Review 2 of 389

Price Paid:  $26000.00 from Doan Jeep Rochester

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Jeep Liberty

Summary:
Very nice SUV outstanding fit and finish and good powertrain. I''ve owned several 4-wheel drive vehicles and still own a chev extended cab 4x4. The jeep is first class, I bought the limited loaded with tow package, select-trac, and off road package. It pulls my 3000lb boat nicely (but not like my v8 truck. The interior is well laid out and the power seats are very comfortable. I am kind of a car nut (I own five), so before I buy anything I research and drive everything. There is no other mid size SUV comes close, I drove the Escape, Xterra, Hyundai and rav four. The Jeep is in a class of it''s own. I liked the Xterra except you set on the floor with no power seat option, and with 170hp the engine is too weak for towing even though Nissan claims a 5000lb tow capacity. Good job D/B!

Strengths:
Power, comfort and Jeep strenght

Weaknesses:
Gas mileage, after 2500 miles only 17.5 per gallon average

Similar Products Used:
Escape, Xterra, Hyundai and rav4.

Review 4 of 389

Price Paid:  $20000.00 from Gene Messer, Amarill

Summary:
If you enjoy the sound of rushing wind and the roar of a good engine on the open highway, (with the windows up) this car's for you! We bought the Cherokee Sport 4X4 and other than being very noisy in the cabin, I can't complain. Hey, its a JEEP, not a luxury car. You just have to know that. This is the last of the Cherokees and the only year model that Consumer Reports likes. Mine has been trouble free for 27,000 miles except for a faulty sensor in the fuel tank that was repaired.

Strengths:
High clearance, big 6 cyl 4.0 engine, unique looks, 50+ years experience in building 4X4's, price.

Weaknesses:
Lots of road, wind and engine noise gets through. Limited [passenger and cargo room.

Izuzu Trooper, 1999

Price Paid:  $11000.00 from eldrid motors

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 jeep grand cherokee laredo

Summary:
my jeep has just recently had tranny issues. once i reach 30 mph the engine will rev and rpm's will build but mph's will not rise. i called the dealership with the codes but they will not tell me what the codes translate to. basically they want me to bring it in so they can charge me 65 dollars per hr to tell me what it means. any how if anyone has any info on this problem please let me know what it is. i was curious if maybe it is the clutches or valve body.

Strengths:
i love it except for this problem
