DESCRIPTION

The Dunlop Radial Rover RT is a maximum traction tire designed for the rigors of commercial use. Strength:

GREAT in the mud and snow. Good in the rain. Relatively quiet on the dry pavement.

Weakness:

To me there are none!

I am in construction and do about 35K miles a year on the highway. I was so pleased with these tires that I am now on my second set of Radial Rover RT’s.

The first set I had lasted OVER 80,000 miles. These tires do not make very much noise on the pavement as far as truck tires are concerned. The first time these tires really impressed me was on a job site that had a couple inches of mud covered by 5 inches of snow. I had to go up some major hills and down the other side. Traction was never a problem! In the rain I have had no trouble with hydroplaning. The aggressive tread takes care of it all.

I highly recommend these tires to anyone that may encounter mud or snow in their daily routine and needs to have the assurance that you’ll get where you are going.

Firestone's that came as OEM on the truck. I replaced these tires before they wore out because of their performance in the mud and snow.

Model Reviewed: Dunlop Radial Rover AT

Strength:

Everything. The All Terrain (AT) version has a less aggressive tread than the RT, but more so than the highly rated AS for better snow and wet traction. The AT is surprisingly quiet on highway compared to the Firestone Wilderness AT. Ice and light snow proved no problem.

Weakness:

Nothing, although salesman indicated less wear than the rated 60k miles.

Superior performance at reasonable price (when on sale anyway). Great for highway, trail and limited off-road treks. For all around use in all seasons, these are the best I have used. They drive every bit as well as the highly touted Michelins on a similar family vehicle, at slightly better price.

Strength:

Excellent off-road biased tire.
Superb in Mud and snow
Reasonably quiet and predictable when driven hard on paved mountain roads
Best-Priced and most versitile of the "extreme" off-road tires.

Weakness:

Nothing, it exceeded my expectations as a "truck" tire for my daily driver.

Paid $360/set from The Tire Rack. Highly recommended for those who off-road their vehicles more than 20% of the time

Similar Products Used:

Equals the BFG Mud Terrain in mud, but is way better on both pavement and snow.
