Strength:

looks anononymous, runs well, great intirios, great sound system, comfortable.

Weakness:

Air condition!!!, reasle value. petrol consumption

First, do not be astonished by the price: We pay 100% taxes on cars, and prices are accordingly...
However, SAAB gas a trrible reputaion in Israel. Thats why I maged to buy a 2 year old car, with 45K miles including leather and sunroof for no less than 40% the price of a new 2001 model...
I like the car. It runs although I had been twice in for repairs, one of them was a recall.

The reason I am here is to ask those of you from hot areas if they are satisfied with the air-condion of this car. I think it stinks!!! too weak and too noisy, especially if one engages the internal air circulation option.

If the car parke outside on a hot and humid day, the aircondition can hardly do the job, even after 30 minutes. Please respond

Strength:

Stereo system
Comfortable seats

Weakness:

-Squeaking and rattling in the dash/seats (I still don't know where it's coming from!)
-I had to have the panel replaced because it faded and got "milky" looking.
-The turbo takes too long to kick in.
-The drink holder is entertaining for my friends, but not practical.
-The Seat holders are slow to heat up.

I like driving this car, although the blind spot kills me. I find it hard to see over the back headrests, so I end up folding them down. The keyless remote is way too loud. I do love the stereo though.

Strength:

Lines and stereo

Weakness:

As an engineer who fell for the "engineering" approach Saab uses to sell its cars, I feel somewhat misguided. I have had several mechanical and electrical problems with the car and fixing it often takes far too long. Motor mounts have broken, lug nuts on the wheels have rusted, bulbs have gone out, steering pump has gone out, leather is too soft and deteriorates quickly, door locks have failed, rear decklid behind headrests has faded, gearbox has loosened beyond normal wear, clutch has failed (at only 27,000 miles), and the list goes on and on. I see that several others have had bad cars too. Overall, I am extremely unhappy with the car and am considering filing a suit under Florida state statuatory law.

I have had considerable problems with the car, though I like the understated lines.

Väghållning, körglädje och motor samt säten+++ DESIGN

Weakness:

Strength:

1) VERY GOOD STYLING
2) GOOD SEATS/ STEREO
3) VALUE FOR DOLLAR IF IT WAS NOT SO UNREALIBLE.
4) DEALER SERVICE IS VERY GOOD DESPITE PROBLEMS WITH CAR.

Weakness:

1) ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS.
2) RIDE QUALITY AFTER 30 MONTHS.

I HAVE LEASED THIS CAR FOR A 36 MONTH TERM OF WHICH I AM INTO THE 33RD MONTH. INITIALLY, I LOVED THIS CAR AND APPRECIATED THE DISTINCTIVE STYLING AND GOOD PERFORMANCE FROM A SPIRITED ENGINE.
ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK GOD I LEASED THIS CAR AND DID NOT BUY IT!!! THIS CAR HAS BEEN IN FOR SERVICE NUMEROUS TIMES AND SEEMS TO GET WORSE WITH EACH PASSING WEEK. THESE ARE THE PROBLEMS THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED:

1) LIGHTS ARE ALWAYS BURNING OUT, ACTUALLY EVERY MONTH, AT LEAST 1.
2) THE ENGINE HAS STALLED NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE WORST POSSIBLE LOCATIONS AND TIMES. ONE TIME IT STALLED IN THE GHETTO SECTION OF DETROIT, AT 2AM !!! WE HAD TO BE TOWED BACK TO CANADA. AFTER 3 VISITS TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY FINALLY SEEMED TO FIX THE PROBLEM, CLAIMING THAT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THEY EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM. (HA!)

JUST LAST WEEK THE ENGINE STARTED TO STALL AGAIN!

3) THE CAR RATTLES LIKE A NORTH AMERICAN CAR!
4) PAY ATTENTION TO THIS. THE CAR SHAKES AT SPEED WHILE GOING OVER SMALL BUMPS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS! THE DEALER CLAIMS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SUSPENSION. I HEARD THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE THAT THE 3 SPOKE RIMS ARE FAULTY AND ARE THE ROOT CAUSE FOR THIS PROBLEM. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED A SIMILAR PROBLEM???????

5) BRAKE DUST ARE A PAIN TO CLEAN.
6) GENERAL ELECTRICAL FLAWS. 2 BATTERIES/1 ALTERNATOR.
7) I AM TIRED OF BRINGING THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE.

Strength:

The new car smell when it was new.

Weakness:

Read "Overall Impression." This car is nothing more than a $20,000 GM product marketed as something beyond the purest sexual fantasy around.

I have read many of the reviews on this car and I seem to identify with those who have had a plethora of problems. First, my 9.5 started suffering from vibrations, rattles and squeaks at 10,000 miles. But before it even hit 10,000 it was back at Saab of Santa Ana four times. The lights failed, the automatic transmission clunked when the car was shifted into reverse, and the steering wheel seemed to shimmy and shake. The power steering pump was replaced. I definitely made a mistake purchasing this car. I now have about 16,000 miles on it and I can't get comfortable in the front seat. I reckon the steering wheel is to low on the dash or something. I am beginning to leak oil and the engine is getting louder. This is a $20,000 car, not the $34,000 I paid for it. Funny thing is, Saab of Santa Ana offered my $21,000 for it on trade in. This car is becoming unpleasant to live with and I cannot wait to convince myself that it is time to move on to something far more reliable and pleasant.

Several Mercedes-Benzes, which were much more solid. My medical partner's Audi is much more solid than this lousy Saab.
