Handling and power! Handling and power! Handling and power! Oh yeah, double take looks! (Make that Babe magnet looks!) Did I say handling and power? Aero Package and Sport Suspension make this car stayed glued to the road through anything I was brave enough to throw at it! Did my speedometer really say 151 on a California Freeway?

Weakness:

My fault actually, don't know how to park a car with spoilers. Trashed the front one three days into owning the car. Set me back $350 when I finally found a replacement. Paint job is still easy to trash from the 2003 models. Even if it is ZAINOed. Willow Interior gets dirty quick, especially if you have a 10 year old. THE BIGGEST WEAKNESS OF ALL - Can't get my wife to stay out of it long enough for me to drive it!

Anyone who has read the reviews in this section knows what the features are so I am not going to go into them again. I bought my "G" with so many options it is easier to tell you what I don't have, Satellite Radio. I just surpassed 3K miles and the car still performs the way it did on the test drive, breathtaking. I wanted a sporty little car for my wife and kid and ended up with a roller coaster ride that doesn't end. If only I were single. Several young ladies admiring my car tried to convince me to become one again. Based on what the reviews say about the 2003 models, I believe that Infiniti took care of the major complaints with the 2004 model. The chassis has a solid feel, no rattles, stereo (Bose) sounds good, interior doesn't look cheap to me. (Maybe I don't know luxury even if it hits me in the face!) I think I made a good choice for the first time buy in the entry level luxury market. BMW, Lexus, Audi, Mercedes, Acura and other manufacturers with comparable models just didn't "excite" me as much as this car did, at least at a price that I was willing to pay. Give me a Porsche or a Ferrari for free and I will take it!

My predecessors in this forum have mentioned the obvious, let me detail a few of the less described high-points: - Cool factor: guys in cars 3 times as much stare as though envious. - BM Beater: it's always nice to wipe the smug smile off a BMW owners face. - Brembo Brakes (6MT only): a $5,000, top notch breaking system is well worth the money. Again, coolness factor steps back in. - Limited availability: someone wrote that this was a weakness. There are plenty of BMW 330s on the road. If you want a high production vehicle, buy a Honda.

Weakness:

- Cheapo materials on the dash. - Cluttered HVAC buttons (think hunt and peck while attempting to drive). - More meat on the ground wouldn't hurt. - Stereo controls suck. - Stereo sucks. - Even FORD Econoline vans of the '80s had better window motors (no joke!).

Some might argue that this vehicle has competition. I don't see it that way. Entry level luxury sport coupe (is this really a category?) has a handful of fine entries. As others have mentioned, the Acura TL (Too Little or Too Late, take your pick) and BMW 330 are close competition. But not by my standards. Upon first glance, I knew I wanted this car. The lines spoke to me and the numbers were quite the best in the field. At its price, it's not cheap - it's comparable. Do they provide value/$? Absolutely. Is it the best value/$? You get what you pay for. The Acura is a looker, but has 4 doors and front wheel drive. Plus the overall feel is tinny and weak (hey, it's just a perceived feeling). The BMW brand has been stretched beyond its once proud nameplate. Luxury in their lines is real, though overrated. I found the leather in the G to be much softer than even that of a Mercedes S-Class not to mention most down-stream entries. To me, the G "fixed" all the "problems" with existing vehicles of similar caliber. More power, better leather, better handling, better communication with the driver. The list goes on. I have oft opined that the market has options to suit different individuals. This is a no brainer, really. Clearly BMW, Acura, Mercedes and even Chrysler don't have what it takes to be parked in my driveway. There really was only one that had this privilege. People usually shop for what's in their price range or just above it. I had less than a handful of cars (in said "category") to choose from. In that sense, it comes down to "what do you want to be seen in"?

The brakes are perfection No blind spot Fast and nimble Much easier to steer than the sedan Great looking Generous back seat Very fun to drive

This car is so much fun, so great looking, so fast and so nimble. If you're looking for something with great exterior styling, generous legroom, soft leather seats, great, smooth breaking and just fun to drive, this is it. I have no complaints and can't recommend it more highly. It's a sports car with space and a soft ride.

Styling is awesome and unique. Engine is great and has room for even more performance. The exhaust produces a wonderful sound that makes the heart skip a beat. Handles good. Love the aero kit. Lots of cool places to store stuff. Like the autodim rear mirror and the homelink works great. Siruis satellite radio is surprisingly addictive and a feature that I use more than I was expecting. Like having 2 power plugs.

