Price Paid:  $13999.00 from Car Max

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 hatchback Yaris

Summary:
This is a great little car. I enjoy driving it and the ride is very comfortable. MPG was 38.87 with my second tank of gas. Not to bad. I love my Yaris.

Strengths:
Fun drive, handles well, roomy for a small car, looks great..excellent gas mileage and it is a Toyota!

Weaknesses:
Would be nice to have options. I will be adding keyless entry, cruise and sun roof. But lack of options keeps the price down.

Review 2 of 7

Price Paid:  $17000.00 from Toyota of Orange, CA

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 Yaris, 4 door sedan AT

Summary:
Gosh, I love this car. I have had this car since Feb 2007 and it's been wonderful. I'm no expert, I'm your average 40 year old single woman. I drive 8 mi one way to work, 14 mi one way to church, around town, nothing exciting. I usually buy and drive a 2-door coupe with a manual transmission, but this time decided to "grow up" and get an automatic 4-door. I've had Hondas (civic, prelude) mostly in the past, but also a VW. But this was my first brand new Toyota. Honestly, I've never been happier with a car. I have not had one problem mechanically. It runs like a top! I do get regular oil changes and keep her in good shape (tires inflated, washed every week, etc.) and seriously have not had one problem or complaint with how she runs or rides.

The blind spots are non-existent, she's easy to handle and park, she's so roomy inside with plenty of comfort for 5 people and lots of trunk space. I'm even happy with the instrument panel being in the center of the dash, which sorta took me a while to adjust to. I think she looks slick and modern and very sexy! I'm extremely happy with this car.

If I had to find things to consider a "con", there are a few. When on my bluetooth or speaker phone and driving on the fwy it's hard for my callers to hear me as there is a bit of cab noise. Not terrible, though. And I'd love it if there were more than just the two little compartments on either side of the front middle section and the little armrest cubby between the driver and passenger. The air conditioner vents are sometimes hard to position so I feel it. And with the air on, it's best to put the car in neutral as the engine rattles lightly occasionally when sitting at a light or through the drive through. But overall, great car and I love her.

Strengths:
gas mileage, no blind spots, handles well, looks great, runs perfect

Weaknesses:
mild cab noise, a/c makes engine rattle, needs more storage compartments.

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $14500.00 from Upsate NY

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 Toyota Yaris

Summary:
2007 5 speed 4cyl Yaris. This is a well built car, especially considering the price. Sound proofing is very good. Handling is reasonable. Finish is very good as is fit. Options: Electric Windows, Tach, Cruise. Not a speed demon, but it will easily hit 100mph and then some eventually. Why it's considered a 2007 is anyone's guess especially since I bought it in April 2006.

Strengths:
40+ MPG around town without the A/C on. 39 around town with A/C on. Price.

Weaknesses:
Poor off the immediate line, meaning it has poor torgue to get it rolling. Sometimes the car will near stall (I've driven standards for 30+ years, from VW Beetles w/ 36hp to BMWs w/ 200hp). Car (passengers) might not do well in a crash. Built well, but not too much to it.

Similar Products Used:
Pontiac 5 speed 4cyl Sunfire. Similar mileage (35 -37). Seems more solid.

Price Paid:  $15000.00 from Bennett Toyota

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 Yaris sedan

Summary:
A great car. It has served me well. It did very well in the snow this winter. It is a nice looking car inside and out. I would recommend it to anyone.

Strengths:
Styling, MPG, audio jack.

Weaknesses:
A little slow, but if you are looking for a sports car, you are looking at the wrong car.

Review 5 of 7

Price Paid:  $14700.00 from Boch Toyota

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 Sedan

Summary:
I really like this car. I was reluctant at first to buy a vehicle that was considered a economy type car but it has proven itself to be a great automobile.

Strengths:
The Yaris has that quality Toyota look, style and performance. It is awesome on gas and is a stylish, quick little car. For it's size it really has decent interior and trunk space. I drove the car to Manhattan, NY and it zipped through all that traffic with ease. I have a standard so automatic models might not drive the same. I got the model with cuise control and power locks and windows.

Weaknesses:
My interior is black so this might be why but every little particle shows up on the seats making it appear dusty and dirty even after I just cleaned it. The clutch took a little getting used to. The car seemed to have a hard time going from stop to 1st. The pedal is very touchie. You're either not pushing down hard enough or flooring it. Took some getting used to. Speakers keep going in and out in the front of the car.

Similar Products Used:
Toyota Camry, Volkswagon Passat, Nissan Maxima.
