Great way to lower your car...Much improved handling...Smooth ride for the most part...(aside from the normal bouncing)

Weakness:

YOU MUST BUY NEW SHOCKS TO HELP THE SMOOTHNESS OF THE RIDE, AND THE LOWERING...

Great set of coilovers!!! I see bad reviews on SKUNK2 coilovers here and their, but I wonder if they went out to buy aftermarket shocks like your supposed to with any type of coilover kit...I use the SKUNK2 coilovers with KYB GRS-2 shocks...Great ride, smooth, a little bouncy but thats normal, and lowered my car beautifully...

car looks cool dropped...thats it.

Weakness:

awful ride, balancing becomes a monthly chore, pretty much the whole idea of adjustable coilovers is a joke.

looks really good dropped but of course the ride is awful..and when i say awful i mean its almost unbearable. i am selling my car and i am completely tired of it. never again will i buy some cheap coilovers like skunk 2 for my car..i made a huge mistake. my advice is to invest in shocks that arent cheap. if they cost 1,000 dollars then there is a reason for that.

Strength:

Nice & stiff, good performance

Weakness:

Didn't come with shock boot and the bumpstops need to be cut, none of which was specified at all. I HATE adjusting coilovers. I've had to readjust them several times in 2 years. I much rather buy something preadjusted although coilovers overcome rear spring sagging.

In parallel with Tokiko HP shocks. This system is nice and stiff. Initial break in was rough but once broken in it makes your car take turns like a go cart. My HPs make it overly stiff over bumps but Excellent performance through turns were all skunk2 performance there.

the stiffness lets me do turns at 50+mph

none so far

these coilovers are stiff. never had any problems with them. my car was more bouncy and i can feel everything on the road but thats how it is with any suspension set up over stock. get some performance tires and youre ready to rock.

Strength:

adjustable ride height to get rid of wheel gap without guessing when buying normal lowering springs. dual locking perch to make sure your ride doesn't get jacked up (that's a plus over the ground control coilovers)

Weakness:

bounciness, but that's expected. the girls won't notice if you don't tell them about it. the price is too much. at that price it might as well include a damper kit. although, it is high quality, i'm just picky about my prices. maybe if it was $180. there's a lot of cheaper coilovers, but they're low in quality (Arospeed, sucks. Dropzone, sucks. etc.).

it's boucy, but it's not that much... what do you expect?! of course it'll be different from stock. after all, isn't stiff what you're looking for? just image how many times it's saved you from bottoming out. it's the things you don't notice that makes it good.

stock... it's my first time in a lowered car. it feels like my friend's 2001 hyundai tiburon which is on stock springs, but the ride height is already low.

Strength:

Very Stiff Coil Overs. Handle well in sharp Corners, even better if you have hard shocks or Strut bars. Reduces nose dive when braking.

Weakness:

As stated before in many reviews they make your ride jumpy, depending on the car of course.

The Skunks2 Coil overs and the KYB GR2 Struts & Shocks are a really great suspension set up for my car. They really handle well in very sharp turns. Anyhow, I really agree with previous reviews stating that the Skunks2 coil overs are very stiff and can make your ride very uncomfortable (jumpy around like a rabit), but there is a way to stop this jump problem. The solution is very simple: BUY THE STRUT BARS FOR BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR. It will make your ride 90% comfortable, compare to the way it was before. At the beginning, I was very skeptical and dissapointed about the coil overs and the way my ride felt, but when I decided to buy and put the strut bars in, the whole perspective about my ride change immediately. The ride wasn't as jumpy as before when hitting potholes on the streets, by the way, did I mention that I live in NY (pothole city). Anyways, it seems that the strut bars help the coil overs to have more resistance to the ground (less jump)when hitting potholes on the streets or highways. My suspension handles pretty good this time, and I don't have to worry about hitting a pothole anymore. I hope my advice helps those people who have jumpy or bumpy rides. Instead of buying a whole new set of Springs or Coilovers, which average $150 and more, plus the labor(average $200 and up), having the coil overs removed and installed the new set, buy the strut bars and you will spend less than $120 tops, for both parts and labor included.

Ride is smooth Just a little bit of bounce car feels like it is on rails

Weakness:

None that I can think of

I just put on my skunk2 coilovers and let me tell you I am very impressed. The ride is really smooth. There is just a little bit of bounce and I have the coilovers maxed out. They ride the same if not better then my brothers car and he has H&R lowering springs. I would highly recommend these coilovers to anyone.

Performance - You can take turns @ 50 mph.

Weakness:

Basically like driving on a trampoline. Be prepared for back pain. These are way too bouncy!

I will give 2 reviews. Let me first say that I have KYB AGX. The first is for the ride quality. Let me paint you a picture, your riding down the road in your car and you look over at the guy in the accord and hes bouncing all over the place. You laugh and say he must have cut his springs, idiot. Oh wait that is you in the reflection of a truck next to you. THE RIDE ON THESE IS WICKED BAD. I drive to work everyday and my bad is done like dinner now. Be prepared for head hitting the roof, ass hurting, back pain. The 2nd review is for performance, if you can handle your head hitting the roof of your car then these are for you. You will hug every turn that you take regardless of speed. If you buy, i would first research for a chiropractor then the Ground Controls. I'm getting rid of my Skunk2s and getting the GC's.