Weakness:

Even with the seatbelt extender/holder, there isn't a whole lotta space between the seatbelt and the side panels so it sometimes hits and rattles. The stereo head unit is tied into the dual climate control circuits making replacing the head unit with an aftermarket (i.e. better) unit difficult. The BOSE sound system is only okay...the bass is too muffled sounding and soft - doesn't have a tight response. Sunglass holder is useless - doesn't hold my Oakley sunglasses. Still trying to find the "perfect" seat position - back part of seat memory would have been nice to have.

I have a Diamond Graphite G35 Coupe with Premium pkg, 4-piece Aero kit, Performance wheel/tire, sat radio. This car combines a great engine, great styling, all at a fairly reasonable price considering all it offers. I don't think there is another car out there that has its styling which is sporty, very elegant, and definitely turns heads - including my own. The engine performs great and there are already numerous modifications that can be made to it in order to increase its performance even further (Stillen, hopefully Nismo, etc.) The exhaust note is truly wonderful to hear. Though I think the interior is its weakest characteristic, it still is fairly clean cut and doesn't look too cheap. It doesn't have a cluttered look to it and you definitely can feel like your part of the car when driving.

- Engine Performance - Styling - Paint Job (The twilight blue is really slick) - Comfortable Seats - Usable Backseat - Trunk/Fold Down Seats - Wheels - Brakes - Exhaust

Weakness:

- Needs memory on the back part of the front seats - Clock is too small and needs to be more lighted - Stereo seems short on controls but I personally do not mind this as I do put much emphasis on car stereo...I just put the CDs in and let them play.

The car looks great in the twilight blue. I wanted the willow interior but ended up with the graphite (black). The black leather looks nice anyway. Interior of the car is not like a luxury model from BMW or Mercedes. It is more simple and clean. The only options I have on my car is the stuff that came with the MT and a sun roof. The stereo is decent, I am not really into the very loud car stereos. I was able to go 500 or so under MSRP with the dealer although I had to wait two months to get one without tons of options that I was not interested in paying for. The car rides nicely, again, its more of a sports car than a luxury car so you are going to feel the road. Braking, throttle, torque, gear shifting are all very nice.

Weakness:

Sound and Nav system Infiniti does not produce enough Too many G35s on the road for my liking Only able to drive it after midnight (sucks when there's bumper to bumper traffic) Bumpy at times

Before I reached 35, I wanted to treat myself to a G35, for which I spent just over 35G (actually close to 40 after taxes and stuff). My G35 was just about fully loaded -- premium, aero, nav, XM. I searched for my "perfect" car, but I had to talk to many dealers before I was able to get it at a "good" price, but I think I should have waited a little longer. It seems that the market is selling G35 coupes for MSRP. I have heard people say that the car is worth more than 35G for all that performance, but I disagree. I am not saying that it is worth less than 35G, but it certainly is not worth more. First, I was a bit turned off by its interior. Although it looks pleasant, it is certainly not made of the hightest quality materials. More importantly, other cars in the same market have better interior (in my view), for example, '04 Acura TL, Audi A4, BMW 3 series. Second, this market (near luxury) is highly competitive. In fact, it took me a very long time (almost 2 months) to finally decide on a car. I loved the '04 TL's interior, I loved BMW 3 series' handling and looks, I loved G35's raw power ... each car had its own unique strengths. So, I started to look at their weaknesses. In my opinion, the BMW 3 series (after choosing all the "necessary" options) is over-priced. Yes, it is the ultimate driving machine, but not at 45G (after taxes and stuff). The '04 Acura TL is a beautiful car at a tremendous price (arguably the most bang per dollar), but front wheel drive does not work for me. The Audi A4 just didn't have enough juice ... sort of dull, I thought. There were other cars I have considered, but they are not worth mentioning. So, if G35s were selling at 40G (before taxes and stuff), then I would probably get a BMW 330ci or 330i w/performance pack. I just don't think Infiniti can justify selling G35s at 40G+ ... there are so many alternatives ... Unfortunately, I didn't consider maintenance costs in my equation. For example, I found myself spending alot of time at the gas station. I think it has to do with the way I drive. I have been going a bit faster, breaking a bit harder, turning a bit sharper, ... I have a feeling that all this extreme driving will catch up soon. Oh yeah, I just got a speeding ticket ... hmmm ... But then, what else would you do with a G35?

