I put these tires on my 1987 Corvette. They grip the road too well, which sounds good but speed and acceleration is very poor with these tires. On the other side, they handle very well in all kinds of climate and will prevent you from loosing control of your car when driving agressively.

I would rather a tire that will handle as well as these but without the loss of speed and performance.

Strength:

I like to push these tires somewhat hard in off ramp and entrance and they handle pretty damn well with little squeal noise. wet traction feels nice and confident, hardly and sign of any ill effects at high speed on wet interstate roads.Winter traction is good in powder snow but ice is not that good. For the money it's the best buy for a z rated tire, i plan on another purchase when they wear.

Weakness:

easy to spin under hard power.
ice traction not too good.

for the money this is the way to go no doubt!!!!

handle better than the OE Goodyear Eagle VR.

Strength:

Diffently the money, its a high performance look at a great price. Nice For those corners and the rain.

Weakness:

The temp climb ant the mileage. Your out of rubber before you can heat them up. 40k just does not do it at the track.

If money is a problem then you have no worries about these tires. Very popular tires here in upstate Ny. Theses tires dont get many chances to heat up to there full potential but they sure do the job for those day to day street racers. Futura which is also a brand made buy cooper
hold up nicely to for those mostly stock Birds and ponys. They grip well once at good temp but the cool real fast. I loved these tires on my dakota which is running on supercharged 6 cyl. They held nicely for 100 dolor tire and make me come back. On the hand a car with much much more power has a problem with eating these tires. They have a bad grip which i feel is do to the tread design. But for all those stock guys and girls its a good ride for the money.

Strength:

Initially, a good looking tire which *appeared* to be of good quality.

Weakness:

Extremely diminished treadwear. Tires don't last under normal driving conditions.

These tires were down to the steel radial belts after 13,000 miles!!! Alignment on the vehicle was perfect. Pep Boys said that, although the tires were rated to 40K miles (treadwear), no one could expect to get even half of that in the real world (?????).

After extensive discussion with their regional reps, they replaced the tires at no charge -- but told me that there would be no warranty on the replacements.

Cooper Cobras -- the Coopers are great, last a long time. Odd, because I understand Cooper makes these Futuras!?

Strength:

Good cornering traction and great for accelerating hard. Wet traction is also pretty decent.

Weakness:

Could use a slightly stronger sidewall

This tire is pretty good. Grips good in the rain, corners nicely and is very stable at high speeds. The price is also very good. I abuse this tire alot and it can really take the punishment. Its lasted me for a decent amount of time. I'm sure if I drove less agressively, the tires would still have plenty of tread left on them. If you are a good driver, then these tires will not disapoint you. Every tire has its limits, and these tires let you know when you are approaching that limit unlike some tires that grip and then suddenly you loose control without warning.

I used many tires, the Futuras I place in my "good" catagory. I used to have Dunlops before which I place in my "bad catagory"
