None I bought this 94 Cavalier new and now have 112,000 miles on it. This car owes me nothing. In the time I''ve owned it, I''ve done regular maintenance. Changed oil every 3k miles, etc. I did have to put in 2 alternators and brakes, but hey, not bad for 112,000 miles. We''re shopping for a new Cavalier right now. This car still runs like a top. I get 33-34 mpg on the hwy. Good leg room for a compact car and rides better than some larger cars. The price for a new Cavalier is hard to beat. I''d like to see GM improve on the 36 mo. bumper to bumper. How about a 5yr. bumper to bumper. Similar Products Used: None |

											Strength:
											 It still works.
											Weakness:
Too many to list. I''m starting to call my 1996 2 door, standard a Crapalier. I''ve spent thousands of dollars in repairs on it in the 5 years that I have owned it. I bought it new. Similar Products Used: None |

											Strength:
Powerful engine always that you have MANUAL TRANSMISSION. You have a good view when driving of the surrounding area.
											Weakness:
It has lots of very weak plastic parts, not like my very durable 93 cavalier. It´s an excelent car, it responds pretty well with it´s 2.2 engine, having in mind that you´ve got to run away from cabs and trucks in this city. The only problem here in Mexico is that it is not available the 2.4 engine version, ´couse its for exclusive use for patrols. As I said it has a very good performance, but I still remember my 93 cavalier. Similar Products Used: Cavalier 91, 93. Neon 99 |

											 Cost, reliability, overall performance
											Weakness:
Driver / passenger room, little else I owned a 1996 4 dr basic model for nearly 5 years. It was in the shop ?xD;?xA;3 times. Twice for recalls and once for a check engine light. The auto?xD;?xA;was reliable, reasonably powered, smooth driving and got terriffic mileage.?xD;?xA; I''''ve (for a short time) driven Escort and Neon and the Cavalier seems to be larger and smoother;?xD;?xA;more like a mid-sized auto by comparison.?xD;?xA;?xD;?xA;On the down side:?xD;?xA; > The car was (for me) too small. Although I''''m only 5''''10", my head would ?xD;?xA;rub the roof. I also didn''''t have enough leg room. The windshield always seemed?xD;?xA; to be (annoyingly) in my face. I felt closed in. My grandkids complained about back?xD;?xA; seat room / position / support.?xD;?xA; > The seats lacked sufficient support and I could never really get comfortable.?xD;?xA; > After about 40k miles the engine started to make "funny" noises (kinda like an ?xD;?xA; old washing machine). As I didn''''t have an extended warranty, I began to be concerned. ?xD;?xA; > Lastly, when I took the auto in for the second recall (a "30 minute job", at 7 AM), they told ?xD;?xA; me at 4 PM (after missing a day''''s pay) I would either have to leave the vehicle for ?xD;?xA; "several days" or bring it back in 4-6 months as they were back-logged! Cool look. I like it better than the new design. CHEAP!
											Weakness:
WEAK engine. 80hp isnt enough. Its kinda old an doesnt have much power. It is a convertible though and I gave it some nice race stripes. The ladies like it and its sometimes mistaken for a mustang. Its an awesome first car but its not for a SERIOUS driver. Similar Products Used: None |

											Z24 Convertible
											Strength:
Quick out of the gate, Nice styling, and easy on gas.
											Weakness:
Rough ride, cornering sucks. The only convertible in its class. The manual transmission is the only way to go with this car. The engine has some power to it but the only way to get to it is using the stick. Its a fun car to drive. Cornering is a little weak and its suspension is poor. Of course the convertible doesn''t have the sports suspension like the coupe does. Similar Products Used: Honda Civic, Del-Sol, Dodge Neon, Acura Integra |

safety, price, looks, handles very well, has good pick up , don`t sound like it`s dying when you hit the pedel
											Weakness:
14 inch tires, 15 would be nice. I had a 1995 stick , I loved it but the wife could not learn how to drive it. I got rid of it, drove some fords, there good. Drove a dodge caravan , it`s ok. Then made a big booboo bought a kia. Yep I don`t even think the Sephia is a real car. Now I`m back into a 2001 CAVALIER, Thank god for that lol. now at least I feel like I`m in a real car. Oh and it looks damn good. I didn`t have any prob with the first cavalier I don`t expect to have many with this new one. Similar Products Used: ford focus, get the 16 not the 8 vaulve |

None My 98 Cavalier was not as reliable as the one I had owned for 10 years. The alternator was replaced one month short of 3 years. But I''m hoping this was just a bad year as I''m buying a 2002 today. But I have to say I had an 89 and it lasted 10 years and ran like a charm. I''d still have it if it wasn''t for all the body rust (giving me a Freddy Flinstone floor!) Similar Products Used: None |
