.mine was a great little van and I will miss it. Oh, when I bought this Windstar it had 31,000 miles on her, so the rest of the 193,000 miles was put on doing the paper route. So, 162,000 miles were hard used miles. Cleveland Pro Mobile Mechanic

Model Reviewed: Integra LS Tokico Suspension Package Springs and Shocks

Strength:

Cheap as you can buy for full suspension kit. Perfect drop for Integra/Civic with 17s. Rides great- like stock but a little tighter.

Weakness:

Muffler-sparking types won't think it's low enough.

I have a 96 Integra LS and replaced the stock 14in wheels to eliminate the hideous 5in of wheel well. I got 17s and low pro tires, but then the car rode an inch higher and still had too much well showing. I researched many others, price being a big factor. I didn't want a dropped look, just to get it back to stock and maybe plus an inch at most. So it was either Eibach or Tokico. I was going to go with Eibach until I read a few reviews and talked to a neighbor that experienced droop on driver side especially. These may do that later too, but at least nobody mentioned it.
You aren't supposed to use stock shocks with new springs, they may go bad quick and not ride quite right. I got the 1.5in drop front and rear springs and shocks kit for $360 on eBay, delivered. By far the best deal I'd seen. They look like candy red springs and blue shocks- you can see just a hint with them installed- mostly through wheels. Installation for a shadetree mechanic is relatively simple, it took me 8hrs with a nice easy pace and no compressor (good thing for spring tool-which is free loaner from Kragen). If I had to do it again, no manual required and it'd take 2hrs. When I dropped car- the right side was 2in higher than left and I was stressin it! But released pbrake and pulled out and it was fine. whew. Beautiful drop! tires are a little less than finger under the fender, I expect next week or two they'll be even w/fender.

Strength:

Not too low or high, very smooth and stock like, you can turn up the performance when needed by adjusting damping (stiffness) and rebound, no camber kit needed

Weakness:

None yet!

I have had the Tokico Advanced Handling Kit for a week so far which includes the springs and the white illumina struts. So far this is the suspension set-up that I have been looking for. The drop is smooth with 1.5" all around, and my I add that I don't need a camber kit. The struts are very comfortable as well, I like the fact that I can change the settings to my like in a matter of seconds. As for performance, their is noticable reduced breakdive, roll, pitch, and body motion. This set-up has everything; performance, and ride quality. If you are looking for these benefits get this set-up NOW!

Weakness:

None so far...

I bought the Advanced Handling Kit, includes both the struts and springs. The ride in my opinion feels almost like stock, real comfortable, not bouncy at all, unless you're on a nasty road (what else do you expect?). The lowered height is just perfect, not too low, not too stock-looking. So far I have no complaints on this suspension set-up.

stock suspension...feels comfortable, but like all stock suspensions, they're just too high.

Strength:

WAYYYY better than stock.

Weakness:

Not adjustable. not the KYB AGX's.

I bought the "Advanced Handling Kit" which includes the tokico blue shocks and springs. installation was a pain in the ass. i did it myself which is probably why. but anyways they made a HUGE change in the dynamics of the handling of the car. WOW what a difference.

Strength:

you know them all alredy: looks, feel, performance

Weakness:

compromized comfort but it is manageble, going 80 on the freeway the car does not baunce as I have expected it would. Have in for one year now, and if I had to make this decision again I would likely to look toward pro-kit from ebach.

1993 lowers 1.3 stiff on bumps but it is expected, left stock shocks on and works fine after 15k. car does not have the slammed look but that what I was looking for.

Strength:

These springs are awesome! Only a slightly firmer ride than stock, but really flat cornering. Lowered my car exactly the amount stated, and installed perfectly. They look great too. Lifetime limited warranty.

Weakness:

None that I have discovered yet.

I paid $165.00, but I am a technician at a Honda dealer so I got a fantastic deal, they can be bought by anyone for around $200 though, much less expensive than Eibach springs or Neuspeeds. I would recomend Tokico springs to anyone who wants an extremely high quality spring set to lower their ride due to their fantastic ride quality and handling traits, coupled with a better price that equal quality competition.

Similar Products Used:

Eibach springs. Neuspeed springs. They are much better ride quality than any of the other springs I have used. They ride great and have exactly the firmness for cornering and the amount of lowering I was looking for.
