Strength:
Fairly peppy
Weakness:
Noisy, Rough, Cold weather I live in a cold climate with snow, sleet, road salt, etc... Cars don't last as long here but it seems that the Sephia had climate shock right out of the box. Every lock freezes up and the suspension was very rough on cold days and we have alot. Gas consumption is OK but my Shadow still got better milage. It is an A to B car, no frills. It's loud with periodic rattles and squeaks and the automatic transmission is very clunky and erratic. But in defence of my car it does get you there and in a hurry and there is lots of room. It is good but KIA has to do it's homework this car should be able to hold up to the Canadian winter and please hunt down those squeaks. Hopefully they will improve on this. If you want a smooth and quiet ride go get a Honda or Mazda. If your watching the bottom line get a KIA. Similar Products Used: '93 Dodge Shadow trade-in for Sephia |

Strength:
Seems to be very dependable! I haven't had any problems yet. In one years time I put 22,000 miles on the car with no repair bills. Only general mantinence required.......runs great
Weakness:
A friend of mine here recently said the only problem he has had with them is thier trade in value is very low........ He is a car lot owner in Nashville TN. I've honestly would recomend this car for house moms, first time buyers, or budget concerned people. It seems to have enough dependability to go from point a-b without a problem. I hate to hear others have had the problems they've expeirenced. It's proven itself to me, personally. Similar Products Used: Toyota Corolla |

Price, mileage, reliability.
Weakness:
No cupholders and the seatbelts get twisted in the shoulder guide easily. The interior is luxurious, but jeez, what do you want for 10k? My wife and I (before we got married) each had a vehicle that was going to die at any moment and niether had AC. This was Arizona by the way. A month before we got married I bought the car brand spanking new (most of the country didn't even know what Kia was) for 10K. We had a warranty bumper to bumper for three years and five on the powertrain. No worries for at least 5 years. It was worth it. In the past 7 years we have put 108K miles on it and replaced the radiator and two CV boots (left and right). In 1994 it was a Kia body with a Mazda engine and McPhereson struts. An excellent buy at any perspective. From what I understand in the years to come they started putting more Kia parts into them and the quality went down. It's no Lexus, but for the money, when they were new in the country, they were a great buy. I just felt bad that everyone today is bashing them. I thought I would write a quick not to encourage all the other closet Kia fans from 1994. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
I comes with sun glasses
Weakness:
Everything from the car to the glasses. Wow, this is the worst car I have ever driven. It rattles so much at idles and it goes from 0 to 60 in 4 hours. It's really weak and cheap and one day, when I was coming back from work, the car enflammed on me and my daughter died in the fire because no one was able to open the doors because the child safety locks didn't work for the inside or outside. The back right wheel always wanted to come off and was rattling on its own and for some reasons I had splinters when I was driving. An odd sound also came from the passenger mirror and heating was no existant (until it enflammed our car). Truck capacity is minimal. Also, my friend who has one was driving back from work one day and his rear axle came off and the car was driving on its front wheels. Similar Products Used: Ladas, Daewoo Lanos |

Strength:
the best strength is it is very light to manuver and alot of space to work inside the engine. which means that u can put a better engine and eat si's for breakfast. I know i have seen it
Weakness:
the weakest thing i would have to say would be the brakes. I have had to bring them in 2 or 3months later for one whole year after spending $575.00 overall summary---> ((><)) the chances of u getting a good kia is 1 out of 1000 cause there are not alot of people who like this car and almost all of them are lemons. but the only reason y i bought this car is cause i did not want a civic i wanted a car that people know it was a bad car to hook up and then i prove them wrong so far i did but i still have a long way to go. -------- Latin Legacy -------- Similar Products Used: None |

Kia Sephia LS
Strength:
Excellent Warranty, low road noise, plenty of room for class of car. Mine has been very fuel efficient getting around 35-37mpg highway and 30-34mpg in town. No problems- change the oil every 2500-3000 miles. I dont rag on mine- its not a sports car by any means. You get what you pay for. I like this car better than my previous 2000 model Toyota Corrola.
Weakness:
Had to have the antenna tightened up! thats it! We have really enjoyed ours- No problems, I would consider buying another one. Similar Products Used: 2000 Toyota Corrola, 91 Honda Civic, 91 Ford Probe |

Strength:
Ummmmmmm........The color is nice. Oh, the gas usage is pretty good.
Weakness:
Brakes, engine, air system, coolant system, it is overall poorly made and expensive (in terms of time and money) to repair. STAY AWAY from this piece of junk! I do all of the recommended maintenance, plus, nevertheless, I am always having problems with it. It is dead along the side of the road or in the shop almost as much as it is running. It has had three recalls so far. Even the dealership has little confidence in the vehicle. The last time the engine light went on I called to schedule an appointment with the dealer. They could not see the car for a week, when I asked if I should drive it with the engine light on, they responded "If you never drove a Kia when the engine light is, you would seldom drive a Kia." Strength:
-WARRANTY (10 Years/100,000 Miles... ALL major components. 60,000 miles Bumper to Bumper. Can you beat this?!?!)
Weakness:
Man I don't know what everyone is complaining about, I haven't found ANYTHING wrong with this car yet. Maybe the 2000 is just a big stepup from the previous models. And if anything does go wrong the dealrship has got it covered... literally, there is nothing wrong with this car! Over 30K miles already and nothing has gone wrong. I LOVE this car! I am a student and it serves all my needs above and beyond the call of duty. In the winter I throw the stock allow wheels on and some studs and it takes me snowboaridng wherever I want to go. I've taken it on road trips and with a K&N airfilter and a new intake this thing flies (for a car in its class) and the mileage is amazing! NOTHING has gone wrong with this car, granted I change the oil EVERY 3,000 miles and pick one day a month to do some routine maintinece (trust me you can maintain it too, just buy a Chilton's manual). Other than that I wash and wax it every weekend and it turns heads. Its roomy and has a great interior. And the stock stereo system is pretty decent! But it begs for an amp and 2 12"s.