SWEET!!! i have a BMW 745 sport, and an Audi Allroad, so driving this car is diffrent in the sense it is truly a Brash, and gracefull sports car. After owning a 1995 Porsche 911, for 6 years, one can really tell or have a benchmakr for a cars performance and handling. While this car wont pull of a wild, porshce oversteer tailspin, at 95+ mph, it will provide enough thrill for even the most demanding drivers. A. 280 hp, this thing has loads of torque (270), and pulls right off a stoplight, thrusting you into the back of your seat, in a remarkable type of way, and you cant forget that exhaust sound that you hear 1/4 of a mile away, and under full throttle has the wail of a ferrari. to put it bluntly, theres not much else on the road aside from 50+ thousand dollars sports cars that can run with it. (Note: this thing will out boogie a 330ci, with out breaking a sweat, although thats equally an amazing car) B. This thing handles like its on rails, with very little body roll, and gobbs of grip. Very linear and direct steering with a refreshing natural feel to it, with great weighting. Naturally its rear-wheel drive allows it to corner, combined with its perfectly dialed in suspension, chasis, brakes, and weigh balance, high-speed cornering that would have even the most capable front drive cars in the grass. Essentially, if youre on a great two laner backroad, you WANT to be in this car. C. The stereo and interior are great, Bose is very punchy with warm lows and clear highs, to make for a great sound stage. the interior has great seats, and a great wheel, for tight cornering, with a nice heating feature, (albeit allot less comlicated then in the Audi or BMW), and dual climate. However, a down side to this car is that some (not all) of the interior materials are not up to its germany rivals, while they are certainly better then most other cars out there, they could be better (*this is not a big thing) On the whole this is a sweet car, and a great value for the money

See above:

I wrote a review several months ago, which was favorable. This is after almost 4 months of ownership. I was really excited when I got my new G35 Coupe. The excitement definitely wore off. The car came with a dented bumper, which the dealer fixed, but in the process got overspray all over the car, which meant the car needed to be clayed. The paint finish is not up to par. There were rattles that could't be found or quieted, the brake dust is horrendous and don't let your shoes come in contact with the door sills, as the paint chips off easily. After almost 4 months in the car, I gave up and traded the car in for a Honda S2000. The Honda embodies the kind of quality I would have expected from an Infiniti, unfortunately, the G35 sorely lacked in quality. They spent too much on the engine of the G35, leaving little else for the rest of car. The interior is way to plasticky to last and scratches appear out of nowhere. The cars sears appear comfy, but I defy you to sit in them long term and find the comfort up to the level of other luxury sport coupes. If you do find a comfortable position, DON'T let anyone adjust the seat at the carwash, because there is no memory and you may never get the seat back in the same position. If you're fussy about maintaining your car's interior and exterior, this is not the car for you.

What can I say, the G35c is a stupendous automobile - looks, performance, and a decent level of practicality. Been driving mainly Audi and Mercedes the last 12 years, but longed for a 2 door sports coupe. Audi TT's back seat could not accomodate my child safety seat, and could not bring myself to pay more than my E-class for the Mercedes CLK, which is essentially a C-class car. So when I came across the G35c, I was pleasantly surprised to find a good balance of performance and luxury. Mind you, it is no Audi, BMW, or Mercedes when it comes to luxurious materials. Nevertheless, it is well built, with nice feeling controls, and is well appointed with features. One of my favorite things to do is just starting the G35c. The exhaust just emits a high tech growl that gets the driving juices flowing. The steering wheel feels great and imparts just the right amount of road feel. The seats are very supportive but are a little narrow across the bottom. I am 5' 11" and 160 lbs so I am not 'broad' anatomically. The super supportive Recaros in my Audi don't seem to be as tight. I also wish the headrest protrudes forward a little more. It goes where you point it; albeit not as razor sharp as my old Porsche 944. The ride is surprisingly well damped againts bumps for a low riding sports coupe. Punch the accelerator and you are into triple digit mph, before you know it. I learnt in my earlier days at the track that there is always someone with a more high performing vehicle. So the G35c may not be the absolutely best handling or the absolute quickest to 60 mph, but it is a completely satisfying package that handles adroitly and is plenty fast for our daily roads. Everytime I think about the G35c, it just makes me smile!
