Strength:

My cavalier has wonderful get up and go ability.

Weakness:

Besides the ticking, things inside the car have been breaking or falling off. Including the seat belt hooks and radio speakers.

I have a 1999 green Chevy Cavalier. I love the sporty look it has because that's the reason I bought it. After buying the vehicle I found out that it makes a awful ticking sound when the engine is running. I took it back to the garage where they told me that all cavaliers with the make and model of mine tick like that and cannot be fixed.

Plastic wrapped in cloth Head gasket leaking Engines noisy Resale value blows $965 trade in value???

This was my girlfriends car untill we started dating then I started using it for work(105 miles RT). I have about 107k on it now and it squeaks, has rattles, and pieces are falling off. I expected this and if you think that a brand new $12k car is a good buy your smoking something strong. It's a throw away car. I've replaced the ignition modual, both coils, and the temp senser, so overall it's been pretty good.

Strength:

good gas milage, smooth ride, dependable

Weakness:

uncomfortable seats, small trunk, bad head gaskets, not enough leg room, temperature gage is on the high end (that's considered normal for cavaliers)you start to worry sometimes.

I bought my car when it had 33,000 miles. 3,000 later, the head gasket went out. That was replaced under warranty. But other than that, It's been a really good car and I haven't had to put any extra money into it other than normal maintenance.

Strong little engine. It has a very sporty feel, and never requires more than an oil change! Roomy front seat for all 6'2"'s of me!

Weakness:

I should have bought a nicer stereo. I can fix that though.

Bought it as a commuter car. I get great gas mileage and haven't had to do any maintenance on it. I do have to change the brakes (first time in 60,000 miles). I get 36 MPG and have the 2.4L. It's quick, and the convertable is great. I just wish I had baught the upgrade stereo. This car is very reliable and I drive it with no worries. It has even turned into my long travel car for trips across the country (I just laugh passing all the sport ute's at the gas stations!)

Great Gas Mileage, good body style

Weakness:

electrical issues, loud on freeways

My first cavalier was a '99 and it was wonderful!! I loved it. I had to trade it in for a 4 dr. though so I went with another cavalier. I now have a 2003 and it is having electrical issues. I took it in and they said I was the second person in a week to bring this car in for stalling. That does not make me happy as I'm getting ready to have a baby and thats why I got the 4 dr!!!! Car dealership basically say "wierd gliches happen sometimes" hmmmmm

i think cavaliers are awful cars. they are extremely poorly made. They have terrible electrical problems and I have already had 4 recalls on it. It is just a crappy car and i would not suggest to anyone to get it. It would be a waste of money. My car when i got it was 5,000 and it should have been 2,500. It's crap and has given me soo many troubles and i have had to pay over 1000 in car troubles with it.

Weakness:

Brakes and I wish it was a little bigger in side with a more powerful engine

I like my cavalier alot.I have never had a serious problem with it. I do agree though that the brakes are really crappy and are the bane of my existance. But other than that its a great car I put 85000 miles on it and can say I definatly got my money worth

Good name car, good design, good gas mileage, easy to maneuver and drive. Comfy seats

Weakness:

BAD brakes, a little small, needs to have constant attention to little interior issues, difficulty changing in to first and second gears hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Basically I like the car. It doesn't even close to compare to a Honda. I probably won't buy another one but I am quite satisfied with mine at this point.

I Hate my car it SUCKS!! NO MORE Cavaliers or GM products. I brought it brand new just because it was cheap. The car died on the road twice on the road the day I bought it. They said "weird things happen once in a while". 5 recalls already. I have had so many problems but I still don't want to sell it because it only worth $4000 now. NO MORE AMERICAN CARS!!!
