Loved the car ever since i have bought it. Nice and comfortable, and roomy on the inside. Every available option on it, except leather. Awesome acceleration. With the 3800, it with burn rubber like no other. Have done many modifications on it. Ported and polished the head, custom dual straight exhaust, ported throttle body, custom ram air induction, and many others. And also got a super charger on it. It has been dynoed at 279 hp.

Strength:

Great handling and gas mileage-21-27MPG. The looks are very sleek and sexy.
Repairs have been minimal. It is just a fun car to drive.

Weakness:

The only DOWN side is the lack of chrome trim. When I was looking, the limited series was harder to find and what I DID find wasn't in real good shape. This one was available, the mileage was right, the condition was excellent, and the price wasn't that bad. Another thing was the velour seats. That's why I had leather seat covers put on the front seats. You just can't slide in and out on velour. Since I use a wheelchair, the leather made it easier getting in and out.

In short, I LOVE my car. When I bought it in March of last year it had only 28,000 miles. I told my dad that it was either in the shop more than it was on the road or it was very well taken care of. I think the latter explanation fits best. I used to own a Cutlass Supreme Coupe and trust me.
There is NO COMPARISON. In the 17 months I have had the car I have put less
than $600.00 in maintenance and repairs. Most of the money I HAVE spent has gone toward accessories to "dress it up" a bit like new custom leather seat covers and ventshades for the windows. With my Cutlass I spent that much the first month! Tranny, struts, brakes, rotors, and tires.

Model Reviewed: Regal GS

Strength:

Car looks sporty and engine gets up and goes.

Weakness:

Have spent too much time in the shop. Currently engine has 51,000 miles on it and has the #5 cylinder rod bearing failing. Will need as a minimum a new crankshaft. May need a whole new engine. Will see if GM backs their products even if they are out of warranty. This could cost me a fortune. Have already had numerous oil pan gaskets replaced and a new rear main seal installed.

Have had numerous problems with this vehicle. Dealer has been very helpful to this point. With power steering fluid leaks, door panels falling off, power window switches having to be replaced, oil pan gasket leaks and the possible need for a new engine at 51,000 miles I wouldn't buy another Buick Regal. So fed up that I may never buy another GM product.
