Strength:
Great styling, ergonomic functionality, efficient engine and air con system.
Weakness:
Mercedes fit and finish quality for the W220 has dropped behind the W140. Plastics are cheap and switch gear could be better. Some are tacky and watch out for lousy shut lines and poor door alignment. Having owned the past 3 generations of S Class, this has to be the best yet. Super air suspension and ride even on 18 inch AMG rims and 245 x 45 Bridgestone S-03 Pole tires (super dry or wet). Incredible pickup and great tiptronic gear changes. Speed Comfort Everything Electronic Gadgets

Its BIG! But that gives masses of space. The Mercedes Benz S-Class 400 What can I say. I have never driven anything like it. In S mode you are pushed back in the seat as it pulls away. Great acceleration for a big car. Quiet, comfortable, handles great in the stiff suspension mode.
Weakness:

quiet and powerful. Good handling.
Weakness:
Fluid suspension had to be replaced every 10,000 miles or so. Accumulator was always the problem. Gets 15-16MPG. Wire harness burnt out and dealer needed $15,000! to fix. Independent shops won''t touch it. The car was auctioned off by the bank . Previous owner could not make payments. Had 80,000 miles when bought . The car ran well after a major maintenance service($1,500) Similar Products Used: 1983 MBZ 380 SEC bought brand new. Transmission was jittery and finally quit at 90,000 miles.Single Time chain broke and caused $6,000 damage. Numerous small mechnical problems. This model year is |

Awesome interior, great performance rivaling any on earth in this size category, absolutely stunning build quality, looks, sophistication... it''s a Mercedes.
Weakness:
The dealer was an enormous hassle! You have to read your manual for about 5 min to master the COMMAND system. The best car I''ve ever had, bar none!!! If I could have given it a 6, I would have! The thing I noticed at first drive was the awesome speed and cornering of this car. With the sport package, it is equal to a BMW 750 without a doubt. The body roll is eliminated (unlike Lexus) when cornering. It''s stable at very high speeds unlike little Honda racecars and stuff like that. Build quality is usual German. I don''t understand the people that say there car breaks all the time. It must be that they drive them off cliffs and stuff because I''ve owned 5 Mercedes'' now and 2 of them went past 500k miles without any repairs. The other three went 280K miles before I sold them without repairs either. I''m sure this will do the same. The interior of this car is amazing. It has all the gadgets you could ever want and even some you didn''t know existed. The COMMAND system is a bit over complicated but when you spend a $100 thousand on a car, you would think a normal dumbass would just pull out the manual and find out how it works. But rather they complain that they can''t get it on the first try. If you want a navigation system, get a Lexus LS430. If you want a kik azz driving machine, buy a Mercedes. FAST! Real fast. Excellent handling. Totally responsive. Complete luxury. I can''t believe this thing. Finally, an affair that''s legal!

Manual - I''ve been training on this thing every week since I bought it! Always something to learn about these cars. But it''s worth it You''ve got to be kidding me! I can''t believe I waited this long to own something this unbelievable. Yeah, Lexus was a nice ride. No question. But on a whim, I tried a Benz, and man, let me tell you, it was night and day! There isn''t even a close second to these cars. Why can''t we make something this fantastic? People literally clear my path when they see this car coming. And don''t complain about the extra cash, amigo. You''ll never miss it. ''Course you can cut back on your double-foam fat free caps. My friend rolled his Benz to avoid hitting a salt truck near Vegas with his family in it. Everyone walked away. How much was that worth? This car has the performance of a V-12 but yet it has the ride of one of the greatest luxury cars in the world. THe perfect blend of power and beauty.
Weakness:
Gas Mileage This car is truely not like any other car in the world. Mercades really knew what they were doing when they built this car. Nothing this car has everything anyone could want. This Car is at the top of my list for everything. Styling of a top of the line luxury Car, Performance of a Dodge Viper is nothing short of amazing, and the electronics of a full office are the best offered and the interior is a lot better than most homes.
