Strength:

strength, price, durability, increased corning with minimal body flex.

Weakness:

May sqeak when driving before settling in, needs a better finish than the standard all black.

I had the rear sway bar replaced with addco unit, which is significantly thicker and stronger than with less bends than the factory unit. Comes with new mouniting brackets and bushings which is good.

Strength:

Seems to work pretty well

Weakness:

crappy instructions, touches control arms

The thing is noisy as hell when it hits uneven bumps. It has the worst instructions/pictures and addco.net never answers e-mails. My sway bars touch my control arms

Model Reviewed: 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited

Strength:

One of the best upgrades to my Jeep EVER. Flattens out the cornering. Makes a Jeep more like a car.

Weakness:

The only bad thing is that you WILL wear out your tires faster...especially if you drive your vehicle hard. But hey, its fun. The bushing should be changed from the ones that come with this kit. I went with energy bushings, and this got rid of many squeeks associated with these sway bars.

I have never had a problem with these, and recommend them to all Jeep owners who want some more on road performance.

Other kits were more expensive, so why would I want to use them....especially when these bars a stiffer.

Strength:

Gives a great improvement to handling with an affordable price and easy installation.

Weakness:

Decreases ground clearance enough that I've hit the mounting brackets on the ground several times. J.C. Whitney's customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

I've installed a front sway bar on a '66 Dodge Dart. You can read a detailed account of the installation in the Project Cars section.

This swaybar would get a five star rating, except that the brackets supplied to get the standard middle bushing brackets to attach to the frame hang low enough to hit the ground. I'm planning to install stiffer torsion bars to help reduce this problem, but it's something to watch out for.

The improvement in handling is quite noticable. Body roll appears to have been decreased by half. The only problem is that the car seems to understeer more, something which Addco warns is likely to happen if a front sway bar is used without a rear one. I'm planning to order a rear sway bar soon which should result in more neutral steering and even flatter cornering. I would not hesitate to recommend Addco swaybars to anyone looking for improving their car's handling.

So far, I haven't used any other aftermarket swaybars.

Model Reviewed: 1991 Toyota 4runner

Strength:

Really flattens out the cornering, makes the truck handle like a race car

Weakness:

Will wear out tires quicker, especially if the car is cornerd hard.

i couldnt believe the improvment the swaybars made on this truck. The 91 4runner sr5 comes with stock front and rear sway bars, but theses are MUCH better. Install was a piece of cake, although taking the OEM bar off was a pain as the nuts were all on there pretty damn tight. i had to use an impact wrench. but the whole install only took about 2 hours.

Only use of a Jack was needed, no lift required, and infact they say not to have the suspension hanging as this creates tension on the bar and makes it impossible to take off.

I have only installed the rear bar so far as the front on is on back order, but i can hardly wait.

As soon as i took it for a test drive, i noticed an imediate response. I "chirped" around corners with out any problems, and that is only the REAR. when the front one goes in, this truck will corner like its on rails.

BUY BUY BUY. www.performanceparts.com had a pretty good deal on them. 104 for the fronts, and 92 for the rear. GET THESE, youll love them.
