine direct from Team T/A quite a while back, and paid $ 130.00 per tire (P275/50R15) and they delivered them directly to my home. My GN runs 11.70's at the track on these "stock" tires. I would only suggest these tires for street cars not driven in the rain, or other bad element weather.

M & H Racemasters, (bias ply) not a good ride, can't be combined with radial fronts. Priced almost the same. Drag radial a better deal.

DECENT TRACTION

WONT HANDLE A BIG BLOCK ON THE BOTTLE.

VEHICLES THAT WANT GOOD TRACTION AND HANDLING.

Great bite on the street!

Weakness:

awful on the track, better than a reg. radial, but dont bring these tires expecting to do some serious launches. The also wear down very quick.

Good tires for a weekend warrior car, Dont use them as everyday drivers, your just wasting your money. If you want a serious race tire for the track go with some real slicks or a non radial style like hoosier or mickey T.

Strength:

Drive nice on the street. They are great for the street driven Hot Rod.
I will leave them on for street use.

Weakness:

Serious tire spin at the track. I was running about 17-18 lbs pressure.
I'm sure there are better pure race tires out there.

They drive nice on the street, I don't notice too much difference than
the Radial T/As I had on it as far as ride quality.
On the strip....the 481 cu.in. BBC just overpowers them.
I've only run them at the track once so far and my
60 foot time was awful 2.2. They are better than the Radial T/As for
traction but I'm thinking about some real race tires for this car on
the track.

Strength:

Ride, stability, NO TUBES!

Weakness:

No TRACTION, TRACTION, TRACTION in a higher horsepower vehicle or with a mid horsepower car with a stick.

Nice ride on the street, hook up better than a regular radial t/a Very stable at high speeds.
Not worthy on the track in a high horsepower car. My 418 stroker blazes the drag radials at the track. They actually bite better on the street.
Overall wear is average and to be expected. This is a great street tire if your looking for traction. I would only recommend this tire in a mild to mid horespower vehicle if planning to use on the strip. Ride quality and stability is second to none when comparing to all the other D.O.T. slicks.

Micky T street drag GREAT traction but useless on the street and lacks stability.
