Strength:

great mpg for a v6 four door. compfortable, seams to be reliable, good get up.

Weakness:

truck is ks gind of hard to get big suit cases in and out because of rear light design. If you have infants its a little hard to get them out of the back seat.

very nice car. Bought car with 18,000 miles on it and had not one problem with when we sold it with 68,000 miles. It's very comfortable and rides like Buick. It has plent of get up and go and the 3.0L motors are bullet proof. We got 32mpg on the highway go around 67 miles an hour. Main reason for selling was it's a little hard to get a 20lbs baby out of the center rear seat because of the curved rear door. Other than that I think it's a great car.

Strength:

Excellet design and apperance; quiet, smooth ride; superior seating comfort; excellent guages; regular grade gas

Weakness:

Mileage is ok but could be better. Beats my Toyota Highlander which takes premium fuel.

This is the most fantastic car I have ever owned exceeding my expectations in all areas: smooth, quiet, ride; excellent power; fantastic stereo; neat features like onstar, dual climate control, etc. etc.

Strength:

Adequate power (eventually), fairly comfortable seats, can probably cram six people in, lots of trunk room.

Weakness:

Gas consumption, mechanical problems, paint

Got it when it had about 73,000 miles and now has 101,000. Haven't had to do anything to it EXCEPT: Replace the radiator, alternator bearings, two serpentine belts, belt tensioner, broken engine mount (requires dropping the "K-frame"), brakes, hood support, water pump, two window motors, a turn signal switch and a tie rod end. It has idled rough since I got it and nothing helps. For most of the time the engine has made "rackety-tackety-tackety" noises when started up cold only they kept getting louder. At low speeds driving near sound-reflective surfaces you can hear loose engine parts running into each other. The A/C quit working and there's oil in the coolant. Leaks oil badly around the manifold gasket and you have to take everything off to get at it. It's a gas hog and though power is adequate there's a delay before it comes on. Also it's hard to work on. Did I mention the paint is also shot for no good reason? On the plus side, the seats are fairly comfortable, and the transmission is still in good shape. And the car's 3700 LB. weight probably saved me from serious injury when somebody plowed into it on the freeway. (And that was the end of it, a total loss. Rust in peace.) Recommended only for professional mechanics who need something to do or rich people who want to support them, or people who get in wrecks a lot.

Looks Power! Spacious interior Great handling Comfy seats Good gas milage

Weakness:

One cupholder Nothing else that I can complain about!

I absolutely love this car! It currently does not run because the transmission needs to be rebuilt. I bought this as my first car when I turned 16 and am so glad that I did. When I bought it it had 100,000 miles on it, it now has 190,000. This car is completely loaded with a black leather interior which I love! The seats are so comfortable and the interior is very spacious. I have had very few problems with this car, I have only replaced the alternator once, I had to replace the serpentine belt, but that was my fault because I got stuck in a snow bank and burnt it up trying to get out. I have only replaced the brakes twice in 90,000 miles. It surprisingly gets good gas milage for a sports car, better milage than my Malibu that I have now. I only have one complaint about this car and that is that it only have ONE cupholder in the entire car! But other than that I love this car and cannot wait to get it fixed so I can sell my Malibu and drive this again!

Looks, V6 engine, okay on gas; but my Z34 Monte Carlo was better!

Weakness:

wheel bearings, brakes, electrical problems, starter, handling, and more!

I have owned this car for about 7 months now and cannot say that I am real impressed with it. I bought it used with 42,000 miles on it and now it has 62,000 (I drive A LOT!) After I bought it I had to take it back to the dealer after about 2 weeks to have the door lock replaced and the starter looked at. Since then I have had to replace the wheel bearing and now I have to replace the wheel bearing AGAIN only 2 months later! There is something wrong with the starter, every time I start my car it makes a loud grinding noise, (which is what I took it back to the dealer for and they said they fixed, and they did not!) The air conditioner only blows on 3 or above and now the air conditioner shuts on and off by itself, which is really annoying. The sunroof rattles when open and the brakes need to be replaced after only 20,000 miles. The interior is not the most comfortable. I wish the leather seats were heated, but they are not. The stereo system is one of the better things in the car, it performs well. The glove box has a weird set up, everything falls out when you open it. My check engine light keeps coming on and going off, and they can't figure out what it wrong with it. I like that the car has four cup holders, since my last car had one! The back seats are also inconvienent to fold down because you have to unlatch them from inside the trunk first then pull them down from the back seat!

Comfortable ride, affordable, many nice features, attractive exterior.

Weakness:

Some cheap interior parts, no backseat pass-thru to trunk.

So far, we have been pleased with this car. This is the first GM product that I have owned (purchased for my wife). We bought it for about $10K, which was much cheaper than I thought an almost-new Buick with 25K miles could be had. The car has a very comfortable ride, looks great, and so far has been an excellent value. There are some cheap interior parts, such as the flimsy door panels. We have had to have about all of the electric window mechanism replaced under warranty. However, my wife loves the car. It has a lot of features that you would expect in a much more expensive car. Also, customer service at the dealership has been exemplary. I am still partial to Ford products, but this Buick might change my mind.

Strength:

Good engine. Roomy and comfortable interior. Smooth ride. Reliable.

Weakness:

A little to noisy on the highway for this class of car. Suspension a little too soft and "floaty" - a minor nit really.

I purchased this car used with 36000 miles on it; probably a lease return. Overall this is a great car that does very well at what it was designed for. For it's size the Century is roomy and comfortable. There's plenty of room up front and the 60/40 split bench seating makes it easy to adjust your seating postition on a long drive. The driver's side has a 4-way power adjustable seat. The rear has plenty of space for three children or two adults. My family of 5 has taken many long trips in this car and aside from the occasional "stop touching me" fights, the Century was plenty big enough. The dash is simple and well laid out; almost elegant. All the controls are large and easy to use. The radio is lackluster, but that's not what you are paying for frankly, and it's not that expensive to replace. The V-6 engine runs smoothly and quietly and at idle you can hardly hear it running. As you might expect it's not fast off the line, but has plenty of acceleration to get onto the highway and for passing. The gas milage on regular unleaded is acceptable. The ride is soft, really too much so as the car has a floating feeling to it. It's pretty good at soaking up the bumps and expansion joints, but it has quite a bit of body roll which is mostly noticable when doing quick lane changes or driving on curvy roads. Most of my miles are straight down the road at highway speeds so this is really more of an annoyance than anything. The only negative driving experience is that the car is noiser than it should be for this class. Too much wind noise and road noise get into the cabin. It's not deafening or anything, but it's more than a minor annoyance. The Century has been very reliable for me. There have been no major repairs and it's never failed to start and get me where I'm going, even on frigid Minnesota winter days. It has 126K miles on the odometer right now and I can honestly say that the maintenance costs have been lower than what I had hoped for. Part of that is no doubt due to the fact that I keep up on the regular maintenance, use synthetic oil, and don't drive it hard. Even so you have to be happy when you get that many miles and years on the original exhaust and suspension. In summary I've been very happy with this car. It has performed beyond expectations for the most part and has been a good value. I look forward to getting another 50,000 to 70,000 miles out of it.
