Strength:

best motor in the world. very comfortable seats. lots of bells and whistles. good sound system. good looks. my wife looks great driving it.

Weakness:

not everyone can afford one, but used ones are very reasonable. it gets tiring having owners of most imports always sucking your tailpipe.

this is my second sls. my first, a 97 was a great car. this 01 model is better in every way. even though it's only 6" shorter, it seems more like a foot. the best thing about it is this great motor. americans know how to biuld a great V8. it's a lot easier to see out of than the 97. the side mirrors are way better and the doors seem lower. i get about 20 mpg in the city on regular. it's very easy to drive. if you wasted your money on an import i feel sorry for you. better luck next time.

Strength:

lots of power, descent handling, lots of hi-tech features, love the Onstar thingie, I've needed it a few times.

Weakness:

build quality build quality build quality. Cadillac will need to do better in this regard to be able to compete with the likes of Lexus, and Mercedes. But these other manufacturers, let it be noted charge alot more for their product.

For the money Cadillac sure does pack alot of features, but build quality is a problem. Hopefully their next generation cars, starting with the CTS, have better build quality. All in all you get more than your moneys worth. I have, this is my third cadillac and lovin it.

EVERYTHING!!! at 50,000 miles not an ounce of a problem. It's gorgeous, has everything and rides like a dream!

Weakness:

I only own one!

I truely love my cadillac!! I traded my old seville in on a new 2001 Monte Carlo ss-loaded with more options than my 92 seville. Barely a year later traded it in (took the loss) on my 98 seville. Once you drive a cadillac...nothing else compares! I'll never drive anything but one of these luxury cars!!!! Simply the best!

My 2001 Monte Carlo couldn't compare! But you get what you pay for...25,000 vs. a 45,000 vehicle. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!

Strength:

The over all presence of this car is outstanding American craftmanship at it''s best. This Seville STS out performed and handle great during sharp movements and like a superb road chief during highway travel.North star engine extremely superb, build quality and leather surfaces also superb. Cadillac has proven once and again it''s THE STANDARD OF THE WORLD!Cadillac proved it can take on the imports and still rain supreme.

Weakness:

None NOT ONE FLAW

First time in a CADDY and loving it. Everything they say about a caddy is true the ride etc. The first 300hp front drive V8 I have ever driven it''s superb. EVERY one always love to say the german do it better THAT IS FLASE. THOSE PEOPLE have not driven a CADILLAC. Cadillac has rained supreme for years with more to come just like the hot new CTS and EXTREMELY POPULAR ESCALADE. I can not wait until the new Cadillac Seville arrives. I will never buy another german car the parts take for ever to come and the cost of repair is a shame.Cadillac is the place to be with cutting edge design and performance can not be macthed !!!!!!!!!

Strength:

Lots of power, good sound system - thats it!

Weakness:

Everything - Loose trim, missing trim, rattles, too much body roll, constant elec. error messages, interior parts falling off, rear view mirrors stick in reverse, anti-lock fails, traction control not reliable. Shall I continue? Wind noise, way too much front end torque, dealer service the worst.

Absolutely the worst vehicle I have ever owned! Car was delivered with missing trim and has spent more time in the lifts than in my garage. 5 occassions car was delivered for repair with NOTHING REPAIRED! Service techs. were thoughtful enough to leave their half eaten lunch in back seat. Hated the car enough whereas I wrote them a check and terminated the lease 8 months ahead of schedule ($6000)

Reliability after initial problems were repaired.

Weakness:

Dealer service and Nissan Canada customer service. The only dealer to treat me with respect and courtesy are the people at Orangeville Nissan.

Reliable car. Only problems were a defective l/h strut assy wich was replaced under warranty. Initial assembly of the interior drivers door panel was left up to me as the guys in the factory must have been to busy with other thing. No problems since then. Owned since new.

Strength:

Ride, nice looking car, Front Wheel drive for snow, supportive seats

Weakness:

Quality is awlful, fit and finish poor, ergonomics - horrible, Dealer support is awlful. Squeaks, noisey interior. Electrical Gremlins.

I had a 1995 Continental and purchased the Seville as a re[placement because the Conti hadn''t changed. The Seville is a nice car and handle mor European like then the Conti. Teh Seville seating is more supportive and less fatiguing on long trips. Teh fit and finish on the Conti is far ahead of the Seville. Teh ergonomics fo teh Conti is also superior. Example: the Conti has a sunglass holder in teh ceiling, Seville has one in teh glove compartment tow doors openings away. The Seville has no change holders. You can''t see the clock on teh radio in daylight. There''s more but I will stop here. Teh Seville has about the same amount of power. Teh Conti has a selectale ride control but I prefer the Seville''s taught ride. The Conti steering is selectable and doesn''t suffer from the magnasteer jitters. Bose is not a good sound system. Good on paper. The base, treble, and midrange controls have little effect. The sub-woofer only comes into play if you blast the volume up. Teh JBL system in the Conti was much nicer sounding at normal levels. Squeaks and rattles all over the Seville. Also electrical gremlins. Bells that suddenly go off, noises from the electircla system, air conditional compressor that screams everytime the clutch engages. The Conti was also substantially quieter inside then the Seville. No comparison. The sunroof closed in the Seville is like an open window for noise. The Conti sunroof was dead quiet. No noise came through. I wish teh quality was betterin teh Seville. I regret my purchase and wished I purchased a car with higher quality. Teh dealership support is nothing to write home about Linclon''s isn''t much better.
