Strength:

good on gas.decent stock stereo. good financing

Weakness:

the steering wheel started clunking after about a year. which was covered under warranty.my trunk latch broke. It jaust came disconnected somewhere along the line, but that was covered under warranty as well.

I bought it because it was the newest, cheapest, low gas mileage I could afford. And it was decent looking. kind of sporty like.

Strength:

Great design. Very safe. roomy interior. good pick up speed. Inexpensive

Weakness:

I can''t think of one bad thing

My friend purchased this car. It looks great. Feel''s great. Has lots of room and a bit of get up and go. Also very Safe! Last summer we totaled the car. We accidentally plowed through a red light coming around a bend at 60mph. diddn''t see it coming We T-Boned a honda Civic and slid 100 feet into on coming traffic hitting 2 other cars. When it was all done my friend and I walked away with bruises from the seatbelt and airbags. luckily no one was hurt. Looking back at pic''s from that accident I realized that car saved my life! I would recomend it to anyone. In fact I am heading out today to buy one.

Strength:

styling, gas mileage on highway very good (despite a/c), comfortable on long trips and reliable a-b transportation. i have driven car in canadian winters and in the southern arizona/ nevada desert. performs well under varied conditions.

Weakness:

flimsy bumpers and interior finish. not as ''prestigious'' as comparable cars such as acura integra, vw golf

reliable car with good gas mileage and somewhat sporty styling. apart from oil changes, rotating tires and weekly wash maintenance has been very minimal.

After I reach the speed of 50 mph, the engine sounds loud (like there is a loud harley next to your car).

Strength:

A sharp looking car, gadgets like keyless entry, power moonroof. I loved the car to look at, unfortunately it was a mechanical nightmare!

Weakness:

Completely unreliable, several annoying rattles and squeaks, very hard on gas, rides very rough, terrible in snow, persistent irregular engine noises, terrible re-sale value, small inside

I bought this car because I always loved Cavaliers and my old Corsica was in the shop at least twice a week. Turns out this was no better. Two days after I got it, it went back for a noise in the engine (which the dealer said was a "gummy" belt)which never went away. Then a few months later it would mysteriously stall from time to time, which was thought to be a problem covered by a recall, but no such luck. After a new engine noise resulted in diagnoses ranging from a bad timing belt to worn bearnings in the air conditioner, I decided it was time for it to go. Which was the final insult...After a year and a half, I estimated a loss of $10,000. When I sold it I was lucky just to break even on my car loan despite making a huge initial downpayment. Pretty expensive year and a half! At least when I got rid of my Corsica I got $2500 bucks out of it!

Strength:

5 speed, moon roof

Weakness:

no cruise control or tilt no power windows either

Mine is a five speed with a spoiler, bra, and head light covers and blackouts so it is pretty quick when it comes to the first two gears and it looks alright. I havn''t had many problems except for the brakes and the clutch. All in all it is a really good car.

Strength:

I have it loaded so I have all the different buttons to play with.

Weakness:

I just had one problem with it when i left the dealership on the test drive it blew a fuse so none of the blinkers, brake lights etc. worked.. they fixed it no problem

I love this car. I will not buy any other car. The 2002 Z24 is being discontinued but i still love this car. Nothing major has gone wrong on it like my 2000 cavy. I''ve raced a few times in this car it has a larger engine than the original coupe/sedan so i can beat other cavy''s when i race as well as other cars. I raced my brother in his CAMARO pretty darn close to beating him. Only redlined it once, didnt give me any problems. I love the way it runs after you rev it up. Races Beautifully :) Couldnt ask for more.

Strength:

Price, nice appearance, reliability

Weakness:

Plastic bumpers, cheap interior materials, crash test ratings

I bought this car in high school because I thought it would be a good investment, since I needed a car that would last me at the very least until I graduated college. My car is the base four-door sedan. I have automatic transmission, ABS, air, cruise control, and folding rear seats. However, I don''t have power doors or locks, but that''s never been very important to me. I have not been disappointed by my Cavalier. It has held up remarkably well. I have never had a major (or minor) problem with the car, and I have never had it break down on me. I have had the following work done on the car: 1. New tires (1998) 2. New battery (2000) 3. New front rotors (2000) 4. New serpentine belt (2001) 5. Regular oil changes So, basically, I''ve only had regular maintenance done. My only problems with this car are the tacky plastic bumpers...they dent really easily. Also, some of the plastic in the interior has fallen apart, but it''s nothing that you can''t fix on your own. Finally, the car doesn''t do so great in those side-impact collision crash tests done by the government. All in all, this is a great car value. I love that air conditioning and ABS are standard, because with Hondas and Toyotas, most notably, you have to spend thousands more for these options. My cavalier is still going strong, and I''m hoping we''ll have several more years together of driving bliss.

Weakness:

not really a weakness but the black paint is really hard to take care of. should have gottena diferent color.

overall this car is awesome. It is one of the few vehicles that the anti-lock brakes actually work in and don''t make some god awfull noise doing it. I am very happy with the vehicle and the dealer we purchased it from. I will definately buy another one when the time comes.
