Very roomy, solid, fast

Long dealer service, interior not worthy to be on a 120,000 luxury car, PRICE

I took a ride in my friend's 1993 Mercedes 500SEL that he bought new for $120,000 (CDN)!!! The car rode very nice, and it felt very solid. The performance was also impressive for such a large car. However, the engine wasn't much quieter or smoother than our 2000 Toyota Camry V6 (and the Mercedes is 4 times the price). Also, the interior is very teutonic, and the plastics are very hard. A few weeks after I rode in the car, it went in to the shop because the air conditioning went. It's been over 3 weeks and the car still isn't back from the shop. I have heard about dealer service problems from Mercedes, and I do not doubt them. The rear is EXTREMELY roomy, but not that much different from a Chrsyler Concorde. There are also too many useless features on this car (power door closers, etc.....)

The Look is what i like the most about this babe.. so slick and solid.
Also its so great for traveling long distances. you dont feel the road whatsoever!

I would say our local dealer here is the worst part of this deal.

As i mentioned, It looks great and feels great too!

Nice comfortable ride for my boss Tony. Trunk room is great but not as great as the previous generation 600 SEL. My crew and I can only fit 1 dead body instead of 2. I have the run flat tires for those times that the rival family is trying to whack us with their machine guns. Also, the vented seats are great but they should also have a vacuum. You know, for those silent but deadly pass-gas sessions.

The run-flat tires do not stop hand grenades and for this kinda chump change it should really come with an automatic undercar bomb sensor built into the remote keyfob. You know, for that little extra protection. I also would have liked for them to build a machine gun on the front bumper that would aim at the other cars through the three pointed star. I think that it is a great feature that should come standard on the s600 armored vehicle. I mean,how else am I going to shoot at the bad guys if the window is rolled all the way up. If I roll it down, isn't it obvious to you that I'm compromising my safety? Also, for a guy with a 3rd grade ejecation like me the Command system is overly complicated. Also, the car doesn't come with plastic seat covers. So we use aftermarket plastic covers for those times that we need to whack a snitch.

Comfortable ride, great comfortable seats very nice massaging feature in the seats and great sound system and love the engine, delives power when needed but softness when on the highway.

The Car is amazing, the most comfortable automobile in the world, in my opinon the most classy looking in the world. Its all you could want in a car, power, performance and luxury. Lots of space in the back and you just enjoy driving it. I love this car, even though it was a large sum of money it was well worth it. I love my car!

Ride is alittle too smooth. Driver feedback is non existent. Over complex dash (how many buttons are in this thing?)

Ok let me first say i wasn't expecting to be laughing my ass off reading a car review. Hey Veronica Lawler, if you dont want your S500 I'll gladly take it, I wish my dad would give me his. But seriously this is indeed a big car and that is a good thing. This is the ultimate Status Mobile and that's why people buy it. It is almost perfect in every way, except (and it might sound strange) the ride is toooo smooth. there is no driver feed back. You could literally fall asleep driving this thing its so comfortable. Definetly get the sport package if you want to have fun with it. Another problem is the nav system/center console. This thing is the opposite of user friendly. The mirrad of little buttons everywhere will overwhelm any frist time driver of this car. MB needs to update to a DVD based system like Acura. Changing discs for different regions of the same state? puh-lease. The stereo system is top notch... except you can't play CDS in it!!! the drive only reads cd-roms for the nav system unless you upgrade to the cd changer. right...

Besides these downsides this car is like no other, and you will indeed feel like you are better than everyone else in it.

Ok now my parents bought this car for my brother but he moved away ( surprise!) Then they gave it to me ( ew no ) Ok I dont like this car because its HUGE! Why do I need all this space for? And I feel like a pimp driving this thing around school Well anyways its huge and plus when I feel like going fast I get soo scared BECAUSE ITS HUGE Im scared that if i go to fast i'll loose control Well thats not all the car is HUGE Im sorry but I dont need all this space and plus my friends think i should give the car back BUT My parents think that its a "safe" car for me ( PICTURE THIS A 18 year old student driving a huge S500 to the High School PLEASEEEEEEE Ew no I dont park in the student parking lot because I cant fit all the car in the spot ( i dont want some one to hit it because my dad would kill me ) Well everything is great in the car but its too big for me and plus i feel some times i could just live in it because its so big Oh yeah the money for gas I DONT WANT TO EVEN GO THERE!

Its a big car and its very comfortable some times i feel like sleeping but this car isnt my taste !

this car is just a great car. its a classic design that lasted so long and so successful(starting in yr. 92) the car has a very luxurious look and amazing engine thats perfect. recommend this car to anyone who wants a nice luxury car.

tremendously comfortable car to drive and ride in Have driven back and forth to North Carolina twice (9 1/2 hours) and feel great afterwards great excelleration and cruises on the highway effortlessly very good mileage on highway (26-27) Bose stereo sounds wonderful car handles like a dream and just spoils you you'll never want to ride in anything else back seat room is neverending it seems as big as my first apartment I think it looks great as well

let's face it, the whole navigation system and stereo control apparatus is a giant screw up how can this much money not buy you a cd player in the dash? I wouldn't even think about spending the money for the trunk cd player

for pure driving comfort I would definitely recommend this car
