Strength:

Smooth ride, but very little body roll. Looks, people usually love it or hate it. ENGINE, this 2.2L engine is smooth as butta! Once you hit about 4500rpm, the engine never stops pulling while making a beautiful exhaust note.
Great clutch and shifter. Again smooth as butter.

Weakness:

Very little headroom. A few minor annoyances, such as headliner tick and a few others that are not really worth mentioning.

A bit overpriced if you are into toys. But I guess all the money goes into the engine, suspension, and quality materials. You can get a faster car, but you will not get one at this price that delivers the perfect balance of speed, handling, refinement, and looks.
Don't regret spending all this cash for "just" a Honda. I just hope the general public never finds out about this car.

Strength:

Ultra reliable (have 115,000 miles). Still as much horsepower when new. Enjoy driving it. Extremly happy.

Weakness:

Creaky sunroof (read more below); sticky shifter; door and trunk seals pop off easily; goes out of alignment easily and can chew up tires if not kept in alignment. All Honda dealers suck! I have used four (lack of competition).

Great car. Extreme performance for a simple 4-piston motor. I can't say enough good things about this car. I only had two real repairs in 115,000 miles (I purchased new in '92): Ignition rotor and emissions control both around $320 each. I follow maintenence and oil changes like a religion (timing belt replacement with checkup was over $800!). Now for the bad news: Creaking sun roof: Honda has a few service bulletins out on this, none worked; one dealer just kept greasing it; live with it. Sticky shifter: when heated up, the shifter won't spring around in nuetral causing me to miss-shift; dealers deny I have a problem they just keep greasing it (doesn't work); live with it. Careful with door seals, these are not well designed. Keep it aligned and rotate the tires otherwise it will chew them up especially in the rear. Oh yea, Honda dealers suck and are overpriced (if you want a list of documented woes, email me, I am not just whining).

Strength:

acceleration, handling, brakes, honda reliable, best of all
very exclusive ride, I must see at least 20/30 civics every day on the road.

Weakness:

tight back seat, but usable, ocassion ticks from sunroof,
loud suspension sounds in the cabin, definetely not as quiet as an accord

I've had this car for close to 2 years now. I've got about 30k miles. Outside of a loud rear suspension noise which
was fixed, the car has been perfect. It's fun to drive and while it's a little tight it fits my needs. I'm married have 2 kids 6 & 3 year old boys. Definetely would buy it again.
As far as the performance, just read the December issue of
"Car & Driver" magazine. The Prelude won their comparison test. This car has a Jekyll and Hyde personality. At normal rpm's it drives like my wife Accord. But spin the tach over 5000 rpm's and it tranforms into a true sport car.

Strength:

Good looks, superb power, handling is quite good and as reliable as my swiss army knife.

Weakness:

poor rear seating, easy to damage exaust. Curiously mine developed a creaking sound which comes from the sunroof when it is closed; only in slow speed on uneaven road. Could anyone help? My mechanic thought it's loose sunroof but it's not!

i just love this car but probably the celica handled better. Can't complain though.

Strength:

Amazing handling both on the road and at the track. Next to NO understeer, decent ride quality. Increadable power and top end speed for a 2.2l four. Appearance has grown on me. SH model worth the extra $$ for the ATTS alone.

Weakness:

VERY uncomfortable seat and driving position. Basic controls very poorly designed (HVAC controls and vents, steering wheel too thin and hard). Has not been as reliable as I expected, though not bad. Brakes not up to serious driving

An otherwise excellent car is completely spoiled by terrible seats and terrible ergonomics. I can't drive this car for more than 10 minutes without getting a sore back. Be prepared to buy decent aftermarket seats if you plan any long trips in this car or daily use

Strength:

Smooth, well built, very reliable, attractive interior.

Weakness:

Understeered badly, useless rear seat

Very well build car, but they call it a Quelude for a reason. It understeered like a dump truck. Steering was precise, but lack of feedback made that pointless. Front end never felt solid and connected. If you want a reliable sporty car this is a good bet, but forget putting anything other than your purse in the back seat. If you want a serious drivers car this isn't it, feel and feedback weren't there.

Strength:

Good acceleration. Good looking. Great handling. On two occasions I've had to go into the emergency lane of an interstate at approximately 75 mph because of reckless drivers. Both times the car held firm and I felt completely in control. Good center of gravity and very little body roll.

Weakness:

I blew a crankshaft seal the day before Honda recalled the seals. Check out a search engine for details. The recall was announced in the fall of 2000 and affects several years. If you blow the seal, you must stop because you will lose all of your oil.

Back seat is a joke. You can fit a smallish adult in the rear if a smallish adult is in front of him.

I am 6'2" and do not have trouble seeing out the back window. (I think height is an advantage in this case.) I do have to turn sideways when entering the car because I'll jam a leg, otherwise.

I was getting about 25.5 mpg when I bought it. It went to 26.5 after new oil seals and a timing belt. After switching to Mobil One synthetic 0W-30 oil, I'm getting around 27.5 in mixed driving. On a long trip recently, I got almost 30 mpg. Try the new 0W oil; it's thinner and helps the mileage.

I drove a friend's Integra Type-R. He says it has 200 HP, but my meager 160 hp feels faster. Maybe his car has to rev real high before it kicks in.

One review I read said that the Si's are comparable to the VTEC is autocross because they have their maximum torque at lower rpms than the VTEC's. Apparantly, if you don't spend your time driving in high rpm's, you miss out on the advantages.

Strength:

Acceleration is a plus, great gas mileage (on the highway), beautiful car, easy to drive, nice features,( sunroof, heated leather seats, heated mirrors, 7 speaker sound system, and resale value is excellent. i really love the sound of the engine, and the kick of the VTEC, it feels almost like a turbo. Not too many factory cars can beat this one, thats why i love it so much.

Weakness:

low rpm power, sloppy gearshift, small back seat, noisy rear strut mounts, when cold out. handling is not that great, needs to be lower, sits too high.

Good car, expensive, but good, awesome power for a 4 cylinder, the kind of car you can drive for 3 years and still get your money back, honda quality always a plus.

acura integra gs, prelude is way faster, way more classy, and resale is much better.
