Strength:

- Acceleration Is Great For A Car This Size
- Handles Like A Dream At All Speeds
- Low maintenance.
- Lights Turn On/Off Automatically
- Door Lock/Trunk Remote
- Steering Wheel Radio Controls
- Dual Climate Controls
- Fun To Drive
- Even Though It Is Bland, The Design Is Sleek & Aerodynamic Looking
- I Got A Great Deal On The Car ($22,008 was the sticker price, I paid $16,950 before tax, title, tags, and the like)
- The Rims Look Nice & The GoodYear Eagle RSA Tires Grip Nicely
- Runs On Regular & Decent Gas Mileage

Weakness:

- No Fog Lights (not even an option)
- Interior Rattles (screws were loose from the factory)
- Cheap Carpet Mats (drivers side almost has a hole through it after 1½ years use)
- The Z34 Should Have Ground Effects
- The Rear Spoiler Is A Joke (barely noticeable)
- The Brakes Are Terrible In Heavy Rain (even after pumping them a couple times to get the moisture off of them, the car doesn't want to stop)
- No Stick Shift Available
- This Car Should Rear Wheel Drive With An Optional LS1 v8.
- The Blind Spots Are Big
- Stainless Exhaust Is Has Surface Rust Forming On It

This car is definitely a fun car to drive. I believe it is close to being perfect as an affordable everyday car mixed with a handful of performance. There are many Rice-Burners(small Jap cars with big "fart can" mufflers) out on the Garden State Parkway that are probably pretty pissed that I smoked 'em coming out of the toll booths thinking my Z was easy prey.

They say that this car is targeted for the middle-aged (35-50 years old) male. Well, I am only 26 and I think this car is just about perfect for me. I mean I would love the room of an SUV, but I can't justify the cost & poor gas mileage. And I know they can't out-handle or out-accelerate my Z! (I like to DRIVE my vehicle)

If you’re looking to buy a Z34 though, I'd recommend the '98 or '99 model. From what I understand, the 3800 Series II is supposed to be a more reliable motor than the 3.4DOHC in the '95-'97 Z34s.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a 2000 or 2001 Monte Carlo SS if I could get the same deal I got on my car, but I'd at least like to see a Manual Transmission. Chevrolet, are you listening???

Ok, so who should buy the 1999 Monte Carlo? I would say anyone who is looking for a good size car that is very reliable. If you want a more luxury ride, go for the LS model. If you crave more performance, go for the Z34 but expect a little rougher ride due to its sport suspension.

Well the 2 cars I owned before this were a 1976 Nova and a 1986 Cutlass Supreme. I can't really compare my old cars to the Z34.

I can say that I think that the Pontiac Grand Prix is a much nicer looking car, but there is no way that I could get a Grand Prix GT for under $17k. I still like the 1997 Cutlass Supreme, it's a shame they did away with it.

Strength:

Good looks, nice speed, decent sound system, leather is great; comfortable seating, good milage, durability is great.

Weakness:

Blind spots, braking.

I would recommend this car to a first time driver. Its not too big or too small. Yes it can be a fast car, but its not that fast. Its also a good car for the winter, its not bad in the snow at all. I also like the look of the car, its laid back, yet its still sporty. If you like to drive nicely, yet still fast this is your kind of car.

Blind Spot.3.4 liter desroys transmissions.Tires wear too fast. 3.4 can be

Strength:

I think this car is pretty big for the price, I know its no lixury car but it holds its own weight. Great power for a small 3.1 V-6, Car outruns a lot of other cars like Avenger and the Camry. I like the Styling Sometimes and then I hate it Sometimes, Looks really good when cleaned up because my car has the chrome paneling on it!!

Weakness:

Transmission I think, Car sometimes doesn't want to shift into the next gear, it bogs down....Havn't had to do anything for the car in the past 2 years except oil, tires and brakes....

I would recommend this car to a First Time Car Owner it is a Great Value for what you pay....Not much money is needed for keep up on this car!! out of 10 stars this would rank a 7...Enjoy

Strength:

Comfy leather interior, awesome dual climate control, very well designed steering wheel sound system controls, quiet sunroof, heated front seats are great in cold weather, silky smooth ride, smooth shifting, great on icy roads, anti lock break system works like a dream...

Weakness:

the a/c fan started making a buzzing noise at 58,000 miles. Other than that, none.

I would recommend this product to anyone. It is more of a luxury car though.. .Mine is completely loaded. For what I paid, it was an awesome value (ordered from the factory) This car rides very smoothly and quiet. So far at 58,000 miles, I have only encountered a faint buzzing noise on the a/c fan.

It looks sweet, interior is very comfortable and accessible, it rides extremely nice, and the thing is FAST! I love the power that this thing has. Never thought I'd own a V6 that goes like this.

Weakness:

Front wheel drive, no CD player, rattling noise on startup.

I would definitely recommend it. I love this car and would trust my kids in it. Excellent gas mileage, lots of power, good looks. Perfect car. Makes me want to drive it all the time!

eats struts and brakes. Had to replace gasket around manifold. Loses 2 quarts of oil in 3000 miles, no one know why. Loud whining noise. Water pump is loud. Small interior - huge blind spot.

Would recommend only to someone who likes to spend a lot of money for nothing. Is constantly in the shop for one thing or another. Not very fuel efficient. Horrible in any typ of weather other than sunny days.

Strength:

It handles great, great acceleration, Looks sharp, very nice stock CD & sound system, Comfortable. Dual Climate control(driver and for passenger),power seats, mirrors, windows ,locks.

Weakness:

I think for a 99 LS it should have come with either remote keyless entry and or remote start. Also after I had my schedualed oil change the 'change oil soon light' has not gone off. I agree with others on Black interior & white exterior is hard to keep clean- but looks great when it is.

I recommend this car to a person who likes comfort, style, someone who appreciates cars as more than an object that gets you from point A to B.
The Monte carlo like other Chevy's has great a history behind them. Such as the greatest muscle cars of all time. This is a great car!

Its roomy and has a very smooth ride. It looks great for the price.

Weakness:

The breaks and rotors needed relpaced. The electric windows needed the motors replaced. The car's electronics caught fire at one point when turning my lights on. It also blew both heads and an exhaust manifold gasket went at 68,000 miles and flooded my engine with coolant. Also the coil packs went as well.

I would not recommend this car to anyone. If you have one. Sell it right away!!!!!!!! These cars need babied and driven as if their made of glass. You cannot drive this car like a normal driver and expect it to last. My next purchase (when I drive this one in the river) is going to be a foreign car. This is the absolute last chevy that I will ever own. Period!!
