Summary:
I had really bad luck with every car I ever bought. I decided to lease and I have not had one issue with this vehicle yet. I know it's only been a year, but several of my friends who also leased (volkswagons and acuras) this year have had their cars in the shop 4 and 5 times already. Yikes!!! I know it has limited power, but i live in a very mountainous area and i have never had a problem getting up hills. I have never towed anything though. Merging on the interstate has been fine too. On Star is the best thing on earth. I feel so safe knowing my car can be tracked where ever it goes. Onstar also monitors your car's preformance. Onstar sends you monthly emails instructing you when to take your car in. So, I have put 10,000 miles on it and I have only had to have ONE oil change. Which is awesome for a lease since you have to stay on top of it. My complaints are the material for the seats... when you don't get leather the other material is horrible with stains. I had a little spot that I tried to clean with water and the water left another spot. And then spot cleaner left another one. I have no idea how you are supposed to clean this material. And the trunk space is really small. The vehicle appears to be larger than what it is. It's So easy to park and I run over curbs and stuff all the time with no problem! I get about 17 mpg which I think is great. My crappy Izuzu got about 10. I am so happy with this car. I am really impressed so far with the quality. Even though I have almost a base model, it feels so solid to drive. I just hope they don't try and screw me at the end of the lease.

Summary:
Okay let me start with this....i have completed 7 1/2 years of active service in the Army along with my third trip to Iraq, needless to say that driving the Humvee has become a way of life. Upon returning home from my last deployment i decided to by my H3 and i absolutely love it!

Off road i honestly think it would leave my Humvee in its trail. It took mud and hills and rocks all in stride and begged for more. The electronics are very smooth and quite invisible, you do notice them a little. the suspension is smooth and allows for more than enough articulation in the rear, could use a little more up front though.

On the road it is very comfortable. I have read a lot of magazine reviews and have found very little truth in any of them. It has plenty of power (unless you are actually trying to win at Daytona). getting on to the highway or interstate, passing, merging through trafic is not hard or painful. I also have a '94 ford ranger in Germany with me, if you want painful try getting onto the Autobahn in that. The same suspension that works so well off road is a charm on the highway. It is solid but does not buck tremendously, and it DOES NOT wonder around on the highway. The interior is VERY nice. I got the Luxo package so i got the leather and all that jazz. It is put together very clean and very tight. I dont need a lot of gadgets that i have no clue as to their use to impress me or anybody else. It is simple yet well appointed.

I hope this helps somebody out. I just couldn't stand reading tose articles by the hummer hating hords. Oh yeah, I really do get 19 miles average per tank. hope this helps

2006 HUMMER H3

Summary:
I purchased the H3 as my first SUV. I wanted something different and the H3 certainly fit the bill. I am 6'2" and there is more than enough leg room and head room. The H3 delivers a very comfortable ride for daily driving. I have found the ride much smoother than my wife's 2006 Honda Pilot, which is a beautiful vehicle. The turning radius is very tight, which makes maneuvering in parking lots a snap. In fact, that is one of the best features of the H3. The interior is laid out for ease of use and the dash materials are rubberized giving it an upscale feel. The cargo area is all rubber and plastic so you don't have to worry about ruining it. The H3 is a real head turner. We have become accustomed to people staring as we drive by...people are entranced by it's large, squared HUMMER styling. Gas mileage is decent and acceleration is better than I expected, but not even in the same league as the Pilot. It's a large SUV and I'm 36 years old so I'm not concerned about driving really fast anymore. Here in NE the winters can be brutal. During snow storms I have to go to my rental properties to make sure somebody has shoveled. I am impressed with the H3's performance in the snow! The AWD system keeps it sure-footed and confident. The only flaws are that there is very little room between the front seats for your cell phone, wallet, etc. Not a big deal, just an annoyance every day. And the window controls on the armrest are too far back for comfortable operation, but easy to get used to. No "real" complaints at all.

Strengths:
Excellent unique styling. Smooth and comfortable ride. Great in snow. Upscale interior. Roomy front seats.

Weaknesses:
Little room for cell phone, wallet, etc between 2 front seats.

Summary:
I am writing to share my opinion because I saw so few reviews on this vehicle. The vehicle is good in all areas. I do have my complaints although I knew them buying the vehicle. First, the engine does NOT have enough power. The vehilce is all wheel drive and low geared so without a bunch of horsepower it just feels sluggish. Not terrible but we also have over sized tires/wheels so the problem is enhanced. The door controls are poorly placed and you can not reach them without holding your arm in a wierd position. That ends my complaints. On the mediocar side is the fuel economy. We can get 18mpg if I drive, but when my wife drive it quickly drops the mpg to about 14-15. So you can get good economy but must drive conservative to get it. Again not a bad trate but a consideration for someone coming from a larger SUV...it is not as big on the inside as it looks on the outside. We had a Tahoe with a 3rd row. As far as room goes I with we had it back. The H3 is about the smae size inside as the Chevy Trail Blazer. FYI
On to the positive side it is a hot looking vehicle, especially with a few add ons. It does a beatiful job in the snow or poor weather. Overall it is nicely equipped with all the amenities.

Excellent styling, superb off road and snow ability.

Weaknesses:
Lack of power and poor position of controls on the doors.
