BBK Lowering Springs Springs

BBK Lowering Springs Springs

DESCRIPTION

Much improved handling characteristics, and a dramatically improved ride stance are the qualities you will get from our popular lowering spring kits which are available for today's popular Mustang and Camaro applications. Custom wound from the highest quality stress-relieved materials, each spring is subjected to numerous test procedures before the final baked-on powder-coat finish is applied. All lowering springs come in kits of four springs and are designed to lower your vehicle approximately 1-1/2 inches.

Strength:

They work well

Weakness:

For a Fox mustang the rest of your suspension after the install of these springs.

These BBK lowering springs offer in my oppinion the best overall performance/everyday drivablity that I have found for a foxbdy mustang. Couple these spring with a quality set of shocks and struts and you get a car that handles better without any sacrifice(probably an improvement)to street ride quality.

lowriding

Strength:

Make the vehicle look good and handling is much tighter.

Weakness:

Load carrying seems less than expected. I thought they would be stiffer enought to support more load. My girl is a bit heavy and when she rides in the back the suspension hits bottom extremely hard. Before the car just sagged in the rear (looked like it was lowered). She is about 285 - a lot of wieght but not much more than having 2 people in back.

Good if your girl is light!

Strength:

Control body motion and lower car to an acceptable level without sacrificing ride or ground clearance.

Weakness:

They showed me how much my stock shocks needed to be replaced.

I think I paid about $169 for these springs through Brother's Performance Warehouse in Norco?, CA. They were very easy to install. Jack up the car, take off the wheel, unbolt the lower control arm from the spindle (use a jack to keep it from springing down) and swap the springs. I recommend getting new spring insulators (rubber bushings) as mine were badly worn with 45,000 miles on my car. Put the new springs in and reassemble. Take directly to alignment shop. Camber will be off due to lower height. May need caster/camber plates from Maximum Motorsports. These are the best. Rode in a Mustang with the progressive rate Eibach springs and Illumina shocks before I bought my springs. Prefer the straight rate springs.

Had to replace Suspension Techniques springs with these. The ST springs sagged to the point that they were allowing my stock 17" tires to rub on my fenderwells.
