Automatic locks dont unlock after vehicle is turned off :( Oh well thats why U get a after market alarm :)

This car rocks runs like a champ I dont know if its just cause I got a 2002 or what but these people are nuts. Now yes true there is alot of brake dust on my front rims and I dont break hard but so does my Jeep Grand Cherokee. This car has a awesome ride and with a little CD upgrade from factory the sound system in it is awesome. I have the Zetec with a 5 speed and she gets up and moves sure shes not like my cobra but I get good gas milage back and forth to work and a nice comfy ride!!

Great car, but BEWARE!!! i recently blew a rod and piston and now Ford is questioning my warranty!!! At one time I had a performance chip in the vehicle and they found out, so they told me to take it out or it will void warranty. The chip was removed 4 months ago, and they still are trying to blame the chip. My recomendation is to hold off on any after market parts for your vehicle if it has anything to do with the performance. small, good gas mileage, handling is awesome, fast

i bought this car becuase it was the only place i could get finianced. after "settling" with the focus i fell in love with it. it handles great, has good pickup. i hear bad things from other owners and it seems like it might have a little to do with the way the drive and maintain there cars.all in all a good car for what you pay.

This car is a piece of crap!!! How many recalls has it undergone? Between 9 and 13; I've lost count. Now, it's randomly stalling at any given speed and has horrible acceleration. It has done this 6 times in a span of 3 weeks. And what did the dealership tell me? "I'm sorry. We've done all we can." So not only have I received a lemon, but Ford isn't going to do one thing about it. They have managed to evade the lemon law(if you bring your car in for the same problem 3 or more times, they have to give you another one), and I get screwed, not to mention almost killed on the highway every time my car dies. If there is a lawyer out there that can do something about this, please email me! I would love nothing more than to sue Ford for all their worth!!!

DOHC, i like that a lot instead of a single.....Zetec (i guess its the Ford version of a Japanese Vetec...lol...same thing still cool), styling is pretty good i could of made it look cooler though. Perfect for hatchbak enthusiast with not that much to spend (ME!)

well of course you always want more power then your car can give you. styling like i said i coulda done better, but its still cool! this A/C prob havent smelled yet (thats not a weekness i guess) oh yeh and one more minor thing...power, everyone wants more power then what ther car gives them, and hey im 16! i want more power!!!!

i am 16. this is my first car. i wanted a hatchback (preferably the VW GTI, but that costs too much) so i found a nice Black extremely well priced ZX3 hatchback. so far, this car is great. 16V DOHC Zetec egine is nice for a 4cyl. pick up is pretty good and ride is nice. sound system is pretty good, but i have 2 15" subwoofers so dont go by what i say about audio (haha). i have black tint on it and that keeps it cool, but this smell that people are talking about....i wouldnt know because i harldy ever have my A/C on...usually windows halfway down or something. For all these people that are saying this car is a lemon and blah blah blah, i dont know why their saying this because so far ive had no problems except for a nail in the tire (which isnt the car's fault) and a piece fell off the passengers side seat (but i put it back!! hey look how that works!!!) so for now great car, great price (for me hehe), and great performance.

When I first got into my car, everything was leather, BUT!!!! the back seat. The ford people who signed off on my car, saying that everything was looking good, lied! How many ford people did it go through before I got my car? 5. Five different people all said that my car was in tip top shape. Next, CD player went along with the sun roof. After that my breaks went. The break light didn't go on until I had no breaks left.

Ever since the first day that I have had this car, I have had nothing but problems. The car is only about 4 months old, and it's been in the shop over 7 times!

- I have not encountered any of the problems the 2000 and some of the 2001 model years have experienced. - Good fuel economy - Four adults fit great in this Euro box. - It looks great. A styling that was needed in North America to give Ford a sexy entry level four banger.

- Upon delivery, when I adjusted the driver's side rear view mirror, the knob sheered off. It was fixed there and then by the dealer. - When parked and running, or when using the accessories alone, the doors lock themsleves. Ford's explanation was that this is a hangover from the Euro model's electronic key locking device. Oh well, good thing I have a spare set of keys. - I am not a hard breaker, but the front disks do emit a lot of dust, which accumulates on the plastic rim covers.

Not a new car to me. Whilst in Italy I drove my inlaws' and it was a beauty. Overall, the North American version can compare to its European sibling. Very roomy, handles great and most of all it's not a gas guzzler.

No problems here! People, all ya have to do is take care of your car- tune it up when it needs it and treat it good! GREAT gas mileage sound system, and interior design.

Nothing other than excessive paint chips on the hood from the smallest rocks touching it.

As soon as I saw the Focus, I fell in love with it. I looked into buying one, and found that it would be a great purchase. I am happy to say that I have no regrets!

I come from a Ford family, so I've had a lot of experience with Fords, but nothing quite like my Focus!

Ride, handling, quiet (compared to others in its class), size, I could go on all day.

Needs more space, but then it wouldn't be a compact, would it? Could use more HP, but it does pretty well, beat a Civic Si on the straights and twisties.

My first new car and the best purchase I have ever made! This car is quiet, comfortable on long trips (2 to NY and one to DC), smooth, and reliable. I don't know how other people treat their cars, but those who complain about the Focus probably beat the snot out of their cars and expect them to always do well. Doesn't work that way. My car has 13K miles on it in 5 months and its just like when I drove it from the dealer. No odd noises, no pieces coming off, just a good car for the right price. Why get a Honda or Toyota?
