Strength:

good on fuel, looks OK, quiet engine, good acceleration, power everything (stearing, windows, mirrors, brakes-with ABS) air condition cools great, holds the road well,

Weakness:

seat belt is kinda hard to reach, small glove compartment, inclination of a drivers seat can only be adjusted in a preset positions...a turning nob for a precise adjustment would be better...

Well, I was looking for a replacement for my 11 years old Fiat Ritmo...I went to Fiat dealer, only to find out that a basic model of Fiat Bravo (a successor to Tipo, which again is a successor to Ritmo) would cost me $9500...no accessories and only 1.2 liter engine...disapointed, I came across a newspaper with a notification of a big discount on a Daewoo cars...apparently, they took off some $700 of the price. So, pritty courious now, I went to Daewoo dealer...and before you know it, I got this great deal...a granada black SX sport, fully loaded, for only $9000...and a greatest surprise was under a bonnet- 1.6 liter 16 valve SOHC engine with 106 HP...an exact replica of Opel engine...and Opel means Germany...and Germany means qualitty! So far , the car is running great...it's amazing how well it goes with such low RPM...my old Fiat had a tippical Italian engine; you had to rev it up to 2000 RPM to even get it to move, and over 3000 before you could expect some acceleration...but SX moves from spot with a bit over 1000 RPM, and if you keep it between 2000 and 3000, you can do 90km/h(57mph) in 4th, or 120kmh(75mph) in 5th gear, almoast without even pressing the accelerator pedal. Leather on the seats, stearing wheel and parking brake releases such a great scent that I'm not even thinking about buying a car deodorant...the only thing I don't quite like is the collor of it- red. Red leather should be reserved for red cars, or at least optional..my car is black and I would prefere black leather interior...but I guess everything has it's good side...girls love it!

cabin and leg room

Weakness:

small engine size not alot of room to upgrade

It is an impressive car for the price at first. There aren't alot of perfomance parts for it. Also its about at 3,000 miles and my trans is going. And also maybe the power tran.

Stock speakers are great and I love how food it is on gas. I can go at the least 200 miles to every full tank.

Weakness:

Breaks squeak and when air (a/c) is on gas isnt good at all.

I love it!!!!! All my friends like it. It is cute and looks small but is a lot bigger inside than you would expect. I get comments on it all the time and there is always someone asking me what kind of car it is and where I got it from.

Strength:

A nice low price. It has more power than expected. It has a good sound system but that is necessary(see weaknesses). It is a good economy car. Repairs have been inexpensive. This car has an exceptional turn radius and stops very quickly indeed.

Weakness:

Loud cabin noise when at speed. The engine and fuel pump are clearly audible. This car does have mechanical problems. Wheel, recalled for safety issues, vent system broke at 36k miles, and fair to poor service.

I have enjoyed this car for what I bought it for. It takes me back and forth to work every day. If I want to drive a more expensive and nice car I drive my wife's Honda Prelude. The power is a nice surprise although I pay for that by only getting around 28 mpg. This car can make a u-turn anywhere, stops quicker than just about any other car on the road, and it was inexpensive!!
I have had various mechanical problems, although none have been major. The one that upset me the most was when it had a bad bearing in the wheel and although they replaced the joint the refused to replace the tires that had been ruined by this problem.
I recommend this car to parents who are buying their children their first car. It is a metro that has more power and gets less gas milage. It has mechnical problems like all new models. I expect the next model year to be more expensive but have worked out some of the problems.

Model Reviewed: Lanos SX,

Strength:

Unique look, lots of interior space, great on gas, phenominal acoustics (my 10 inch sub sounds incredible). Comfortable to travel in.

Weakness:

I can not find any parts to modify this car. And I am not about to import them from Australia. Doors are too thin, sunroof leaks, rims are covered in break dust that really doesn't go away after a few months of driving, and the wheels squeak every once in a while. Oh, and the A/C leaked last summer filling my passenger side floor up with about two inches of water. I supose you get what you pay for.

Great car to get from point a to point b. I have had my Lanos for two years now, loving it still but it needs a lot of work.

Strength:

nice hanling for a smaller car, two tone seats rock the house, the stock stereo i got was pretty nice too

Weakness:

too much power loss while ac is on, and the rattleing i mentioned earlier can get annoying

Descent power, nice amount of comfort inside, the leather seats really set this car apart with the two tone red and black. would like to see a black leather steering wheel instead of the red that i got, car seems very balanced handles pretty well for an econo-box. the rear spoiler and new bumpers also help the it look better than the olser models also the rear tail lights are nicer too. Only thing i found not up tp par was a rattling inside the car coming from the power mirror control panel (it needed to be tightened)

Strength:

economical, good layout, quiet, good stearing and breaking, excellent lights

Weakness:

underpowered with air conditioning. A 1600cc engine would be better. It is not good going over potholes in the road

At first it seemed like an ordinary small car but I have used it for 18 months around town and for long journeys and I realy like the car. I have few comlaints. I have driven it on 600km runs with no discomfort, which means the seats are good even if the look ordinary. Around town it is economical and nimble. The gear change is light and clear. Nothing has gone wrong with the car but I have treated it nicely.

Strength:

The Color and the air conditioner.

Weakness:

No power when climbing hills or when the air conditioner is on. Very sluggish when climbing hills with or without the air conditioner.

This car was used (24,000 thousand miles on it). I have had nothing but problems with my car. After 2 months both front tires had to be replaced and the front brakes also had to be replaced. In June the front bearing had to be replaced. I feel like I am paying for a 1979 car with 300,000 miles on it not a car I have had only for 10 months. I have spoken to the dealer to try and trade it in for a better running car but they have refused numerous times, saying I owe too much on it. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and a television network help line trying in way to get the dealer to take the responsibility for selling me this lemon of a car. If you can help me, please call me at (323) 935-1147 (ext. 518) or (909) 823-3545.

My review is very poor and I am sure you will not publish it.

almost all parts are only available through dealers and to have trans fluid checked have to go to dealer,

I love this car, did have to replace brakes and tires but upon buying it i had an inspection done and they told me that so when i called the dealer and told them they said they would take money off the price and i could go ahead and fix it myself wich wasnt bad cause i came out ahead, buying a used car you never can be sure but i really like this car
