I used to think Honda is the best brand for any vehicle and used to refer the same to others until i used it for my car for 3 years.
Transmission died below 100k mileage, Ignition switch is a major problem for Honda vehicles.
For a Honda Accord with 100k mileage, had to spend 4000.00 dollars. I think Toyota camry is better compared to this vehicle

Strength:

Runs great, gas consomption is excellent, reliable...never breaks down if you regularly do the required maintenance

Weakness:

rust in front, on hood...

This vehicle is just great. I have had it for 3 years and it still amazes me. I have driven it all over (from nh to dc, to nc, nyc, canada....u name it) and it still refuses to die. Well it reminds me of my 98 Corolla but roomier.
I would highly recommend it. Plus gas consomption is excellent. This 4 cyclinder car will empty after approx 440 miles (highway). That's awesome, especially these days...
The only real issue i have is rust on the hood

- No HID lighting option

**4k mile follow-up**

The 8th generation Honda Accord coupe offers great versatility, dynamic handling, and effortless driving. The exterior styling is like no other in its class, with slick body lines, 17" brushed aluminum/gun metal rims wrapped in performance Michelin tires the Accord puts its predecessor, the new Altima coupe to shame. One of the greatest perks of the new accord is the 2.4 190hp motor, which if anyone dates back to the 7th generation accord, the 3.0 V6 put out 200 hp - goes to show how technologically advanced Honda is getting. The motor is a bit loud but isn't noisy or irritating to the ear as some 4 cylinder motor are. The car drives very tight, with minimal body roll in cornering and superior low end torque. Not revving the motor past 3,500 RPMS in any traffic environments will have you flying by cars. When overdrive is engaged, the slightest pressure on the gas pedal gets you up to speed quickly without having the motor rev past 2,000 RPMS - at speeds 55 of below. The result of all this is excellent fuel consumption. The best fuel economy I've reached for the Accord is 520 miles to an 18 gallon fill up. Do the math and that comes to 28.8 or safely to say 29 MPG. Most people will say, well that's not that great considering the Civic gets 35(?) to the gallon or the Corolla gets 35(?) to the gallon. But consider this, comparing a comparable 2.4 or 2.5L 4 cylinder producing nearly 200hp running off of regular unleaded to achieve this type of gas economy is better than anything in the market at this point. The fit in finish is top notch, something we've always expected from Honda. The layout of the stereo/air condition can be somewhat initially overwhelming, but in time everything just feels perfect. The seats are very supportive and soft to the touch. The rear seat room - although don't buy a two door and expect to feel like you're in a Lexus in the rear - offers surprisingly roomy area. The seven speaker 270w premium stereo system is great. Although when compared to those systems of Mark Levinson, Bose, or Infinity it feels like somethings missing. The 7 seven speaker layout is massive tweeters in the door pillars the offer superior high frequencies, 6 1'2 rounds in the doors, 6 1'2 rounds on the rear deck with an 8" subwoofer mounted in the middle. When comparing the two systems - the 160w and 270w - they are clearly different. The 160w distorts at high volume and the bass seems to mellow out and "fart" as it makes the sound that resembles it, as the 270w system doesn't at all.

Model Reviewed: Accord EX-L

Strength:

The car is smooth, quiet, and comfortable. Big car with lots of room but surprisingly drives like a smaller sedan. Enough Tech Features to satisfy James Bond. Navigation system is user friendly enough to use without ever reading the manual.

Weakness:

Extensive use of plastic (particularly in center console), the premium sound system is comparable to a standard sound system in a BMW.

The new Honda Accord looks more comfortable than it really is; it also looks more expensive than it really costs.

I cant seem to find a better buy than the new Honda Accord. My former car was a 2002 BMW 3 series that drove with as much sportiness as you can pack into a four door sedan. The '09 Accord is much bigger, but surprisingly drives similar to my old BMW. It might not outperform it in turns but certainly will pull ahead of it in a straight away.

The navigation is very well thought out easy to use. I was able to figure out all the features without ever opening the manual. The voice activation is extremely accurate and forgiving; ex. it will recognize both the words "zero" and "o" in a number sequence. I tend to mumble a lot and the voice activation, surprisingly, seems to be very forgiving towards it.

Fit and finish seem to be the only down side to the car. But then again, this is probably where Honda is able to dodge some costs and keep the price lower than some higher end makers. These are by no means a rant, just an observation. The leather seems to be a bit hard; almost feels like the vinyl on my old BMW. ITs not hard like plastic, its just not as soft and supple as some more expensive cars. The seats themselves arent as comfortable as they look from the outside either. They dont hug your body the way I would prefer (this is a subjective measure), and the passenger seat does not adjust in height, which my fiance finds a bit annoying.

I havent had the car long enough to speak on its reliability but given its reputation I'm hoping for the best.

Weakness:

I have driven a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for 5 years. I started considering a car because of the gas prices and the 2008 Honda Accord caught my eye. After looking at the car and thinking about it for a couple of months, I finally traded. The 2008 Honda Accord EXL 4 cylinder is a Great Car. I have owned it for 5 months and I love the car. It looks like a much more expensive car. I have never owned a Honda, but the new Accord body style and Honda's reputation is what attracted me and I have no regrets. We recently took a 1200 mile trip and thoroughly enjoyed the car, especially the gas mileage. We got 32.3 miles per gallon. The car is very comfortable with lots of space in the front and back seat areas. The XM radio and sound system are very nice. I can't imagine anyone not being happy with this car.

Strength:

Great look, nice feel, and great value.

Weakness:

I'm only getting approx 23 mpg with the V6 - on the highway i get 29-30, but most of my commute is stop/go.

The car looks and performs out of its class. Look for strong similarities between the Acura TL and the 2008 accord in both interior and exterior design styles. The comfortable heated seats and rich sound system really take the edge off my commute to and from work and the 268 hp engine instills both comfort and confidence on the road during rush hour.

GOOD PRICE (If you pay 25,000 or more for this car, you are paying too much. Its easier to just get it at 19,000 and its basically the same)

Great Steering

Fast

Great Gas Mileage (31 MPG)

SAFE

Sleek Design

A LOT OF ROOM IN THE CAR (Very Underrated part of the car)

It' a honda, come on

Weakness:

None really...

This automobile is spectacular and is the best overall sedan I have ever purchased; There are three main concepts to the accord...
1) Easy to drive
2) Great Gas
3) Great Price

This car certainly has some 'pep' and can go pretty fast (0-60 is a few seconds). It is also a reliable car because the accord line is known for safety. Signals, turning, accelerating, lane changing, stopping short is great in this car. I personally like it better then the Chevy Malibu and Toyota Sedan (I forget which one) and those companies usually compare themselves to the accord...for instance, the Malibu's big advantage to the accord mentioned in commercials is better gas mileage, when it turns out, the Malibu gas only is one gallon better then the accord. The car also has a lot of room.

The accord is ideal for any person, teenager-seniors. It can go fast and its extremely safe, the best sedan I have ever driven.
