FRONT WHEEL DRIVE ( sucks) I bought one of the very last Z24 cavaliers. It is black, with air dam, rear fin, Z24 specific 16 in. tires, level 2 suspension, cd player with amplified sub-woofer,5 speed manual tranny, 2.4 liter motor at 160 hp (feels a lot stronger). Here is the best part. List on car was 16,500. Chevy gave me 2500.00 off the top. Another 3500.00 from my GMAC card. I financed 13,000.00 for 60 months. MY PAYMENT ON THIS BAD BOY ? 250.00 PER MONTH. Iam smilling every day I drive it. Its fast, Looks MUCH more expensive then it is, handles great, and the cd-system ROCKS !!!!!! Similar Products Used: None |

Looks. Could use more aftermarket exterior parts though.
Weakness:
One word, Interior. Engine (quad 4) is not greatest. Nice car. Looks good, needs more space in engine compartment. Only problems I have had is internal. Interior needs work. New cavaliers interior (dash) different, but not much change. I agree with others, looks good with blackouts all over, or clear corners, bumper lights, and tails. Similar Products Used: none |

Everything except the engine Although i already got rid of this car, the only problems i had with it was the build quality. First of all, the cloth on the roof fell of entirely and had to staple it back together. Also, the rear seat had a needle/metal wire petruding out of it, the engine ran strong. But everything else just fell apart. Similar Products Used: None |

Chevrolet Cavalier 2-door coup
Strength:
nice look, inexpensive--good first car, great gas mileage, nice bells and whistles that cost a whole lot more on other cars. Has a solid feel to it.
Weakness:
4 cy engine can sound a little rough and sound is a little tinney, but hardly worth mentioning. Blind spot if you are shorter. I bought this car for my daughter who was shocked beyond belief since she had been told she was NOT getting a car, but with the rebates and good financing, now was the time. She loves the car and it is a perfect car for her to drive. It gets great gas mileage and while I have a Malibu with 6 cy....her''s has 4 and the difference is noticeable. The car came with ABS, CD player and keyless remote entry... I feel she is safe driving her Cavalier to school. The car handles well on the expressway and is fairly smooth for her to drive. The sound system is good for this vehicle and one item the car has that I like besides the keyless entry is that when the car is turned off, the inside lights and sound system do not turn off until the door is opened. It has accessory plug ins, for mobile phones and nice upholstery. She will have this car for college and believe me, with that kind of great gas mileage, we will be taking this car on our road trips to look at schools. We are in love!!!! Ford Explorer Limited Edition
Strength:
- sound system - parts availability and price - the weight keeps it on the road through mud and snow - very comfortable - decent sightlines and acceleration (mine was the V6 variety)
Weakness:
- gas mileage (typical of 4x4''s: mileage better than the v8 models I bought this more than a year ago for about 17,000 Canadian and have been greatly impressed with it ever since. I''ve had no serious problems in spite of it''s prior experience of running into a moose near Smithers. While I''ve seen long discussion lists about problem Explorers, I have no experience to not recommend an Explorer to other buyers. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Nice Body Styling, nice stereos, greatest feature of the car are the nice sporty looking tires
Weakness:
Just about everything else! Bought the car July this year. Got suckered into the deal, sales lady told me that I should make my decision quick, because the low financing was only going to last for another 2 days, it is now end of November andthe low financing is still there! Sure it may be a great deal for it''s dollar, but the car has been nothing but porblems. I have had it for 4 months and I have already been back at the dealership 5 different times for different (mainly)cosmetic and (some) mechanical problems. This past weekend I noticed that the side paneling on the passenger door is coming off, so I guess I''ll be going there again pretty soon. The dealership that I bought it from have really bad after sales relations with their customers. I am stuck with this car, because the resale value on this car is horrible, and I don''t want to lose 6,000 in like 4 months, so I better keep it a little while longer. And as soon as I can, I will get another car. Definitely not a Cavalier and definitely not at MEWS CHEV OLDS in Orleans. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
The cavalier held up very well considering the force that it was hit with. Being hit at 65 or 70 miles per hour and getting squished between 2 cars, one would think that a car would fold up like an accordion and trap the driver, but it didn''t.
Weakness:
It was made to be a strong car, and saved my life. I can''t think of any weaknesses. I got my cavalier last year at the end of December, and i always liked it... I liked the way it drove, I liked the way it looked, but I never liked it more than I did last wednesday. I was driving home from San Francisco on the freeway, and the traffic slowed and stopped right when I got into Santa Rosa. I stopped behind a large suburban and then looked in my rear view mirror and realized that the person behind me was not slowing down. I don''t think she ever realized that the traffic stopped because she plowed into me at 65 mph. After she hit me, I hit the suburban in front of me, and then spun out and I believe I hit the cement divider. I''m pretty sure the car is unsavable, but I was able to walk away from the accident with some whiplash, bruises and soreness. People who saw the accident said that they couldn''t believe I walked away from it. Similar Products Used: None |

