Strength:

Very quiet some times have to rev engine see if it is running. handles very well, has VERY good power, Caddies may have more power but the Lincoln is no slouch. Confortable, most confortable car I have ever driven or riden in. Plenty of room for 5 folks and big guys.

Weakness:

$45,000 MSRP car should come with a CD player! come on FOMOCO. The Speedometer is too easy for the passenger to read I hate listing to my wife complain "do you relize you hit a 100 mph passing that truck!" Computer cuts engine out too slow (IMHO). need full size spare standard. With huge truck need GPS to locate some items.

This the Second Town Car I have driven a lot. I love this car every time I have to make a trip. I only use it for road trips. I get 21 MPG at 80mph to cruising at 65-70 24 mpg. Why any one would drive a "econo box" that gets mid to upper 20's mpg is beyond me when you ride in comfort and ease and get 22-25 mpg. Both Town cars had few problems the current a couple of engine sensors replaced under warrentty. I can make 2-4 hour trip and get out of the car like I just got in the car 30 minutes ago. You can load up the family and plenty of gear and not even notice it. The fellow that had a car rental agency for 10 years rnet Town cars and took delight in the dedicated Caddy owners who after driving a Town Car for a few days would come back with their new Town Car a few weeks later.

Engine, room and comfort.

Weakness:

Roadholding. At the wheel it seems it's designed for roads with no bends. Cheap fake briar.

Comfortable luxury sedan. I've had one on rental in summer of 2000, traveling a lot on vacation.Great engine and very smooth ride. A lot of room in front and rear seats and in the trunk.

Strength:

reliable dependable, graet mileage, quiet and luxurious.

Weakness:

typical ford/merc problems. electric window motors are weak and coded keys are a bit pricey.

Traded a chevy silverado ext cab for this. the wife saw this town car and fell in love. it had 30k on it and was still under factory warranty. this is a great ride and gets really great gas mileage in town or hiway. the only thing i have done to it was normal maintenance. drives great rides great, all around a good value. even though the linco;n depreciates fast, it doesnt matter as i intend to keep my luxo-yacht till the wheels fall off. we have a 93 crown vic with 160k on it and it srill is a fine ride too. the wife and i are still young and do not see the lincoln as a granma mobile. luxury dependibility and comfort, thats what it's all about!

Strength:

handles great, thos stiffer than reg TC's, just turn off the OD and jet around those rush hour fast lane sunday drivers,,,, smooth, powerful, luxurious and whisper quiet, still gets 21MPG and higher on trips, no complaints about the MPG here

Weakness:

front doors a tad short. for a 6-5" driver to get in and out of easily...but since I drive an hour thru traffic twice a day to work/back,,,it's not too bad

this is the rare "touring sedan" option, factory duals, 220 HP, special torque converter, stiffer suspension, special wheels and totally BLACK, not even the chrome beltline on the bumpers. it's black too, oh and I had the windows tinted too...special factory interior trim w/leather..oh and sun-roof too!

Strength:

The smoothest and most comfortable car in the world.

Weakness:

Gas mileage. I was hoping it would do better.

For months I was going to buy a truck. But if you have owned one...not a smoothe ride, total gas hog, and uncomfortalbe to drive. So, I purchased a Lincoln Towncar. It is great! The ride is smoohte and is definatly comfortable...the children enjoy it to. I made the right decision!
