Strength:

One word - STUNNING. Looks, performance, style, handling, cachee. It doesn't get any better. The power unit delivers amazing torque over pretty much all of the spectrum.

Weakness:

Tight headroom for a tall guy.

$71,000 loaded. I would recomend this car to anyone that wants performance, luxury, style and heads to be turned.

Strength:

Amazing power delivery. Very smooth transmission coupled with an unbelievable plush ride for a car with the sporting characteristics of this one. This car is torque loaded and fast. Stunning exterior looks, and exceptional interior.

Weakness:

The legroom in the rear is cramped.

I paid $67k for it new and would recommend this car to anyone who loves automobiles and doesn't require an expansive back seat. This is a drivers car and will put a smile on your face everytime you fire up that wonderful supercharged V-8!! In my opnion the best Jaguar, and one of the best sports sedans ever made!!

Strength:

Amazing power (370hp)and acceleration. Absolutely no warranty problems. Interior is functionally elegant, exterior is racing sedan- 18in wheels, limited chrome trim.

Weakness:

Gas mileage, but expected with a supercharger.

$68,000. I would recommend highly. There are only 1000 of them exported to USA each year so inexpensive for such a rare car.

Looks and drives like a million. Great power, smooth, quiet ride, quality all around. Extremely reliable.

Weakness:

Not much off the shelf products available, dealer prices are high. Value hurt by previous models bad reputation.

A great used car buy because car depreciates so fast. Reliable, powerful, and a great riding car. What a difference from the old jags!

Strength:

Class, heritage, style, qualty of drive and amazing gear shifting. Ride is very plush and you feel you are going somewhere. Not just a car. Feels like an experience. Car can be driven with one finger easily. Fun to drive slow. Great acceleration.

Weakness:

Rear seating is coupe style. Such a large car the seating must be enhanced for comfort. Needs rear door window blinds. Outside noise insulation must be improved. Too much dive and squat is acceptable and even fun at lower speeds but scary at higher numbers. Doesnt inspire confidence when driving fully loaded car(5 passengers with some luggage). Wind noise must be reduced if second time purchases are to be made. Aircon doesnt cool at idle rpms. When breaks are applied it feels like the pistons are going to snap. Uneven wear of tire tread, wobble at high speeds after a few thousand clicks. Company takes no responsibility in tire wear at even 10000 kms. Doesnt feel as big as it should from inside. As much as i love this car I have to change it for practical reasons.

The jag is sheer elegance on wheels. Lots of great wood and the best scented leather compared to other cars in its class along with the regal interior retain the contemporary classic status. It is a Joy to drive. The Engine actually purrs and the transmission is as smooth as silk, as is the suspension. Unfortunately, wind noise is uncomfortable above 100kph, and serious driving could impart a feeling of literally blowing away. Still, to an extent this is compensated by the Oozing of old world charm and appeal which only other british cars at much higher prices can offer. Contrary to belief this car is not to be cheuffer driven with practicality as the rear seating is the worst in its class by far. Leg space does not make up for coupe size rear seats. I find this car is suitable to be driven like a coupe, because it feels like one, low, sleek and not spacious. Although i rate it at 5 stars on value, I would not buy it again except in super v 8 format with the rear bucket seats. But then the price is almost double and the value is in question.

British cars are diferent. A cut above the rest. If it had the room of an s class, the assurance of a BMW at high speeds and the cabin insulation of a Lexus I would not trade this car for anything. The only car that looks like a purebred descendent worthy of its predessors. Other cars seem to have lost their identity.

Strength:

superlative quality inside and out
superb ride and drive
quiet, smooooooooth, and powerful (like a big cat)
unique, fresh, and yet classic head-turning looks
design, build, and invulnerable feel
amazes "fellow" motorists
super modern mechanicals and V8 engine

Weakness:

Sometimes a lack of road feel, I rented this car for 5 days and put about 1500 miles on it during March. When I drove this vehicle from Denver to Omaha we ran into some freezing rain. Although the Jaguar felt positively safe, sometimes I wondered how my tires' traction was doing while cruising at 85.

This car is luxury moving. You don't drive this vehicle in the conventional sense, you more like move through space (and not much time due to its speed). It's a whole new plane of getting from A to B. Things you would be thinking about when driving other vehicles simply don't trifle the Jaguar driver. However, when you send it through a nice high speed bend this Jaguar really grips and rockets through. The engine noise (when pushed) sounds thoroughbred- not raucous but like an aluminum hand in a connolly glove. This car satisfies whatever you feel like experiencing at the moment. Rented it from DIA Hertz. Good way to get renters hooked on Jags...

Strength:

performance, ride, interior room, and not everyone has a big cat.

Weakness:

trunk space

unbelieveable ride, performance and comfort. when you pull up in this big cat, watch the heads turn. i do not think i will ever buy, mercedes, lexus, or bmw. this car will move with the best of them at 290 hp. lots of room in the back seat for three full size adults. the servicing is every 10,000 which is excellent. the dealer bends over backwards to see that everything is fine. loaner car also. i had a 95 xj6 vdp, but the head room and back seat were not good. i looked at the q45 and 740il, but my heart was into the big cat. my wife likes it because it seems everyone has a bimmer, lexus or mercedes and she feels exclusive to have the big cat that will scat.

no comparison. the big cat beats them all. the wind noise has been curred with the 1998 models and above. excellent auto and the jag is the one to get.

Finish and speed, over taking ummpf!!!

Weakness:

Small boot(trunk) and major use of tyres. Im changing to Michelins next time

I have owned 3 previous Jags and this is the finest made. I have had no problems with it and the dealer service has been second to none. It is a very exciting car and I only hope that the new model in 2003? is not made much larger. This car is ideal for the successful businessman as it is not ostentacious yet very elegant. I find my clients appreciate my taste in cars and it creats the right image from day 1.It is also what is called a sleeper the cops dont realise how fast it is!!!

Similar Products Used:

I compared to BMW and Mercedes neither have the grace or pace of a Jag. The interior finish is only comparible to a Bentley or Rolls