2.2 Liter Coupe Auto
Strength:
Dependable (but make sure you don''t get one that was made in Mexico. Get one that was made at the Lordstown assembly in Ohio), big interior, good handling, low wind noise, very smooth riding at 80 mph, comfortable seats, rear seat folds down, best styling in it''s class and other classes as well :), a/c is good, heat is real good (watch out or you''ll get cooked!), and lack of weaknesses.
Weakness:
Dash sometimes makes noise when the interior of the car is below freezing, doors froze shut twice last winter but I still got open each time (locks always work great, just that the door was frozen to the body), that''s all I can think of. Great car. Me and my car have become one. I love it so much for numerous reasons. I think it''s one of the best looking cars on the road (Ultra Silver Metallic). I spent $1400 in upgrades to this car, including new 16" rims, new tires to fit rims, new stereo deck and new door speakers. This is a great car to mod, and the aftermarket on this car is big. I''ve had this car for a year and a half, and there has been absolutly no problems. The car has 9,000 miles on it, and I get the oil changed every 2,000 miles (which is every 4 months for so). So I''m getting the feeling that I''ll be able to drive this car for a very long time (which would be nice since when I bought the car I paid the whole bill right at the dealer, so no car payments :). Acceleration is impressive when it''s warm but slow when it''s cold, and the car is very comfortable on highway trips. I drove from Chicago to Boston in one day just fine (3:00 AM - 7:00 PM). Yeah, even the seats are good. Gas milage is about average and for me that means half a tank per week, which is about $10-12. For a small car the interior is huge. I''m 6''2" and I''m very comfortable in this car. Since I''ve owned this car, I don''t go around thinking "man I wish I had that car or this car". I''m happy :) People have to realize that this is a compact economic vehicle. It''s not going to have V-8 power or a fancy leather interior. Personally I don''t think all that is needed, as this car suits me just fine. If this car seems cheap, go buy a luxury vehicle. If you''re looking at getting a 2002 Cavalier, I hear that the new ecotech engine is real nice. Ask your dealer about it. Initial accelleration (1st gear ) could be improved. This car is simply great!! I bought the base model and have customized the body and engine to my performance and esthetic needs. I''m quite pleased with the engine performance (2.2l - 120HP). I''m planning to add an cold air intake system as well as new performance exhaust. I must say I''m quite impressed with quality of the tires provided!! I''m still going on original tires and I''m just about to cross over the 60,000 miles !!!! Great car! Highly recommended! Strength:
Options, price, LOOKS GREAT, Loads of body-engine after market parts that void warranty.
Weakness:
For a car that handles as well as the Z24 it is in desperate need for seats that hug. Could use a turbo as well. I have had it two weeks now, driven it almost 1500 miles and have no complaints. It''s a quick car and has Tons of upgrades, kinda wish I had gotten it in manual, but when in play shifts at good range. I actually expected alot less from this car but I am extremely pleased.
