Strength:

Very roomy. I am a large person - 6'1", 230 lbs. and I fit very comfortably in any of the seats. The back seats are especially comfortable compared to other cars its size. A lot of power. Looks great. I love the analog clock.

Weakness:

Recommended premium fuel gets expensive.

When we went out looking for a new car, we had full intentions of getting the Acura TL. However, we decided on test driving the comparable model Infinit and Lexus. Well, after we drove the Infiniti i30, our minds were made up. It is a beautiful car with a lot of power.

Strength:

Service A1, no hassle. smooth engine, Bose system. Comfort. smart looking front. Improved looks with the 2002 model; especially from the rear.

Weakness:

steering wheel vibrates between 125km/h and 135 km/h. OK over 135 km/h. i30 body roll more pronounced than 130t. Cruise control button placement??? Trunk latch located on inside of driver side door; I suspect my hip must''ve popped it open at least 3 times.

I felt that with the 100K KM warranty this was a great used car purchase. Good future resale value. Condsider the i30 to be the Cadillac of Japanese vehicules.

Strength:

Excellent engine. Has all the features most people want. Sunshade is very useful if you park outside of work. Absolutely no problems since I bought the car.

Weakness:

Not fond of subwoofer. I hate rap and the subwoofer reminds me of rap regardless of what song is playing.

I got a great deal on a roomy, very well built and feature-rich car. Paid $22.5k for a 2001 with 22k miles. Extremely comfortable compared to Acura TL and Lexus 300(I''m 6''3"). Only I30 gave me the leg and headroom I needed. Has plenty of horsepower. Sharp looking.

Strength:

Engine and all the standard features.

Weakness:

None.

Excellent overall. Very good pickup even though my ''99 has only 190 hp. Comfortable ride and all the amenities you want. Have driven better handling cars but considering all the positives this is a minor issue. Excellent sound for a car system. Not a single defect or problem in 3 years. Even though my company leases the car for me and I can switch every 3 years or so I am still considering an I35 as my next car in a month or so.

Strength:

It''s very smooth and quiet, something I guess is standard in this kind of car. The engine is somewhat robust, although a combination of weight and what I think is an ambitious HP rating make it feel about the same speed as my 5-speed 4th gen. Maxima. Inside, there''s a lot of room (at first it seemed excessive coming from the Maxima) however, I''ve come to like it. As I said, it''s quiet...the engine barely gets louder than a muffled hum. On the road, it''s not soft-sprung, but it''s very comfortable. Bumps are muted, and wind noise is minimal. It''s more satisfying to be a passenger in this kind of car. The big leather seats support nicely, and the environment is just very relaxing.

Weakness:

Well, to start, it''s faster than anything else in its class/price range (except maybe the Acura TL Type-S), but the power seems to be wasted on such a luxury car. That, in combination with the lack of an manumatic option (die-hard stick drivers go through withdrawal) and a comfortable, reassuring, but far from exciting ride make this car very un-fun. Again, this car isn''t supposed to be fun I guess, but it would be nice if it were.

The I35 is a good luxury car, but it leaves performance hungry drivers (like me) a little starved. The quiet, posh ride is very luxurious and inspires a feeling of relaxation...however, the feeling I prefer when driving is one of tension and excitement. This car failed to evoke that feeling.

Strength:

Overall design, power, comfort ride, and the stereo.

Weakness:

Well, I was rear ended a few months ago by a Lexus that didnt get a scratch on it. My I30 had to have the entire trunk and rear quarter panels replaced and the damage was $8,300. The other maniacs insurance paid for it, and I was told by the repair place that this car did what it was supposed to. Apparantly there was no Frame damage, but the shell of the car isnt that tough.

Had my I30 just over 3 years. I bought it from dealer with 36k on it and it now has 95k on it. This car is by far the best car I have ever owned. It''s fun, powerful, sharp looking, and the standard Bose stereo sounds awesome!

Strength:

Powerful engine, comfort, standard features, competitive price, silky smooth ride, good MPG, nice dealership experience, I find on this car a good balance between performance/quality/price.

Weakness:

SUPER-Old look, fit & finish with a average felling, make no impresion - "no name" car, "fragille" sensation when slaming the doors/trunk/hood, dash design could use some improvement, "cheap" electronic numbers on the dash for climate control, CD, clock, not a single sport ideea in the whole interior/exterior design, outside look is like 1990 japanise average familly sedan, sutch a sport engine in a old boddy!

I belive is a decent car, with a decent price, lots of standard extras, a good family size sedan with a sport soul. But in my opinion, is still far from luxury. Especialy when payng attention to details, fit&finish, stuff like that. But I still prefer it in place of Lexus300, Acura 3.2TL, they are the first rivals. I trade mine for a real german sedan, but I had oi pay extra. I will never going to buy it again, but I belive is a good car, better than many out there..

I recently totaled my beloved fixed up ''94 Probe GT. I wanted a car that would be cheap, reliable, elegant and fast. I originally wanted a used Maxima SE but realized that a used Infiniti I3o was similiarly priced. So after a few weeks searching, I found my new project...a sweet, clean ''96 white I30t with 58k miles for just $12,200. In my opinion, it''s a great bargain that you can''t beat for the price.

Strength:

Quiet interior, excellent factory stereo, comfortable leather seats, great handling for a sedan, powerful engine, good subtle styling outside and in, roomy interior, alot of gadgets found only in more expensive luxury cars.

Weakness:

The placement of the cupholders is a joke.

I wanted to look for a cheap, used, reliable car and originally wanted a Maxima SE but then I noticed that the I30 was similarly priced. I had totaled a fixed up ''94 Ford Probe GT(exhaust, headers and intake) and I wanted a fast car. This I30 is faster than my previous car and more practical with four doors and a big trunk. I bought my I30t with 58k miles on it for $12,200. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.
