Strength:

I had these on my 94 Galant ES. I felt they were good tires
in the summer. I recently lowered my car and began taking some turns
aggressively. I can say confidently that they are good performance tires
in the dry, preferably the summer.

Weakness:

They suck incredibly in the winter and are only so-so in the wet. This is unlike other high performance all season tires such as Eagle RSA's.

They were cheap (about 50 bones). I liked them, but wouldnt get them again. The snow traction is terrible, I got stuck in my driveway several times.

Strength:

Good performance for price.

Weakness:

Not quite as sticky on lighter car. Wet traction is so-so. Snow was alright.

On my 1984 Volvo 244 GL these things stuck like crazy. I could fly around corners without a squeal or slide. On my VW Jetta they were not nearly as good. They squealed and slid. They gave their traction away gradually, which was a plus, but not near as good as the Volvo. Both were same width and height, only rim size differed (15 on volvo, 14 on Jetta) Looking for something else for my integra.

Model Reviewed: Bridgestone Potenzas RE930

Strength:

I have them on my 95 Jetta GL automatic 2.0. They were excellent in the florida rains.Excellent cornering. Good ride, and excellent braking. Weare now above the Mason Dixon Line in the snow belt and my wife drove my car all winter she had no complaints. Her comments are that the tires handled well in the snow and she felt secure the same tires in the snow this winter, they handled and gripped better than the stock touring tires on my 98 Jetta. I wil be changing to 930 on the 98 very soon

Weakness:

They squeal a bit when turning slowly on asphalt

I padi 320 in Florida. The new ones should coost me around 304

Strength:

very good in dry condition, between good and average in wet situation, good price, get more mileage than expected.

Weakness:

average in snow, a bit noisy but not bad, not as good as the previous hp-41 series.

I currently have about 60,000 miles on this set of tires. I still have a decent amount of groove left on them that should get me along until this or summer. Of course, I rotate and balance them quite often. My alignment is also within spec. little rolling resistance. Howere they don't give that secure feeling as the previous hp-41 series which Bridgestone discontinued. I have to say, I get my money worth since I paid about $280 over three years ago for them. However, I am looking for something better for my 95 Maxima SE. For this tire, it is good and recommended for the price/performance.

Model Reviewed: 1994 Saturn SC2

Strength:

Quiet riding high performance tire. Good grip in the dry, good in the wet, and better than expected in light to moderate snow. But what really sets this tire apart from other high performance tires is their predictability. These tires communnicate what is happening down at the contact patch better than any tire I have ever used.

Weakness:

No glaring weaknesses. Of course they don't have ultimate grip, and they won't ride as quiet as a touring tire, but that is to be expected.

Paid $250 for a set of 4 via mail order. Excellent tires that I would recommend to anyone looking for a high performance all season tire.

Strength:

Supurb on dry pavement. Low cost. Predictable. Quieter than the stock Michelin's.

Weakness:

All four tires have needed air every 1-2 months. They loose 10-15LBS in this time. Not good in rain.

Good tire, Very good on dry pavement. Not so impressed on wet pavement. In two close calls (driver pulling put and sheet of plywood blown out of pickup) These tires saved my car from damage. I was on three wheels in one encounter. The tires grip dry pavement. Not much wear in 15K miles.

I think the Michelin XGT-H4 was better all around, not as good on dry though.
