Review 2 of 20

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello

Summary:
The Ferrari 550 is quite possibly the greatest modern front engine Ferrari ever made. The 5.5 liter making 485 horsepower is an incredible powerplant. This car will run 4.5's to 60mph and 4.2's if your good.

Strengths:
The interior is first rate. Beautiful leather and very functional controls and dials. Daytona sport seats with 4-point harness's are a wonderful option on this car. The brakes are very powerful and virtually fade free. It is also the most beautiful car in the world (a nice touch)

Weaknesses:
The exhaust note is a bit muted. The Tubi exhaust system is needed. Police are always very interested in such a car. Insurance is hefty price, but of course this is a Ferrari.

Similar Products Used:
competition for the 550 are; the Porsche 911 Turbo, Lamborghin Diablo 6.0, Aston Martin DB7 Vantage and the NASA space shuttle.

Review 3 of 20

Price Paid:  $205000.00

Summary:
Come on man! This car is way beyond the realm of usefulness..I can't even take it around the block without at least three cars tailing me and trying to peak inside. It came in a container to the dealership, and they called me when it arrived. Changing the gears even gave me trouble (the car stalled twice at a light two blocks from the dealership). I could see the salesman smile as I accelerated from the lot. It is due for service (only after a few thousand miles) as the red indicator light appears to flash. Driving this car daily is a no, no! Thank goodness for my internet company's stock options!!!

Strengths:
If you haven't flown an airplane, this is your chance. It leaves the tailers behind.. Most people don't even know what it is.. One woman asked, is that the car Magnum P.I. used to drive? I just laughed, yeah, right. What an insult. Even he wished to drive this.

Weaknesses:
Attention getter. You can't park anywhere without people asking your occupation, gawking and dribbling on the window. It's also very thirsty. Also, I'm tall and the seat is very uncomforatble.

Similar Products Used:
I never owned anything else that came close to this car. BMW! No Way!! Porsche! No way!

Review 5 of 20

Price Paid:  $146000.00

Summary:
This car is like no other, Ferrari is only getting better. It has the ability to totally engross you in her beauty. If you can't buy one, than try to test one. Don't even let a glimmer of a hint of an ounce of a thought enter your head that you would get anything other than a manual transmission. We have liftoff.

Strengths:
This thing is ridiculous. If you want a metaphor, it would be that you are riding a jet that doesn't get off the ground...usually. The engine is breathtaking, I drove it at first on the high cliffed roads between Monte Carlo and Nice and the rock was like a symphonic mirror, catching the roar of a 550 horsepower V12 and returning the music right back, doubling my pleasure. Engine is all that should matter, nothing like having that power right at your fingertips. However there is more than the engine, the chrome interior is very aesthetically pleasing, the stick is very tight, and the body is gorgeous.

Weaknesses:
MPG. But if that's a concern don't get this beast.

Similar Products Used:
2000 NSX
Lamborghini Diablo
2000 Porshe 991(this one is real quick)
1999 vette(can't hold a candle to 550)
