Broke down the very first day. 200 yards from my house. The engine shut off and wouldn't re-start...(Yes there was gas)

$18,500 or there abouts. I recommend the 48 month purchase with 0.9% financing, if you can get one that will keep on running. The 5 year roadside protection plan is definately a plus.

very comforterable,lots of room, (im 6.1ft 375)so if i fit, any one will :)very durable, used for taxi cabs here in thunder bay. one cab has been hit 3 times in a accident. 2 twice rear ended by a big 2 ton truck, and still drives fine. these cars compete well with the chev lumina here which are also used as cabs.

bad re sale, but will change over the years. remember honda and toyota in the 1970's? after a few stumbles, hyundai is finally cleaning it's act up.

yes i would, lots of car for the money. but bad lingering stigma of previous owners of hyundais of yesteryear.but if you buy one and like it, why care what the neighbours think or some person with a mouse to click ?

Mine is the package 13 GLS with a spoiler, mud guards, wind deflector, keyless entry, etc. Absolutely recommend it. I shopped around alot before I made the decision and for the money it is the best. I really think that in a few years Hyundai in general will be in the same sentences as Toyota and Honda.

Initially the car seemed like a good deal for the money. Fully loaded and good pick up on the highway.

Where do I start? The techs can't get my AIR BAG light on the dash to turn off. The interior lights keep blowing a fuse and no one can get those to last more than a day. Brakes suck...for having a car 60,000 miles, they've been replaced way too much! My transmission fluid becomes dirty so quickly that every time I take it into get an oil change, they recommend a fluid change (which is only supposed to happen every 30,000 miles). My timing went out at 55,000 miles (5,000 miles before they even suggest you replace it. I've had to replace the air compressor. And now that I'm out of my warranty, my seals are going bad! Yeah Hyundai!

Horrible product. This car has turned into a financial nightmare. I feel like I'm trapped with it and can't even trade it in without suffering.

We traded off our Ford Contour for a Hyundai Sonata. We have not had it very long, but it has been pretty good so far! I hope we don't have the same experience with the Sonata as we did with the Contour.

None, affordable car note

Transmission is gone after 77,000 miles. I had a checy that went to 110,000 miles. I was at least two months before paying it off. We owe $6,000 on this car. Its sitting outside like a statue. Brakes was always bad on this car. From day one! They have recalled it a million times. Air condition went out after a year. No wonder the person brought it back in one year or less. Its a 97, we brought it in Feb 98

When we brought the car, it had problems a weak later.i can give a story on this car, it would be called "LEMON"

They want us to put in $1,800 for a rebuilt transmission. Please!
The car isn't worth it. If I had that, i would go by a new car.

I'll never buy Hyundai again!!!! Affordable transffered to a liability and debt that sits over my head now, even though the car does not work anymore.

Good gas milage, it looks good, it drives great, and it is very roomy, has power everything and a CD player (Although, the stereo could use a little more power).

There has been some minor rust developing around the door frame, and the car stalls once or twice if the gas tank is filled up all the way. Also, the suspension is a little too bouncy and the body roll is too much for my personal liking.

Good power, great price, great warranty (upgraded to 100,000 miles bumper to bumper for an extra $840). Got the car with 9750 miles on it, it has over 20K on it now and it still works great.

The cavalier's seats suck(they make you feel like you're sitting in the floor) and the engine power equals a lawn mower, also the steering is reminiscent of a go-cart, the Sonata is a much smoother ride and the steering and shock absoprtion are much better). The Corsica was good, it had a 6 Cylinder but the Sonata is bigger and just as powerful.

power everything in the gls, sunroof, powerful v6 engine, big trunk, plenty room inside, just an overall good looking /good preformance car.

trasmisson problems like i said, power windows dont last long they either burnout or the plastic molding around them eventually gets caught in the window making it nearly impossable to roll up, sucks gas like a mofo, hard to find custom parts for.

when i bought it i had never heard of it and was in a big rush to get my first car. im really glad i came across it because it is a great car. some troubles with the transmission shifting gears too hard and sticking in 2nd which really pisses me off when im racing. people probably think "race a hyundai what a joke" tell that to my tailights this 3.0 v6 conquers all. never lost a stop light race, not once even with the transmission poblems. its also really hard to find custom accesserys for this car like ground effects and other parts made only for the make and model of the car simply because its not a popular car. got the black outs for it though.

Ride, perfomance...added K&N filter system, larger and dual exhaust pipes, and tweeked the computer via a lap top. it has 4 wheel disk brakes, independent suspention and front and rear sway bars. Factory. It was rated at 142 bhp from the factory. It now puts out about 197 hp Dyno tested, not front wheel tested. Its a good cross country cruiser.

The paint finish faided The clear coat wore off. Only on the top of the car and top edge of the rear bumper cover...It needs painted. The AC is week on hot days in the California sun. The only mechanical problem I have had is the car will shut down at highway speeds it just shuts off. Its not over heating and the AC usually is not on. Its done it since Ive owend it and the dealerships nor I can find any problems. If anyone knows of this condition let me know how you handled it. The car will restart after it sets for 10 minutes or so. It only does it during the heat of the day and on long continuous drives over 6 hours.

I bought the car new, Im in the military and I do a lot of traveling and the car has never left me stranded. (However read below) I have done nothing mechanical (repairs) to the cars engine (nothing). Yes I do change the oil and fluids religously...I have however replaced the half shafts (axels)in the front. Both at 105,000 miles. It now has 119,000 miles and it feels as strong as the day I bought it. I havent even put struts on it yet. WOW..
The car came fully loaded (no leather) but it had a power sunroof. For the price I couldnt turn it down. I bought it close to the Navy yards in Charleston It was ordered by a Capt in the Navy lucky me he turned it down. The car is however peacock green w/charcole enterior. It looks blue and green depending on the sun and your position, I have never seen another one (color)like it. Thats a good thing.
