Summary: First I got the 04 Vue, not I've added this to my garage. The car is a good value. It's not luxury, and Honda has them beat in terms of comfort and space. I got the 4 door but there is no legroom in the back seats. Unless you're really short and drive with the seat all the way up, this is not the car to drive around more than 2 adults. The centered odometers are different and I kind of like them, though they take a bit of getting used to (might find yourself a bit more to the left or right while in freeway lanes at first). The car is sharp looking and definitely garners some attention, but it doesn't feel as "tight" as I'd like it to when I drive. Overall, when you consider the economical value of it, I give it 1 thumb up - I have no huge complaints. I think you'd do better with a loaded Civic though if you're going to drop 17k+change.
Strengths: Sharp-looking car, big trunk. The biggest strength I see actually has little to do with the car, and mostly to do with the fact that I know I didn't get ripped off by some arrogant a*s of salesperson. I paid a fair price and Saturn service is great. To me, I'll deal with a car that I don't consider to be near the top of its class, instead of having to go through the aggravations, hassles and months of second-guessing that you get at other dealerships.
Weaknesses: Poor leg room in the back seats, rear-view mirror vibrates a bit, doesn't "feel" as good as a Honda or the like - a bit less tight.

Summary: I bought my black LS a couple of months ago. I love the new look, its kinda Passatish. The car looks more expensive than what it is. So far there have been no problems. The car idles quietly, and is pretty comfortable. The leather seats are a must in this car, i think that the cloth cheapens it. I looked at the new Altima, but the dash had so much hard plastic, and the car wasn't really that comfortable. I've owned other saturns, and know that there are "better" cars out there, but i just love the reliability, and the way they treat me at the dealership.
Weaknesses: The only weakness is the interior. The seats are beautiful, I just wish that Saturn would start putting more money in the interior. The fit and finish is good, but could be better.

Summary: We love our Saturn. 14,000 miles and no problems, no squeaks, no rattles. This is our "town" car. Although it handles very well on the road, we prefer the power, comfort, and effortless cruising of our Buick LeSabre on the road.
We use our Saturn for hauling things since it has the fold down rear seats, and we've hauled 10-foot lengths of drainage pipe and gutters in it with no hassles. We bought the L200 because of the EPA gas mileage ratings (pretty close), the fold-down seats, the big trunk, and all the features that come with the car as standard equipment. We looked at the SL2 first, but when we added all the equipment to it, that comes standard on the L200, there wasn't that much difference in price, plus the standard side airbags and 4 wheel disk brakes were not available on the SL2.
Saturn also made good on their 30-day no hassle return policy. We bought our first L200, but my wife did not like the automatic temperature control, so we brought the car back after 14 days, and Saturn gave us a brand new one with NO HASSLES, and NO COST - we were back on the road again in 10 minutes.
Strengths: Standard features
Great handling car on curvy roads
Great handling in crosswinds
Fold-down rear seats
Good gas mileage
Weaknesses: Small tail lights - corrected on 2003 L200
Headlight coverage -corrected on 2003 L200
Not weaknesses - just conveniences:
Put power window controls on doors.
Put shifter for auto trans on steering column for more room in front seat.
Get rid of Firestone tires.
Similar Products Used: Dodge Stratus - Computer failed at 1,000 miles, and again at 8,000. Head gasket blew at 40,000. Lots of road noise. Chintzy interior, but handled pretty good.
