Summary:
This car realy worth the money. You get much more for the money you spend on it. I"m talking about a brand-new car,i have the 4 dr version. It looks great and feels great when you drive.I feel that i get almost all i want from a car.It has very quiet ride, strong engine ,very comfortable and large inside, and while driving on the road you feel the convenience of this car.It has a great auto air conditioning, very good stereo system and a lot of useful accessories that i found very helpful.I said "almost" because the only weekness of this car is that there is not an "esp" system to control the car in emrgency situations. This feature is very important and in my opinion has to be in any new car.I drove on some other new cars that are more expensive and i found that this car behavior on the road is very good for the money.I think this car is a great buy.Thank you "Suzuki".

Strengths:
price,accessories,performance,spacious inside,very comfortable,credibility reputation("made in Japan"),and very beautiful sight.

Weaknesses:
no "esp" system security, not dynamic enough.

2006 Suzuki Aerio Sedan awd

Summary:
I love the look/body of this car. Its fast, hugs curves and is great to drive in the snow! However... I have had to have my breaks and pads changed over 10 times in less than 2 years!!!! I had to have new tires put on at only 8000 miles...the crappy factory tires that they put on were wore down to the metal!!! I have had problems with my check engine light, check fuel light, there is a hole in the drivers side floor, keep in mind I bought this car brand new... and now the the entire compnent for my windshield wiper has to be replaced. I love this car but its becoming a lemon.

Strengths:
It looks pretty when waxed. =)

Weaknesses:
Tires
Breaks
Break Pads
Windshield wipers
Icon Malfunction

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Suzuki Aerio S AWD

Summary:
This is the first new car I have ever purchased, and I can tell you that this was the most nervewracking experience, since buying my first house! To add to the stress, I had to make my decision in less than a week, due to a car accident and time running out on the use of a rental. I initially was going to purchase a Ford Focus Wagon, however, going on this website set me straight on that. Regardless of the lengths I researched that Ford had dealt with the problems of their Focus line, I was not convinced it would be the most prudent purchase at this time. I then checked out the Hyundai and Kia products, but was unsatisfied with the style and price. My father recommended Suzuki, having driven one of their SUVs and really enjoyed it. Lucky for me, the 2004 Aerio was now available, and was offering a very affordable, roomy, AWD, good mileage and safe vehicle! Because it is a fairly new line, and Suzuki does not have a lot of vehicles on the road (yet), it was hard to get a lot of feedback on their Aerios. However, any customer comments on any Suzuki product was consistently positive, and I was swayed by their all-Japanese produced product, the fact that they consistently sold out all their vehicles, and did not have any early year models used available. As well, they were offering 0% financing, very attractive to us, who were very driven by price. Anyway, after testdriving the FWD manual and automatic, it was not a hard sell to upgrade to the AWD, and my dealer was willing to negotiate on the price, so I got the AWD with A/C for a very good price! The car runs extremely securely and smoothly on the road, and I love the style of this car, I don't care that reviewers have poopoohed the bizarre dash...I love the large LCD displays, it lets me know how fast I am going, which is too fast too often! The pep of this car makes it too much fun to drive, and allows a tendency to accelerate beyond need, but I think I will get over that soon. I also love the hatchback cargo, I can finally fit my large jogging stroller in the back, with so much room to spare, something unthinkable in my former Dodge Neon! It has folding down back seats which allows us to move stuff, pack stuff, purchase stuff that we never could have before! We have great warranties plus their 5yr unlimited KM roadside assistance plus we did splurge on their extended warranty. We plan on driving this car for years to come, so trade-in value was not a big deal to us. If this car performs as well as we think (hope), it will be matched by another Suzuki in the garage in a couple of years. I definitely suggest anyone who is interested in the Toyota Matrix or Mazda Protege5 to check out the Aerio. It is a better price, and a comparable product. We couldn't be more pleased with our car!

Strengths:
Handling (AWD) Smooth ride Cool looking interior Very safe vehicle Good price Roomy cargo space child friendly

Weaknesses:
None that we have experienced yet

Toyota Matrix Mazda Protege5 Pontiac Vibe

Price Paid:  $14300.00 from Ron Tirapelli Ford S

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Suzuki Aerio

Summary:
In april of 2004 I researched the top three foriegn compact car makers, Honda, Toyota, and Nissan for a economy car that would suit my needs. I visited many dealerships and test drove many compact models. I happened to pass a Suzuki dealership and walked in to do a little comparison shopping. I test drove the Aerio model and was impressed by how much room there was in the interior, and how easily all the accessories could be reached. This was an important factor, as I am 6' 5" and 215 lbs. This vehicle was easy to get in and out of compared to the other vehicles I drove, and it feels very much like "command seating". I had a very good view of the road, and there is plenty of head room. Next in importance was feul efficiency and dependability. The Aerio S model claims 26 to 29 city and 31 to 33 highway. I am getting near or over that amount. Performance wise, this little car gets up and moves. The 2.3 Liter dual overhead cam engine does its job quite well, although the handling is a bit shaky at high speeds. The definitive selling point of this car was of course the warranty. The seven year 100,000 mile warranty is impressive and comes with 3 year 36,000 mile roadside assistance. The timing chain and the gears are warrantied for the life of the vehicle, and all warranties are transferrable from owner to owner if the vehicle is sold. I have had my Aerio for 21 months now and have had one problem with this vehicle. The throttle position sensor was faulty, and would downshift on its own. I had to make use of the roadside assistance program, and was thoroughly impressed with the level of service and courtesy I recieved from Suzuki. The tow truck driver arrived to pick up my vehicle within 20 minutes, and after the repair was made, I received a phone call from Suzuki Corporate Customer Care center to make sure everything went OK. Given the opportunity, I would most definitley buy another Suzuki based on the service I received from the dealership and Suzuki themselves. This vehicle is an all around good deal, with the same options as other foreign economy cars, but listing about 2,000 dollars less.

Strengths:
Easy to get in and out of, lots of interior room and well laid out dash accessories, good fuel economy and performance.

Weaknesses:
Shaky high speed handling, a visit to the dealership due to a faulty electrical component.
