Lumina Z-34
Strength:
The engine packs quite a punch, and the looks always turn heads in town. Handles pretty good and gets good gas mileage. When I had to drive to N. Carolina from northwest PA, I had to stop only once on the way down and once on the way back for gas.
Weakness:
No cup holders, aftermarket parts are very rare and everything else is so expensive. Your view is obstructed by the windshield posts because it is sloped back so much. My experiances with the car are all good except a few incidents. It has a mind of is own in the winter, it goes where it wants to. If you are planing on buying this car for your first and do not have a few bucs and time to spend on it I would look the other way because it is a little on the pricey side. All in all it is great bang for yor buc. Similar Products Used: '94 Ford Tarus, gets horible gas mileage even though it has a smaller motor. |

When you put your foot on the gas, this car will move. Lotsa trunk space. I have a kicker box in the trunk and in addition, I can fill the trunk with three large pieces of luggage for road trips. I have not had a lick of trouble out of her and she presently has 111,000 mis. Gas milage is astounding. I can keep my foot in it and still get 21+ mpg.
Weakness:
Road lighting is not good at all, particularly on dark roads. Seats arn't good for long legged people (and I am only 5'7"). Cupholders are really cheap. I drive 80+ mph and fould myself in an awkward predicament once under severe braking. It felt as though my car wanted to jacknife like a semi truck. I had to put performance springs on her and now she corners and brakes like a dream. The Chevy Lumina is a work horse. It reminds me of the chevy 60's and 70's Novas and Malibus. A work horse that can really run if you put your foot to it. It is very reliable, but short on luxury and technology. This is the perfect car for a college student, a great family car, out standing for an older person. It is difficult to find aftermarket parts even down to just rims. I Y piped mine, put rims on it, and put lowering springs on it and the only way people realize what it is, is by the snout. It shocks me how 95' American technology can't compete with to 80' Swedish technology, but hey, "It a Lumina". Similar Products Used: Honda Accord |

Chevrolet Lumina 3.1 Euro
Strength:
I believe that it is a high performance vehicle and should be filled w/ nothing other than premium petrol. The engine provides plenty of punch to teach those little punk kids a lesson off the line. I send them home cryin runnin home to their mommas with their tail hangin between their legs. It has plenty of room to pack the homizies in it when you go to my favorite place HOOOTERS.
Weakness:
The Bose factory stereo system blows I have replaced nearly everything cause it all blew or just plain sucked. The brakes arent very good either ive had a few problems w/them. It is a good car for someone to learn with but it is a little large. Has just enough power to sooth my manly needs but not enough to get me in trouble. So if your thinking about purchasing a Lumina i would do it but dont forget the few flaws it has. Similar Products Used: None |

Euro 3.1
Strength:
Its got plenty of power and just won't die! Its a safe car, heavier than just about everything in its class. I've driven through 4"x4" mailbox posts (accidentially of course!) and it only scratched the bumper. That car has 210,000 miles on it and I've only had to do routine maintenance on it since I got it in 1996. Its very comfortable and has plenty of space for both yer friends and yer stuff. 16" wheels make for excellent cornering.. it is extremely well designed from a mechanic's standpoint (EVERYTHING is easily accessable)
Weakness:
Brakes suck hard. I've never driven a car so lacking in stopping ability. The back pads never get worn, and the front ones get eaten. It tends to slide around REAL easy when its a little slick out, but fresh tires help. It doesn't get that great of gas milage (about 19city,25hwy). I don't like how you have to jack the engine forward to change the back plugs, or how you have to remove the plenum to replace the PCV valve. Gas tanks tend to develop leaks, too. Its been a great car. It has some shortcomings, like the brakes and gas milage, but the engine is soooo easy to work on! Its reliable and must have been designed by a team of Jedi's. It handles excellently and has plenty of room. It feels sporty and can gun it pretty darn well for a 3.1 V6 driven car of its weight. I'd recommend buying one to anyone looking for an inexpensive, reliable car... the lower the miles, the better. If you like rebuilding engines and stuff like that, there are few if any front-wheel drive cars that are better. Similar Products Used: Ford Taurus 3.0. The Taurus is lighter and a little quicker, but the Lumina is 10x better quality and 10x more comfortable |

Chevy Lumina Z34
Strength:
This car is very fast and looks great. It can put many newer and older cars to shame with its looks and power. It's also labeled as the first front wheel drive muscle car.
Weakness:
The only thing that I don't like is th cost of repairs. I would recommend this car to anyone who loves the feel of driving a fast, classy cars. From some points the Z34 looks like a modern car, but from other points a classic. If you couldn't ever get that camaro that you wanted, this would be the best choice. The Z34 can go as a sports car or like an Impala, with lots of room and lots of horses under the hood. Similar Products Used: Looks and runs better than any ford or chrysler made in its time. Strength:
It had great seats and the speakers were pretty good.
Weakness:
The ride was terrible, it cost a fortune to get better shocks. It went through tires like nobodys business. The check engine light came off and on all the time for no apparant reason. The transmission slipped and eventually had to be rebuilt after only 60,000 miles. The engine knocked. The drivers side window fell into the door one day while I was on a first date(very nice). The finish had little tiny cracks all over it that filled with dirt and made the car look off-white. The dash cover peeled off. The seats faded bad. The trunk leaked and fried my CD changer. The chrome flaked off the grill. There was always a weird spot in the middle of the rearview mirror that was under the glass. The rear seat belts never worked right. I hated this car so much!!! I would only want my worst enemies to own this car. They should all be driven off a cliff. I hate all Chevys now and would never want one for myself or anyone else I cared about. great acceleration, comfy, good gas mileage, great 1st car
Weakness:
no cup holders, slides around a lot in icky weather My father purchased this car for me and I haven't thanked him enough for what a great car it is. It is great for highway riding and good for me and my friends to ride in. Most people that I have talked to have put a cd player in it because the radios are pretty primitive. The two 6x9 speakers that came with my lumina provide great sound for my needs. Another thing i like is the huge trunk. This trunk provides plenty of room for just about anything i ever have needed to put in there. I would reccommend this car to anyone looking for a great kid car.
