Great shape. Warranty. Color
Power. quiteness

Weakness:

I don't know if this is just because of used car and has some problem in Shocks but car is not comfortable in local way driving. In highway, no probelm.

Great car for those who care about the economy of car. I bought '99 Sonata GL V6 with 25000 mile at $10500. It is perl white and really good shape. I am 90% satisfied and recommend anyone to buy used car. I brought the car to Hyundai dealer and spent 0 to fix some minor works.

Model Reviewed: Sonata GLS (2.0 DOHC 16v)

Strength:

Lots of room inside, enough power, reasonable fuel economy,
attractive design, good bodywork, comfortable seating,
great price, good service.

Weakness:

Had a transmission problem which cost me around $500, but even this
could not change the good impression, the Sonata has left on me.
Ugly steering wheel. (Thinking about changing it)

Considering its price, this is a miracle car. My car is 6 years old now,
and still no annoying noises on bumpy roads. It has 4 wheels independent ABS working perfectly, cruise control working perfectly, and
has many other features which mean big money at similar cars. I love driving it, this is a big car for Turkey actually, and the high-end model of Hyundai in Turkey. Provides a smooth ride and is very comfortable on the highway and in the city. I believe, this is a very reliable car.

If anyone's thinking about buying a mid-size sedan, I definitely recommend the Hyundai Sonata. Why pay more for a smaller Honda Accord? I know that Hyundai does not leave a good impression with the name, but the Sonata is worth trying.

Strength:

-styling
-smoothness
-impressive quietness
-pretty nimble
-side air bag
-great standard features(alloy wheel, A/C, power/pack, cruise, and more)

Weakness:

-front grill could be prettier
-Idling sound little louder than Lexus ES300.
-others are not worth to mention

My sonata was 4cy 5sp, with keyless entry, mud gaurd, and dealer applied under coating and sealant and tatal was $16,767, but I paid only $13,880 including destination charge. So I paid about $1400 cheaper than invoice. And I got 0.9% financing.

I downed $4500 with trade in and I am paying $298.50 for 36 month, so i paid $15,240 for everything(tax, title, interest, everything).
with about 8% financing, which is average for good credited man, 15000 is about same as getting $12000 car(Sephia, Echo, Accent).

Simply I got great deal( might not be greatest^^)

So far I love this car.
it is not smooth as V6 with gas shock., but it is still really good.
When I was running about 50- 90mph I can't feel the big difference. And in the 5th gear I can't hear the sound of engine I can feel the accel. but just can't hear in high speed.

compare to Accord, which my friend bought (4 cy, only sunroof, CD more than mine, but no side airbag)he pays $11,000 more including interest. Guess who's happier.

Strength:

Excellent styling, turned heads when I first got the car. I ahve the 6 cyl, black in color, leather interior. Only had one minor problem in the 1st 30000 miles. Plenty of comfort and power..I love the car!!

Weakness:

A little too much road noise..squeaky leather seat drives me crazy sometimes.

I highly recommend it..I did a lot of research on the car and found no downsides to the car...great price..very close to Toyota quality, with a far smaller price..very comfortable.

Best price on the earth, Looks& finish, Quite+ smooth+ solid riding.
Best warranty
Safety features that you can only find on BMW like luxury cars.

Weakness:

sometimes floaty suspention.
Noisy mich tires on a rough road.

You want to buy camry or accord?
Go test drive both and give a Sonta a chance.
You will see why I like Sonata a lot.
Same good car as japanese, but up to $7000 less.

Strength:

Price is good

Weakness:

Cheap paint job. High maintenance. You have to replace the drive belt at 60k which can be quite expensive. Most cars have a chain rather than a rubber belt. I had trouble with the transmission which is unusual in a one year old car. This car does not hold its value like a toyota does. In the end, when it comes to trading in your car, the low price you paid is cancelled out by the poor trade in value.

Paid 16k and I would not recommend this car. Stick to the Camry instead. Don't be fooled by the low price and warranty.

Model Reviewed: Huundai Sonata V6 GLS

Strength:

- overall design and quality,
- smooth (V6) engine and automatic transmission,
- large interior space,
- lots of standard features,
- longer warranty(5/5/10),
- solid body construction (less "outside" noise than Camry)

Weakness:

- smaller trunk space than competitors,
- factory installed remote works somewhat confusing,
- cup holder location, (right side of parking brake)

I had 95 Toyota Camry for 5 years and traded in for this 2000 Sonata.

Interior and exterior designs are excellent, the interior space is "generous". I have a baby seating in a car seat, so I compared the "rear hip room" size. This one is one of the best.

No mechanical problem so far, at 8000 miles.

Body construction is solid and outside noise are minimal.
Engine noise is little louder than Canry, but its quicker than Camry.
Suspension, at freeway pathhole, is not quite good as Camry, but acceptable.

Recommend top of the line V6 GLS rather than base 4-cyl model.

Perfect for family sedan.

The warranty, 5/60K limited and 10/100K power train, please note the 10 year power train warranty is only valid for the first, original owner. When ownership transfered, it will be 5 year...

Super value for the money, had features of much more expensine car, roomy interior, great ride, solid car, nice styling, sharp interior

Weakness:

No bing-bing when you leave the lights on

Yeah I know - a Hyundai? Well, I was as surprised as you will be when you drive this car. Got the FULLY loaded car with package 14 and sun roof. It's the most expensive Hyundai you can get. Even got the rear spoiler (which by the way cannot be seen from the driving position). This car affords you a very smooth ride, decent acceleration, and is a pleasure to drive. Got the car in the Light Moss color with beige leather interior. Sure it doesn't have the ratings an Accord or Camry have.... yet. But add up all the features such as side air bags, abs, independent suspension and so on for any car in it's class and tell me you're not getting a feature packed car. My sticker was 21,890 and I got it for 18,900 (300 above invoice). Forget what you know about Hyundai's and drive this car - you'll be a beleiver too.

10 year/100,000 mile warranty;0.9% for 48 months/THE RIDE IS SMOOTH, IT FEELS LIKE YOUR FLOATING.THERE'S MORE THAN ENOUGH HORSEPOWER(170)AND ALL ASPECTS OF THE INTERIOR ARE 100% LUXURY.

Weakness:

THE BODY STYLE IS NICE, BUT IT STILL HAS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.

$19,500 FOR THE MOST LOADED MODEL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE LOOKING AT BUYING A HONDA, TOYOTA, OR ANY OTHER MIDSIZE SEDAN, TRY OUT THE SONATA. YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE HOW FAR HYUNDAI HAS COME. THERE ON THERE WAY TO BEING ONE OF THE HIGH RESALE CARS. --BETTER TO BY ONE NOW, THAN TO WAIT TILL THE PRICE CATCHES UP TO THEIR QUALITY

Strength:

Loved the color.

Weakness:

The crampy feeling that I got by having my thighs against the door and I am a short-small person!
The bumpy contact w/the road feeling while driving this
tiny, so called Mid-sized car.

For $17k-$19K, I think not until Hyundai makes this car
a litte roomier and confortable.
