Strength:

- Straight forward, nice lines, extremely ergonomic.
- Good reliability (but not a Camry)
- Handles very well... highly nimble machine
- Good on gas
- Great Honda finish (paint and interiors) for a 96 model year

Weakness:

- May get rusty if not taken care of
- Low torque on automatic... Get a 5spd!
- AC very weak
- Bit small (by american standards)
- Cant think of anything else!!

Lets face it... this car is not a 3 series Beamer or an Audi A4. So expecting it to perform like one, is an absurd assumption. When I take the price one would pay for the this car and I compare it against the performance, ergonomics and reliability it is able to deliver... I would rate it as the number one car in its class. I am not saying that because I need to justify my buying this car... rather all these reasons and more, made me buy this car. I have driven almost all the cars in its size category - Audi A4, BMW 325ci and 323i, Toyota Camry, Dodge Stratus, Mitsubishi Galant, etc. But believe me, this car makes me the happiest. Its nimble, light on the gas and steering, nice throaty engine (compares to a Beamer, but is more characteristically Honda). I am an architect and now a real estate management professional... and I can really appreciate how Honda over the years have committed themselves towards making motorsports engines (take the F-1 cars they make - BAR and Jordan Hondas now and Mclaren Hondas before... truely world class machines). To a certain extent, one can see the racing committments filter through into their road legal cars like the civic, accord, prelude and now the S2000. The design is at par with it time... way better than the 1995-97 Camrys... and the interior ergonomics are astoundingly well researched, for the price one would pay for this car.

I am really happy with this car... except the interiors is a bit too small (well... so is the BMW and Audi)... the AC is weak and the trunk is small. It could have been a bit larger.

Final say - this is a great little japanese machine for a single guy or newly-wed... Honda is a great company, probably the only japanese car maker who's products can be compared to the Germans.

Strength:

nice seats, and looks.

Weakness:

Lets see......... within the first year I had it the service department sees it more than what my co-workers do! BAD TRANNY.....IT STARTING TO SLIP ONLY AFTER HAVING 23K MILES, SHORTAGE IN LIGHTS, BAD PAINT, LAST BUT NOT LEAST AC MAKE THE V6 FILL LIKE A V4 WHEN IT ON, A CHEVY PINTO GOES FASTER!

Over all people think it a great car which, i think since a year that I have owned it is bull. Other car in it class like AMERICAN cars have a better solid built, better paint a realibilty. It a over rated plastic car! I will never buy a Honda again!

Model Reviewed: Accord EX V6

Strength:

Quality, smooth engine, beautiful interior, good stereo, great brakes.

Weakness:

Fairly hard drivers seat (I sit on a pillow on long trips), but ergonomically correct for back support. More road noise than I'd like.

We bought our first Accord in 1986. I sold it to my son (for $1.00), and it still runs great at 184,000 miles. Because we needed a new car, we bought another Accord (2000). Once again, it's a quality product from Honda. The V6 engine is smooth and quiet, and gets surprisingly good mileage, even for an automatic. I average 20 MPG city, and after a recent trip to Mammoth Lakes (with an average speed of 85 MPH with the air on), got 29.9 MPG. The 2000 models have a little air noise through the windows, but I understand the 2001's have been improved in that area. The car is absolutly reliable. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Model Reviewed: Accord coupe EX V6

Strength:

Mine has almost every available option. For that price and Honda's resale value I can live with it. But my next car will be a BMW again.

Weakness:

No power. With AC on this car can keep up with a Ford Scort.

This is the slowest 200 HP car I have ever driven. At dealer they tell me every thing is ok and the car runs the way is suppose to.
I own a 1999 Accord V4 and I thought maybe a V6 would be better. I traded my 1997 Mitsu Diamante (V6 200HP) for this car and one thing is sure, or my Diamante wasn't a 200 hp car or this honda is missing something.
