Strength:

Excellent traction all the time. Street racing or hard corning no problem for these tires. Excellent ride. Best all around tire(street or moderate race)

Weakness:

Longevity definately questionable, but great handling tires dont ever last long!

These are by far the best street performing tires I've ever owned. They've done great for me at moderate speeds and in the rain. These tires also provided a smooth ride@215/45/15 size. I also found that these tires had better traction at the dragstrip than most drag radials.(yes, even the Nitto 555R)Most drag radials still didnt rid me of wheel hop, which tells me that the compound used in the t1/s is much better and softer than d/r. I only found the true slicks and the M/T DOT street slick to be better than the t1/s.

Strength:

GRIP! wet and dry (in that order), Quiet!, Comfortable Ride!, Quality Construction.

Weakness:

Snow performance is even acceptable. I would have to say price, but you get what you pay for with these.

I've got about 10,000 miles on these now. Easily the best tires I have ever owned. They are wearing very well (25% down). Quiet, comfortable, tremendous grip in dry and wet. A "real world" tire. 80mph in the rain is no problem with these on the car. If your looking for a street/track tire this may not be it. The tread will chunk and the side wall is a bit soft. I bought these with the intention of buying a seperate set of snow tires. Well lazyness and a lack of $ resulted in my not getting the snows before winter. Well I have been shocked at how well these tires have handled the snow. They easily blow away the factory XGT+4's that came on my car. Now they are not on the same level of snow tires or even good all season tires, but I'd take these over your typical budget all season tires anyday. This is amazing for a tire that offers such good dry weather performance! The tracks they leave in snow look cool!

Strength:

Looks, low noise, very comfortable ride, great grip, low price

Weakness:

Squeek a bit at corners for the first 1,000 klm

I was sceptical. I read a 1,000 reviews and finally I chose to install the T1/S. I made the best decision!!! The tires look great and feel even better! They were also EUR 120 cheaper than the Michelin Exalto's. They are very quiet, they have great grip in both dry and wet and the cornering speeds I get with the Toyos are higher than my expectations! The rim protector is also a must!

Strength:

Quiet, good tracking - even under hard cornering in the wet! - and excellent stopping grip.

Weakness:

None... so far! ;>

This is a great, grippy tyre which inspires erious confidence on ALL surfaces - wet, dry and gravelly ones! - the car simply drivs like it's on rails! I am driving a 2001 AUDI A4 1.8T QMS with Sport Suspension and the performance was already superlative...this product has taken me to the higher level of roadholding.

The car came equipped with Dunlop SP5000s and these were good but nowhere in the Toyos' class.

extremely good dry traction, don't slide the rear when being powershifted. (hint hint) get them.

Weakness:

well there is the sacrifice of wet traction. however, better than any "american" tire company.

I do'n have the t1-s, but I did put the fx4's on my 1996 cobra. Ah yeah, they are a hellof alot better than BFG's. No more ass sliding. I can't wait to get suspension mods now. I can do anything with these tires. They just friggin' hook.

Strength:

LOTS of grip Great value for a high-performance tire. Comes in 15" sizes (not many high-perf tires do, these days!). Good in the rain. Rim protector.

Weakness:

Doesn''t stand up to lots of track use. Become noisy with age.

Bought these in the stock 195/55/15 (front) and 215/50/15 (rear) sizes to replace the Dunlop SP-8000s, which had been good. I have been very impressed with the T1-Ss over-all. Lots of grip, they don''t squeal, they look good, the rim protectors are a nice bonus. They have been surprisingly good in the rain, even as the tread has worn down. I wish the sidewalls were a little stiffer for quicker turn-in. I''ve gotten about 20k km out of the rears, and they''re down to the wear tabs now (normal for the MR2 on performance tires). The fronts still have plenty of tread. Complaint: On a lapping day at the track, these tires melted too easily. They looked like overcooked cheese-pizzas by the end of the day. It took weeks of normal driving to wear the tread smooth again. Another complaint: the rears have become very noisy as they wear down, can''t explain exactly why.

Strength:

Great grip, handling and ride - superior in all areas to Eagle GT II''s. Rim protectors are an added bonus. Sexy tread pattern

Weakness:

Side walls not quite as flash looking as the Dunlops and Michelins

For my 93 Prelude Si I thought I''d go up market on the crappy Eagle GT II''s some idiot had shod on my car when bought 3 year''s old used. I had to wait 40K miles to kill these H rated rollers which at least gave good wear rate. As soon as I fitted the very sexy TS-1''s the steering and handling became pin point sharp compared to the Eagles. I can now throw the car into a corner with literally reckless abandonment and I’m more likely to crap my kacks before this thing goes off track. These tires seem to vacuum stick to wet or dry tarmac like a crazed banshee riding a roller coaster. Initial turn in gives a slight ''mushed in'' feel but still very secure as it settles on its haunches. Haven’t tried on snow but I’m guessing they’ll be no worse than the Eagles which were mediocre in the few Denver snow dumps I experienced. It was a toss up between these and the cheaper Dunlop SP5000 which I’m curious to try next time. I think the TS-1’s set the bench mark for now compared to the others I’ve tried so far. I''ll be very happy to get 30K miles out of them with this much performance. Easily better value than any similar speced Michelins.
